My Favourites: September

I know I say this like every month, but seriously, can you believe it's October? This month has been so scarily busy. I've just moved to London, had a couple of work events which were seriously stressful and I've had a lot more blogging upkeep I've had to do.

Saying that of course I had time to find a couple of beauty favourites. Firstly is the gorgeous Benefit Cheekathon Palette. I picked it up in August and did an unboxing review here and I can honestly say this is a purchase I've been so happy I made. Although I really shouldn't have. Did you know how expensive moving places is?! Damn pots and pans are expensive. I've been loving using this on a daily basis. I've always wanted to have Hoola bronzer in my collection and now in the palette and I can honestly say it does not disappoint! As you can also see the Rockateur blush has been adored. At the moment it's my perfect transitional blush shade.

Next is the beautiful Maybelline Superstay Forever Strong Professional Nail Varnish 'Rose Poudre' which is literally the best varnish I have ever tried. Apart from the colour being such a lovely pink/violet taupe shade that is so easy to wear everyday. Guys I cannot express how amazing the formula is of this nail varnish. I personally don't think Essie or Barry M etc live up to the 'no chip' standards. Mine chip day 1 of wearing it however this does not chip. It tends to more 'fade' on the tips of the nail at around day 6/7. An amazing neutral varnish!

When I first purchased the Tanya Burr 'Birthday Suit' Palette I was a little disappointed. I didn't think that the shades and pigmentation really lived up to the hype, however I have to admit, weirdly this has just become a serious favourite. I am obsessed with the shade Toast, Marzipan and Soft Truffle. I seriously don't have a shade anything like them, they are so perfect for everyday wear and in fact, I kind of want to take back what I said...Although I don't think the pigmentation is as good as some palettes, it makes for a great palette regardless.

This month I've been going back to an old favourite of mine. The Mac Mineralize Skinfinish 'Soft & Gentle' is one of my all time favourite highlighters. I adore my Mary Lou but sometimes I find it a little too matte if I've got a matte base, so if I'm looking for something a bit more illuminating this is my go-to highlighter. It has a gorgeous golden champagne finish and is one of those real holy grail products. As I've been doing a lot more work/blog events recently I've had to wear my makeup throughout the day and thankfully this is a highlighter that still shows up 8 hours later in the air-conditioned office!

Lastly I've been transitioning into Autumn (without annoying too many people talking about hot drinks, cosy socks and pumpkin) by wearing this amazing Makeup Forever Artist Rouge Mat Lipstick 'M102'* This is a stunning pink/brown matte lipstick. I'm literally obsessed with this lipstick. Although I don't have a lipliner for this sort of shade, the wear is amazing. I love this colour as it suits when you're wearing a burgundy top/skirt to really match it. It's neither too red/purple or berrytoned so it truly makes it a unique shade in my collection!

Can you believe it's another monthly favourites? Here's to another month of more beauty favourites! Let me know in the comments below what you've been loving this month and what I need to try out!
