Two Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette Looks

I purchased my beloved Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette in February and although I used it a load in first month, it slowly made its way to the bottom of my makeup bag. I did a review on the palette here (subtle plug-in Caroline) and raved on about how beautifully pigmented and buttery the shades were. However, as I'm trying to use up more and more of my products, the other day I was having a little makeup play-around and came up with two warm-eyeshadow looks with the palette.

Although I'm sure a lot easier to replicate if this was a YouTube video, I am still refusing to make a channel, therefore my words must do! Also I am by no means stating I am a profession eyeshadow person. Trust me, my technique is so sub-par.

Also let's not comment on the state of my brows. I'm currently letting them grow out....get some tweezers on those gurl.

Golden Sunset Inspired Look

This is probably the look I tend to go for mostly when it comes to this palette. It's a very warm-based golden toned look with a pop of colour.

Firstly, I start by priming my eyes. I have been loving my Benecos Eyeshadow Primer, as it's extremely sticky and these eyeshadows tend to hold better with it on.

I begin by covering my entire lid with Substitute for Love, a gorgeous matte-light tanned toffee shade. Using my Zoeva Volume 2 Rose Gold 228 Luxe Crease, I make sure to blend out the shade around the lid for full coverage. I then move to applying the most stunning shade of all, Pure Ganache to the inner corner of my eyelid. This acts as a beautiful highlighting shade in the middle of my eye for a brighter shade. Freshly Toasted, a light burnt mahogany tone acts as the perfect crease colour, to add a bit more depth to the lid.

Using the Zoeva 322 Brow Line Brush (not using brushes for their real purposes), I apply Warm Notes, a dark (very pigmented) cranberry shade, right under my water line for a pop of colour to emphasize the gold. I finished this look with a winged eyeliner with the Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner  (I attempted more like) and full volume lashes with the Maybelline Push Up Drama Mascara.

Cranberry Blend Inspired Look

Warm notes is a shade that definitely intimidated me from the beginning. It's a shade totally out of my comfort zone but I refused to not use it, considering how beautiful it is!

I begin with the same primer base, and start with lightly applying Warm Notes to the entire lid, but not the inner corner. I then apply Sweeter End to the inner corner, a gorgeous champagne colour, which did turn a little more orangey when accidentally blended with Warm Notes, so perhaps a bit more care needed (oops). Very delicately (as the name suggests) I applied Delicate Acidity, a purple eyeshadow with a grey-undertone to the crease.

I skipped the eyeliner with this look and just opted for my Maybelline Push Up Drama Mascara again.

So there we have it! Two looks with the Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette! I hope you enjoyed this post and apologies if my eyeshadow blending and winged-eyeliner is very sub-par but hope it mixed up the makeup look posts a little! Let me know if you own the Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette and what your favourite looks are!
