Look Incredible May Beauty Box

After last moth's Look Incredible post, I was a little apprehensive to receive this months, especially after the "discontinued products" debacle. This months box was yet again, full of great products and a variety of brands.

bareMinerals Ready Blush in The French Kiss - £22 (Full Sized Product)

Not that I need anymore blushes, as we could see from my Blushers Perfect for 'Late Spring' blog post but I am always happy to add another to my collection. This is a very bright hot pink blush, which could potentially be a bit too bright on my pale skin, but is so creamy, blendable and would look gorgeous with a tan! I do wish I had received the lighter shade of the blush in my box but if I pass this along to my Mum, as her skin tone is darker than mine, she will be able to pull it off more here that Mum! Goodies coming your way soon. I love the packaging of bareMinerals products, as this comes with a nice sized mirror and a brush, although the brush may be perhaps a little bit too small for applying blush.

Korres Anti-Ageing Eye Primer  - £15 (Full Sized Product)

I was very happy to see an eye primer product in this months box as my Benecos one is running out. I'd never heard of Korres as a brand before but weirdly enough for my birthday this year, my cousin picked up a Korres soap for me so I was more than surprised to see a Korres product in my box! This eye primer apparantly "provides a 360-degree smooth canvas around the delicate eye area, ensuring crease-proof, long-lasting eye shadow and concealer wear." I love this eye primer as it's very soft and has a 'natural' shade which covers up any veins/dark circles under and on the eyes. Quite an expensive primer at £15 (I consider most things above the £7 mark expensive haha) but I do think it gives such a nice soft look to your eyes. Although not as sticky as my other Benecos eye primer, it's still has attributes in it which means my eyeshadow does still last longer.

Bellapierre Kabuki Brush - £22.50 (Full Sized Products)

Oh my goodness is this brand a big throwback for me! A couple of years ago my Aunt had purchased a Bellapierre powder foundation for my mum and I from the States and it came with this brush. I totally don't know what happened to my original brush, but am so happy that we have received a brush in this box! The bristles are stunning, so soft and pick up the product so well. This is definitely one of my favourite things that I have seen in my Beauty Box and hope that in the future we can see a couple more makeup brushes!

Claire's Nail Polish - £3 each (Full Sized Products)

Oh what an interesting throwback on this product. This pack came with three polishes; Claire's Gold Glitter, Claire's Rainbow Sparkles  and Claire's Silver . Uhm, I don't really know what my thoughts are on this product to be honest haha. I feel as if I will get a lot of wear out of these nail polishes, mainly because I tend to leave my glitter to the Christmas time. Considering I've got quite a few polishes going around in my collection I think I may pass these along. I cannot comment on the formula and whether or not they chip easily as I don't want to open them - sorry for the crummy review on this product hah!

Mac Patent Polish Lip Pencil in Spontaneous - £17.50 (Full Sized Product)

This is the first time Mac has made an appearance into our beauty boxes which is a nice surprise! This is in the shade I feel as if we receive a lot of "lip pencils" type products, having seen two in my beauty boxes from Nars and Urban Decay. This formula is a little stickier than the other lip pencils I've tried, but I love that this gives a nice effortless colour to your lips if you aren't much of a lipstick or gloss kind of person.

Total Cost: £18.99 per month
Number of Products: 5 Full Sized Products
Total Value of Products: £86

So the question I'm sure a few of you are wanting to ask. Caroline what about the discontinued products issue that we saw in last month's beauty box? Well I'm happy to say that there were no discontinued products in this months box, which is such a relief as last month's issue with two made me feel as if I wanted to cancel my subscription service. For now however I will be continuing to receive these boxes in hope to be surprised month upon month! Let me know if there are any beauty boxes I should consider looking into.

    1. It's great value for money, but you have to be prepared to not always like some of the products and doubling up on a few mascaras and lip pencils after a few boxes xx
