My Drugstore Makeup Look

I would definitely say I own more drugstore makeup than high-end at this point. I'm a massive fan of finding a cheap alternative for anything especially as a student. I wanted to do another one of my 'Makeup Looks' posts featuring only drugstore products on the face. This is quite an 'easy' 'natural-ish' look for me, aka although I may have gone a little ott on the eyeliner I always do I opted for a nude lip, light-weight base and a naked eyeshadow.

A recent favourite of mine is this foundation. This is actually the first ever drugstore foundation that I love scary right. As someone with dry skin I find drugstore foundations so hard to find and ones that don't cling onto dry patches and also don't look cakey over my freckles I am deciding to embrace them more this Spring. At £10.99 it makes a great drugstore alternative to my usual Nars Sheer Glow base but a lot more budget friendly.

Of course this powder had to appear in this drugstore post. A favourite amongst a lot of beauty bloggers and vloggers is this budget friendly powder. It makes my foundation stay on a lot longer and providing just that tiny bit more fine coverage without appearing too cakey. At £3.99 how could you say no?

One of my favourite drugstore brands is MUR. Their products are great quality and at such a great price (this bronzer being only £3) I am always drawn to their counters. This bronzer is the perfect matte bronzer if you aren't a fan of the Bourjois Chocolate Bronzer with neither having too brown or orange undertones or making your skin that awful muddy look. It just provides a natural tanned look.

Makeup Revolution Highlighter - Golden Lights

Appearing in my "My Favourite Highlighters Post"  is another MUR product. So affordable and the pigmentation is incredible. I would definitely suggest a light hand as I would normally only use this on a night-out, but during the day, if you ensure only picking up a little product, it dusts across a lovely glow!

L'Oreal Collection Exclusive Eva's Nude

Another gorgeous product which has slowly been making it's way into my favourites is this lipstick. I featured this lipstick in my 'Spring Lips' post oohing and aahing over the gorgeousness of this product. It's so moisturizing and gives a lovely sheer peachy nude. The packaging is beautiful such an important aspect and at £6.99 I would highly recommend this line of lipsticks!

Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner

I purchased my first of these in January this year and this is my third one I believe? I'm totally obsessed. I am usually completely useless with eyeliner and used to wear a crayon-ish type one which gave me immediate pander eyes was not cute. Once I purchased this, I started to realise how nice properly pigmented and easily applicated eyeliner was. With the felt tip pen you can easily make the line as thick or thin as you like I tend to like a lot of eyeliner . This product sells for £5.99!

Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama

Now confession, I usually am an advocate of higher end mascaras including Too Faced Better Than Sex and Benefit's Roller Lash. However, when I started to realise I needed to be a bit more careful with my savings oops I opted for a drugstore mascara. There are a lot of people who hate this mascara but personally, I am one of those ones who actually likes it. Now don't get me wrong, I don't LOVE it, but it dries quickly and gives a lot of volume. I have quite naturally curly lashes-ish sort of, so I tend to go for more volumizing mascaras. If you aren't a fan of 'clumpy' lashes but more of a separated-kinda girl, I wouldn't recommend this but I love myself the #AllTheMascara look!

Wet 'n Wild Eyebrow Kit

My eyebrows have kind of gone all over the place in the past month. I had a really bad threading session in which my left eyebrow was a bit massacred and am therefore waiting for them to grow out a bit so I can get a bit more of an arch, why are they so fricking straight? I picked up this eyebrow kit an age ago and have started to really love it, and for £2.57 it's a real steal! The darker shade is completely useless along with the wax so I pretty much only use the lighter brown shade. Although Wet 'n Wild isn't available in the UK, if you're looking for another drugstore eyebrow product, the Soap & Glory Archery Pen is a little pricier but a good'n too!

So there we have it! My drugstore makeup look! I hope you all enjoyed it and would love to know what some of your staple drugstore products are!

  2. I've always wanted to try Makeup Revolution but never pulled the trigger! I love drugstore mascaras - I figure you've got to throw them out after a few months anyway (well, you're meant to) so there's no point spending big $$.
