My Favourite: Under £10 Drugstore Beauty Products

Okay who doesn't love a drugstore find? In my makeup collection, hand on heart, I definitely have more drugstore products than high end. Mainly because I'm a student, secondly because I was a stingy student. I've put together a post full of my favourite under £10 drugstore products featuring an array of different products.

This product is definitely a real steal. For £8 you get a gorgeous mixture of matte and shimmer shades, varying from your neutral brown/nudes to dark reds. As you'll see off the bat, this is a very warm toned palette, which is ideal for me. I'm not a fan of purple/blue shades at all as I can't work as well with them and they just seem to look daft on me. The pigmentation in this palette is incredible. I've swatched a couple of higher end eyeshadows for example from Clinique etc and this definitely trumps them. I would say if you're someone who is on a budget, and looking to delve further into makeup, MUR is an incredible brand and their palettes are highly recommended.

I own quite a fair few of the shades from this collection, but 'Rose Quartz' would have to be by far my favourite. Although the shades are a little bit more on the "bright side" and would prefer they came out with more neutrals, the formulation is stunning! I think some Boots may have more shades from the collection, but mine were quite solely bright blues and pinks...Anywhooo - Very pigmented, creamy and blendable. I would give this shade a serious swatch next time you're in store, it's a stunning rose gold, iridescent/champagne shimmer shade.

I seriously cannot delve into this product as I'm sure my regular readers will start getting really annoyed with me as I practically bring it up in every post. But for a good reason! Wet 'n Wild isn't available in UK drugstores technically, but it is in Switzerland, and you can get it on Amazon for drugstore prices. Therefore including it. Rebel. I talk very highly about wet 'n wild as a drugstore brand and did a brand in the spotlight post here but basically this little trio is my go-to bright and light makeup palette. Creamy, blendable and a real bargain!

Of course it would be an incomplete drugstore post without my favourite blush of all time. Yup that's right. Of all time. Luminoso is probably, in my opinion, one of the most sought after blushers by Milani. The consistency is to die for, so gorgeously creamy and highly pigmented. It's a stunning shade for Spring/Summer time and if you aren't a fan of too much blush, but are looking for something to give you a healthy subtle shading, this is for you! I definitely want to get my hands on more of their blushers, perhaps for Autumn time as I love the packaging too!

I've been very hesitant to talk so highly about drugstore foundations mainly because I don't usually find "the one." Unfortunately my Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation, which is one of my favourite drugstore products, is just 99p over the mark for this post. In hindsight, it's fine as I know not a lot of people are a fan of light coverage foundations. That's why I bring you, my favourite medium coverage foundation in the drugstore. I picked this foundation up around three weeks ago, not expecting to be impressed, but my goodness I love it! For those people with dry skin, this is an incredible medium coverage foundation, which doesn't go patchy or cling onto dry patches. Although it may not have the longest staying power, I can wear it all day during work, only having to re-powder once, and it looks seriously great! I apply it using my Real Techniques Complexion Sponge and it works a dream! Although the shade range does need to be expanded (but hey don't a lot of the drugstore ones), this is a massive thumbs up for me!

I've read quite a few of these under £10 drugstore picks posts and I have to say, I reckon each one includes this mascara. But there's a reason! This gives me such length, such volume and great curl. I'm usually one for wearing eyeliner most days, but if I don't, this is the only mascara that works with the no-eyeliner-look, and doesn't make me look totally weird. I do need to pick up a new one of these, as it has started to dry up, but I reckon it's been like 3 months of using it every day so I definitely cannot complain!

Like I said I wear eyeliner pretty much everyday and I don't really switch it up. Since I picked up my first tube of this right after Christmas, it is the only eyeliner I've been purchasing since. The pigmentation is great, I can apply it so easily, and trust me, I do not have a steady hand. It lasts all day and more importantly, on me, it does not run. And I have hayfever. Literally the only way this comes off is with a makeup remover wipe!

Another drugstore cult favourite, which definitely fits in the under £10 category is this amazing full-coverage concealer. This is loved by many-a Youtubers, Vloggers and Bloggers (including myself). I always pick this up in the lightest shade "fair" as it is a great brightener and conceals spots like no other. Luckily this is quite a new tube, because otherwise, and I'm sure many bloggers can agree, the one gripe I have is that the name of the concealer on the tube rubs off all the time so it's hard to take photos of it!

As you can tell this little duo has had a lot of love. It was tough to decide whether or not to include this or the Sleek Highlighting Kit in this post, but as I am still testing that out, I went with the product I know is amazing. This highlighter - contour duo is perfect for those who are looking to learn the whole contouring trend. Now, I have to blame the lighting and the photography on this one, the contour shade is definitely NOT that orange. As you can tell from the swatches, it is a lot more warm toned in the pan, less orange! It is highly pigmented and although can seem scary, you can blend it out so easily. The highlighter is just as stunning, a very warm gold-toned highlighter. I know that a lot of white/champagne highlighters are a little bit scary looking for those just starting out in beauty/makeup, so I would definitely recommend starting off highlighting with much more of a warm toned highlighter! As you can tell in the swatch, like it's sister product, it's just as pigmented but contains more of a sheen look to it rather than a glitter/disco ball effect!

Of course these two had to be involved in this post. The maybelline colour tattoos are another cult beauty favourite. These beautiful pots of cream eyeshadows are highly pigmented and perfect for those who are just starting out in eyeshadow and don't want to pile on the shimmer too heavily. What's great about these is the fact that they are easily blendable and to be honest, if you don't have a set of eyeshadow brushes, you can just use your fingers. I own the shades 'Rose Gold' and 'On and On Bronze', two of the probably most famous shades I would say from the collection, as you can see from the swatches, beautiful!!

  7. The mascara looks exactly like the Benefit Roller Lash one, I think I've actually heard a few people compare them as well.

I'm happy to buy pretty much anything from drugstore because I really do think drugstore stuff can be justttt as good. One thing I'll never compromise on, though, is lipstick! The only lipstick that ever lasts on my lips is expensive stuff!

  9. Completely agree with all of these, I don't own anything from Seventeen and I am thinking I should rectify this immediately. I would love a brand spotlight on them so I can just go into Boots and pick up everything you recommend haha, Rose Quartz is stunning. I am thinking there might be a similar shade in my Naked 3 so I will have to investigate online. Fantastic post, love the Rimmel foundation too, wearing it right now! Xx
