Another month already gone! Can you believe it? I don't know about you but I'm terrified at how quickly everything is flying by and that these makeup favourites posts come round far too quickly. I practically woke up in a frantic to take photos for this post when the lighting was adequate. The struggle is real.
January was the month I kind of went a tad cray with my bank account, oopsie, tried some new things and even brought out and carried on loving some old bits and bobs. I am now on a heavy spending ban!
I picked up this gorgeous palette at the end of January and it's already becoming a staple. I picked up the palette for £15.50 on BeautyBay which I think is such a good deal. The palette is so pigmented and the quality of the eyeshadows are second to none. I've been loving the Pure Ganache (as you can tell from the pan, bottom left) and a mixture between substitute for love and freshly toasted makes a gorgeous sunset/moroccan eye-look. I need to start playing around with Warm Notes as well which is this gorgeous cranberry shade - divine! I wrote an entire review blog post on the gorgeous palette here if you're interested in a more in-depth review!
MAC Cremesheen Lipstick - Fanfare.
I've also been going back to an old favourite recently which has been my MAC Cremesheen lipstick in Fanfare. It's gorgeous light pink which is neither too pale which makes me look sickly or too barbie hot pink. I've been wearing quit basic outfits recently, opting for my t-shirt styled basic looks and this lipstick just adds that little bit of pop of colour. I tend to go for quite a neutral eye look when it comes to pink lipsticks using my Walking On Eggshells palette which appeared in my January favourites!
Vichy Dermablend Foundation *
I was sent this foundation by the lovely PR Team and have already written a full review on the product here. I've been loving this much heavier coverage for nights out or big events as it really gives me that flawless look. My skin, although very dehydrated doesn't flake or look cakey at all with this foundation which is really tough to find with heavier foundations. The shade Opal is a perfect match to my Nars Sheer Glow Mont Blanc so I didn't have to fuss about with any of the shade matching finding malarky!
Every now and again I try out new concealers but the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer is one I will always go back to. Affordable, great coverage and brightening, this concealer really does tick a lot of the boxes for me. Although it does crease (but hey, name one concealer which actually doesn't?), if you set it properly it looks so natural with no overly yellow/pink tones in it which I find being a massive issue with concealer.
Bourjois Colorband 2-in-1 Eyeshadow & Liner
This product is something I've never really mentioned ever but have actually owned for quite a while. Actually that's a lie, I mentioned it in a Makeup Haul: Feel Unique & Boots post last June (SO LONG AGO! Bless.). I have mine in the shade 04 Rose Fauviste a stunning pink rose-gold. This eye crayon is honestly stunning and have been wearing it as a full eyeshadow base whenever I'm going for a basic rose-gold look. I can't confirm whether it does last 24 hours or whether it's waterproof as I've never been in conditions for either of those but the lasting power is impressive and if looking for an alternative to the KIKO Long Lasting Eyeshadow Sticks which are that little bit more expensive, this could be for you. They aren't as glittery as the Kiko ones but give more of a shiny/sheen but blend so well and easily into other eyeshadows! The one thing that is a shame are the lack of shades that are on offer but totally been loving this one!
Ooo I love Mac lipstick! I've never seen Fanfare! I'll definitely check it out as my daily shade! =)

I think a lot of people are hesitant about it because it's quite a thick coverage but even for my dry skin it doesn't cake or go patchy! xx

DeleteI've just placed a MASSIVE Makeup Revolution order so I ought to be on a spending ban but I'm ogling over the Zoeva cocoa blend palette so fricking bad... I have the Bourjois 2-in-1 eyeshadow and liner in the purple shade sitting at the back of my makeup collection somewhere, however, you've inspired me to fish it out and use it!

I LOVE makeup revolution, there are so many more products I need to try from it! I know what you mean, some products can fall unloved after a while which is why I'm trying hard to go through my old products! xx
DeleteI genuinely cannot go anywhere with the lasting perfection concealer, it honestly is one of the best drugstore concealers out there, it just does the job so well! And I have been meaning to buy the Vichy Derma Blend, why do I have a feeling after reading your review, I might just have too haha ♥

Yes to the Zoeva palette! I haven't picked it up all month tbh, but I just know it's so good and I've probably just been using too many other ones, but I must try to use it more often!
