Here we go....

I've missed writing my chatty blog posts and although I know mine have been very beauty related recently, here's what's been going on in my thoughts....

Tomorrow I fly back to England to go back to University and start my final year - It's safe to say, I'm nervous. I had spent a year away from academics working in London for my industrial placement and I've forgotten what it is like to be a student. I'm worried I will go back disliking my course, my housing arrangements and I'm even worried about seeing friends again. I'm apprehensive about bumping into specific people and more so, meeting up with friends who I haven't seen for over four months during the Summer holidays. I'm excited about new beginnings, new housemates, new modules but also worried my past will come back and bite me - If you're completely lost I'd suggest reading this blog post, makes things a lot easier than a repeat -

If it wasn't stressful enough we had to buy our tickets to the Fresher's week nightclub events and jeez it was like buying tickets to go see Beyonce. They sold out in thirty minutes, everyone was panicking (myself included) and although I was gutted to only get tickets for two nights (even if Example is one!) I am sure it will be an amazing time!

With my dissertation coming up, graduation (hopefully) and even more scary....my gym membership being reissued GAHHH, it's going to be an interesting year. I have plans of course, goals etc to make this "the BEST year at University YET" such as; try not to gain your weight in chicken kievs, attempt to make it to the gym, working hard and get a job - no problemo!

So here I am in Switzerland, packed and ready to go. Please someone assure me that I'm not the only final year student absolutely terrified to go back? What about clubbing? Am I going to look or even worse FEEL old? Oh my, will I be able to sit in Wagamama's and tell the first years and the final years apart? Signing off in hopes that Easy A will keep my mind to rest - any tips or reassurance would be greatly appreciated!

  4. Oh you just spoke my mind!
I came back to Uni last week, starting in my 3rd year. And honestly, it doesn't feel like you've had 4 months off. I was so worried about seeing everyone again and all talk of dissertations, but it's not as scary as it seems! Well not yet it's not haha, I hope you enjoy 3rd year!

  5. Ahhh I'm going to uni next year (currently on a gap year) and I'm nervous already... I've literally been with the same group of friends since I was about ten and I'm really worried about the shakeup! My best friend is currently on her freshers week and I keep seeing all her snapchat stories and it's making me really sad haha xx

    1. I know 100% how you feel. I went to the same school for 12 years and all of my friends went to university around the world. I guarantee you though it will feel like you've never left eachother's sides once you see eachother again in the holidays! For now enjoy your gap year and try new experiences and when it comes to University, remember, everyone is in the same boat so everyone is new and everyone wants to make friends! xx

Btw, love your name a lot! I know, so trivial to say that but you do have a name that ranks in my top 5 :) Such a random thing to say lol.

  14. Best of luck in your final year. It will all be fine. I usually find myself panicking about things and they end up being fine in the in the end! It's the start of a new year, time to make a lovely fresh start and begin how you mean to go on. <3 What are you studying?

    1. Exactly! I think I did over panic, now sat in my dorm room and it's a lot more fun than I remember! I study Media at the moment but am looking to work in public relations in the entertainment industry! I see you've just started at uni? What course are you taking? xx

  15. Good luck with third year! My tip would be to try and gather all of your research or data or whatever you need for your dissertation early so you can start writing it as soon as possible, rather than stressing about it later! I can't believe your freshers tickets sold out in half an hour, that's crazy! I don't even think you need tickets for a lot of the events at my old uni, even though they were available to buy. I saw Example last year, he was so good!

    1. Thank you for the tip! I'm already trying to find some books on amazon that can potentially help! I know I can't believe it, it's usually because our nightclub obviously isn't big enough to accommodate the thousands of party loving students! xx
