First Impressions: Zoeva Rose Golden Luxury Set Vol 2

If you follow me on Instagram you'll know that something VERY exciting happened the other day. So exciting that I couldn't wait to blog about it. So exciting that I nearly hugged the delivery man. When I was in my PJ's. I looked hot. One of the benefits of having a brother who lives in the middle of nowhere in Switzerland is his ability to pick me up the beautiful, stunning, alluring, delicate, very-hard-to-find and more importantly, rose-golden, Luxury Zoeva Brush Set Vol 2. These brushes have been on my wish list for an absolute age and now I have them. They are all mine!!! - I think I'm still in shock. So I thought I would share a "Unboxing - First impressions" blog post. I hope to follow this up with another blog post after I've been using them for a while! Beware this may be a long post full of totally swooning photos.

The Rose Golden Luxury Set Vol 2 comes with 8 "essential brushes for your face and eyes". I think the word essential is really important here. The whole purchasing of this product was very very essential...Yes mum, I know you read my blog - these were ESSENTIAL. Anyways enough of trying to justify myself...One thing that I severely lack is eye brushes which is why I was initially drawn to this set.

I bought the set on https://www.zoeva-shop.de/ and it came to a total cost of 65 EUR and they took four anxious, long days to arrive.  Now finally about the brushes themselves!  Below is a list from the website  of all the brushes included in the set;

"Face:

104 Buffer: Apply and blend foundation
109 Luxe Face Paint: Contour and shape with powder
126 Luxe Cheek Finish: Apply powder, blush and bronzer

Eyes:

226 Smudger: Softly apply and blend eyeshadow along the lash line
228 Luxe Crease: Blend transitions to a seemless finish
234 Luxe Smoky Shader: Apply and blend eyeshadow for a smoky finish
317 Wing Liner: Apply eyeliner with the perfect flick
322 Brow Line: Apply eyebrow products for perfectly shaped brows "

Initially when opening my delivery the stunning Zoeva brush clutch case caught my eye. It's a good size to use either as a makeup bag or to keep your brushes safe.

7 of the brushes come with a thick plastic protective sleeve. I'm not quite sure why one of them is missing them but oh well! This is such an added bonus as a few of my brushes hairs have been torn out from being mishandled! When taking the sleeves off, it was love at first sight. From the moment you set eyes on them you can tell that they are of great quality. The brushes themselves feel durable and sleek. The brush hairs are made out of synthetic taklon and are incredible fine and soft. The brushes are animal cruelty free and because of the synthetic hairs they are more hygienic than brushes with real hair, or so I'm told -

For the face brushes, I am most intrigued with the buffer brush. After buying a beauty blender I haven't really used a face brush for foundation for quite a while. I usually find my makeup is too streaky but I've heard magical things about this brush so am very excited!

From the eyes collection I am really excited for the 322. I don't actually own a brow brush that isn't one of those plastic thingies that you get in a brow kit. I know, hold the gasps - I'm hoping that this will somehow give me that "fleek" eyebrow look. Maybe threading mine would help too....

For a first impression, look wise, I'm very excited to try these out! Although they are on the pricier side to my real techniques brushes, I think you get a great variety of brushes and the quality is gorgeous, gorgeous I tell you!

Let me know in the comments below if you would like a blog post on my thoughts after using them! What's your favourite makeup brush brand?

  2. I am so jealous, even ordinary Zoeva brushes look amazing but the rose gold version is just stunning! I'd love to know how you get on with them, particularly the buffer brush as I've been using my beauty blender for my foundation for ages too!

  20. I only discovered these brushes the other day as I'm thinking they'd make a great gift for my sister for Christmas! But ultimately I know they'll end up in my collection at some point also! I already own the first Rose Gold set & I didn't think a brush set could get much more beautiful than that but these brushes prove otherwise! Seeing them up close like this has definitely made my mind up about needing them, beautiful photography and a lovely post :-) I can't wait to try them out!
