Think Beauty Pink!

Firstly, I wanted to start this blog post by stating that I'm a impartial to a little pink. I have to admit, although I tend to like quite a neutral makeup look, sticking with browns and beige, I love me some bright pink lippy and shadow. Secondly, I hope everyone appreciates the aesthetics of this blog post as I underwent some intense watering eyes and stuffy noses through hayfever trying to pick and lay out the flowers.

For me I don't think pinks get used enough in beauty makeup looks at all. I don't know if that has something to do with people not really liking it, or when having to describe their look they can't exactly call it "pink eye". Bants. Even so, I do have quite a few pink-rose-gold eye, lip and face products and thought I'd share with you. Firstly, is the Nars Single Eyeshadow 'Grenadine'  which is a beautiful matte dark burned pink-red eyeshadow. This is definitely a crease colour, effortlessly blends and really compliments any pink-eyeshadow look. Secondly is a cream product, the ever so famous, Maybelline Colour Tattoo 'Rose Gold'. Everyone and their mum owns one of these I feel like, and you can tell why. These are amazing eyeshadow pots with a creamy light-shimmer pink shade inside. I love using these either all over the lid for an everyday easy look, or they make an amazing base. Secondly is one of my all time favourite products by KIKO Milano and it is the KIKO Long Lasting Eyeshadow Stick '21'. Another product which is great as a base - it is a little bit more gold and yellow toned of a pink than the Maybelline product, so works if you're trying a light-gold look or a light pink and works best in the inner corner of the eyelid.

It wouldn't be a think pink blog post without the mention of the Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette. I do think that the left side of the palette, which is heavily pink-shimmer and matte shade based kind of puts people off this palette. In fairness, I tend to only use the left side of the palette once we hit Spring and Summer time, whereas the right side I do use quite a bit for my night-out makeup looks. You can't exactly fault the Urban Decay eyeshadow, very creamy and I love that there is a mixture between crease, base, transition and all-over-the-lid matte and shimmer shades!

Okay now face products. Firstly, I'm going to start with the Milani Illuminating Face Powder '03 Beauty's Touch' a gorgeous all-over-the-face/highlighter/bronzer/blush combo product. Seriously, this product does everything. Although a lot of people tend to use this as a light blush, I personally love using it all-over-the-face to give myself a little bit more dimension and colour after my foundation. Rather than being shimmer or completely matte, it has a gorgeous sheen texture to it, which does really bring a little bit more life into your complexion! If you're someone with quite fair skin who feels as if they're skin can little a dull post-foundation (I know the feeling) this can seriously help!

Secondly has to be my gorgeous Clinique Cheek Pop '02 Peach Pop' Although the name suggests that it is a peachy blush, it definitely has a lot more pink undertones than orange. I reckon I have raved on about this blush so much in previous blog posts that I don't need to repeat how creamy and pigmented this blush is. If you don't mind spending a little bit more on a small but effective pan of a blush, I would have a serious swatch at your local Clinique counter. This has lasted well over a year and trust me, I've given it so much love and it's still standing!

Next we are onto pinks on the lips. It was really hard to bring this down to only three products as trust me, I have a lot of pink lip products. So I thought I would do a variation of lipgloss, lipstick and lip liners. I was never really interested in trying out the hype of YouTuber products. Personally I didn't really think they could be that great (I know I know shame on me) and they didn't really appeal to me. I ordered a Feel Unique order a couple of months ago and in order to get free delivery I needed to purchase something small and decided on picking up the Tanya Burr Cosmetics Lip Gloss 'I found Nemo'  a bright peach-pink lipgloss. I actually quite like this, which I was pretty shocked by. I usually hate lipglosses, and although this isn't completely "non-sticky" it isn't at all as tacky as most lipglosses. I find the wear lasts around 3-4 hours which is to be expected with a lipgloss but I quite like this as a Spring/Summer lipgloss, although warning, it's quite a bright shade!

Next is the newest addition to my Mac lipstick collection which is Mac's 'Speak Louder' which is a cremesheen finish. I tend to always go for cremesheen finishes with pinks as I find they just suit my skin tone better. I wanted a bright pink lipstick to bold-up some plain outfits and I am obsessed. This is quite a blue-toned pink but stunning in my opinion.

Last of the pinks is my go-to pink lip liner - the KIKO Rebel Romantic Lipliner '01'. This is quite a dark rose pink lip liner which can either be used as a lipliner but I have also used this on it's own for a totally matte lip. Now I hate to be that person, but unfortunately as this was part of a limited edition range at KIKO I can't find it anywhere online, although I do know that a lot of stores do stock the Rebel Romantic range still (Guildford including). Regardless, KIKO has some incredibly creamy lipliners anyway, some which I think challenge Mac, price friendly and not only keep your lipstick from bleeding but lasting longer!

So there we have it! A few of my Think Beauty Pink products! I hope you enjoyed this blog post as much as I did getting runny eyes and a stuffy nose from taking the photos haha! Let me know what some of your favourite pink-based products are in the comments below!

    1. I personally don't wear them as an eyeshadow, but instead of more of an eyeshadow base! They are long lasting, but I wouldn't say they would last 24 hours, you'd need to prime and set an eyeshadow on top xx

  7. I've always wanted to give the Tanya Burr lip glosses but because I'm not a lip gloss girl, I've never wanted to take the risk. I think its just the consistency I don't like, however they aren't too pricey so maybe I might just have to go for it. And girl, that flatlay is beyond beautiful, I just can't ♥

    1. I don't particularly like lipgloss either, but they aren't AS sticky, I mean they still are but not as much as others! They are quite pigmented xx

  8. I have a pink Maybelline Color Tattoo but in shade Inked in Pink and I have completely forgotten about it. So far I only like pink lipsticks and blushers but I hate wearing pink clothes. Love the shade Speak Louder, I think this is the first time I'm reading about it.
