Chocolate Easter Wreath

I know that Easter Sunday is pretty much already over (as in yes it's over Caroline. It is infact Monday today) - I still think I can get away with one Easter baking treat post. Regardless of the fact Moday isn't my usual posting day, I was far too excited to share what I had made yesterday and situationally it made sense to post today rather than tomorrow. Hey ho, the blogging life I lead. Also why do holidays mess up everything?! Don't worry I will be back posting on Thursday as per! This is such an easy recipe if you're having friends over today or doing another Easter event using the average "baking" Easter goodies. I give you, the Chocolate Easter Wreath. It's recipes like this that made me change my post labels from "Good Eating" to "Happy Eating". Also I was so fricking proud of how aesthetically pleasing this blog post is.

Ingredients

275g Milk Chocolate
100g Butter
75g Golden Syrup
200g Plain Digestives
75g Mini Marshmallows
90g Mini Eggs (yurrmmm)

Method

1. Melt the milk chocolate, butter, golden syrup, mini marshmallows all together in a bowl over a pan of hot water. Once this has melted (but not fully melted), add in crushed digestives. (I would suggest making the pieces not too small as it allows them to be more easily moulded.)

2. Leave this to cool on the side for 5 minutes

3. Whilst the mixture is cooling, line a baking tray with baking paper

4. Mould the mixture (with clean hands of course) into a wreath shape.

5. Decorate with mini Eggs & White chocolate drizzle (I just popped mine in the microwave for a minute or so)

6. Chill before serving but take out 10 minutes before actually cutting into it.

7. Devour entire wreath in 10 minutes from excitement. Or share with friends, that's okay too!

What were some of your favourite Easter treats this weekend?
