Nestlé GoFree Coco Rice Treats

Now that I've finally moved in (have I mentioned that yet?) I can finally get round to doing some more baking posts! It was my first Sunday in my new kitchen and it only felt right that I made some yummy and easy treats for the weekend. Sometimes on a Sunday I can't really be bothered to go full bake off - okay to be fair I had just moved in the other day so these sorts of recipes are great if you need to quickly make them for a children's party or bake sale the next day. You also don't need a massive list of ingredients either!

What you'll need:

- 3 tbsp slightly salted butter
- 10oz mini marshmallows
- 8 cups Nestlé GoFree Coco Rice Cereal*  or Nestlé GoFree Rice Pops*
- 2 packs chocolate chips
- Sprinkles

Method

1. Melt the butter over the hob on a low heat.

2. Mix in the marshmallows until they are melted

3. Carefully stir in the GoFree Coco Rice Pops* until they are completely covered

4. Leave to sit in the pan to cool down (this makes the marshmallow and coco pops bind)

5. Once cooled, using your hands roll into small balls

6. Place on a stick-proof baking tray in the fridge to cool

7. Whilst the rice pops are in the fridge cooling, on the hob melt the milk chocolate chips

8. Using food tongs, dip the rice pop in the melted chocolate

9. Cover the rice balls in sprinkles and place in fridge to cool again

10. Once hardened, Devour entire treats in 10 minutes from excitement. Or share with friends, that's okay too!

I absolutely love these treats as they are so quick and easy to make. Even more amazingly, for those who are gluten-free you don't need to sacrifice your favourite cereal or treats. My brother was gluten intolerant when growing up, and unfortunately a couple of years ago they didn't have these sorts of products around! My mum would have loved to have made these when he was younger! These literally taste identical to normal Coco Pops, have great nutritional value and don't cost 10x the amount like most gluten-free products do.

Did you know as well that there are so many other things you can do with Rice Pops? Like pancakes, polenta cakes and Thai toast? No me neither!  Here are some examples below!
