Spring Lips

Yup, we're getting all up in the Spring beauty essentials here on Iridescent Places. Lip products are definitely my weakness, I am a firm believer that one can never have too many. Autumn and Winter called for my much beloved Rimmel Kate Moss 107, Mac Russian Red and Clinique  Creamy Nude. However, now that we're stepping into Spring, I'm here to tell you a few of my lip products I will for sure be donning for my transition into the warmer months! Prepare for some corals, bright fuchsias and of course some baby pinks. Squeal!

Left to Right: L'Oreal Eva's Nude, Mac Fanfare, Rimmel Kate Moss 38, Mac Style Approved, Rimmel Kate Moss 35

This is a product I don't think I've mentioned since...well I picked it up in August and hauled it here! One of my many bright lipsticks is the gorgeous bright orange lipstick. I love the formula of this lipstick as it is quite creamy but at the same time beautifully pigmented. Although the packaging isn't my favourite of Mac's, it's a shade I wear only when feeling super daring. Super daring. You have to make sure you have given your lips a little TLC as it does otherwise show cracks etc, but with a tan and my favourite all-white lace dress, it adds such a gorgeous pop of colour!

My readers will know that this is by far one of my favourite Mac lipsticks. A gorgeous pink toned lipstick which is both a little too pink to be a nude, but with a few undertones of brown to be a pink. Does that make sense? Meh. I adore how it has such a great lasting power, pigmentation and is so moisturizing as well. It's one of my lipsticks that is disappearing very quickly seeing as I've only had it since August...but one that I would of course repurchase.

A very recent purchase of mine which I have been adoring. An opaque peach undertoned nude which makes for the perfect Spring-time look. As you can tell from the swatch, the pigmentation is still there but as it is a little more opaque it has a bit more of a sheen to it! If you're looking for a more wearable nude which does bring a little colour to your lips. The packaging is totally divine, kudos to L'Oreal. I've only heard such great things about this range and want to delve into their lipsticks more.

This shade is what you would call the perfect salmon pink. Although probably not the most attractive shade name, it's a bit more of a brighter version of Fanfare. Like all Kate Moss lipsticks more great pigmentation and one that I think could really suit a lot of skin tones without washing someone out!

The last of my Rimmel Kate Moss lipsticks. Although guaranteed not a colour I wear very often (I reckon I've only worn it ...three times max?), it's a perfect pink/purple balance shade for anyone a little more daring in the Spring time!

So there we have it, a collection of both some drugstore and higher-endish lipsticks. After swatching these beauties I cannot wait to bring them out and wear them! What are some of your favourite spring lips? Let me know in the comments below!

  11. Fanfare looks so wonderful! No idea how I've never seen it before! :O I also love Rimmel's 38, I have to be slightly tanned to wear it with enough eye make up though, otherwise I resemble a clown haha!
