My Favourites: July

Oh please. as if it's like basically August. You know there are like only 21 weeks until Christmas. Thinking of all the red lips, good food, hot chocolate, cosy nights in....okay Caroline stop. You haven't even been on a summer holiday. Calm down.

Anyways, another month has inevitably gone by, and I'm excited to share with you some of my favourites. I have to admit, since starting work, I haven't really been playing around with makeup as often as I would like to, but have kind of been playing it safe, using the same products again and again on my face bu there are some which of course have been noticably used all of July.

One of my all time favourite eyeshadow palettes I own would have to be the Too Faced Natural Eye Neutral Eyeshadow Palette.  As you can tell this has had a lot of love, I picked this up as a treat-yo-self moment on my trip to the States last year and I'm so glad I did. I'm one who really only goes for neutral/warm/brown toned eyeshadows and this ticks the boxes on so many levels. The pigmentation is actually stunning, The palette comes with 5 shimmer eyeshadows; Honey Pot (a warm gold), Chocolate Martini (a dark chocolate shade with golden shimmer), Silk Teddy (a light rose pink), Erotica (a slightly darker ashy shade of brown to Chocolate martini) and Push Up (a taupe brown). It also comes with 4 matte shades Nude (a light taupe brown), cashmere bunny (only a fraction of the shade darker than Nude), Heaven (a yellow toned highlighter) and Sexpresso (a dark rich brown). My favourite of the shades would be 'Push Up' and 'Honey Pot' however recently I've been using Nude as an all over the lid shade, then mixing 'Sexpresso' and 'Cashmere Bunny' for a crease shade. This is the perfect compact eyeshadow and we all know how stunning Too Faced eyshadows are! They don't crease and pack a load of pigmentation and are so worth the price!

Top to Bottom: ' Honey Pot', 'Push Up', 'Velvet Teddy'
Next on my favourites would have to be the Lush Oatifix Face Mask*. After an unfortunate run in with a Brazened Honey lush mask which I spoke about here being recommended to me, the lovely people at Lush sent me a fresh mask that they said would definitely suit my skin type more. Now although this product is hard to initially put on, I have to say it has worked so much better than the Brazened Honey one. It's very moisturising and soothing on the skin. Although I'm not quite a fan of the scent (smells too much like slushy cold porridge) I can look past it!

The Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer has appeared numerous times on my blog recently and for good reason. This has suddenly replaced the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer completely. I tend to use the Collection one for covering up any blemishes/spots etc, but as I don't really have any of those at the moment, it's become my go-to under-eye concealer. It's so ridiculously brightening and as it's not as heavy coverage, it's a lot more moisturising and easier to blend as well - for dry skin girls, I really recommend this!

A favourite of the months lips wise has been quite a natural go-to lip product. I've been of course loving my Mac Velvet Teddy but on the days where I don't feel like wearing a matte lip, I've been wearing the Urban Decay Super Saturated Lip Colour 'Naked'. Now I'm pretty sure this is annoyingly discontinued as on the UK website they no longer exist, and they are on sale on the US website, but this shade is seriously gorgeous. It's a lovely sheen crayon lipstick which works so well for an everyday lip and just fits in your handbag so perfectly. If you can find one of these in your Urban Decay store in the sale, definitely give 'Naked' a swatch!

Lastly, is the Sleek 'Solstice' Highlighting Palette. My goodness am I glad I picked this up. I did a full review on the palette here - and I knew that once I had picked it up that this product would make it's way into a favourite blog post already. This stunning palette has become my new go-to palette for days where I literally want to glow glow glow. The other night I attended an event and wore this, and you could see my highlight so immensely in the photobooth photos it was insane! I've also been loving using this as an eyeshadow palette, wearing the shade 'Ecliptic' all over my lid for a champagne-rose-gold look.

And there are my July favourites! I do need to start picking up some new makeup bits as I've been trying to be concious of money since starting my new job, and I also want to ensure that there is always new products on Iridescent Places! Let me know what more brands you would love to see on here coming up in the month of August and let me know what you've been loving in July!

I have that Too Faced palette as well but I haven't worn it in a while, it's definitely time for me to whip it out though.
