Maybelline Forever Strong Polish Haul

I constantly rave about one of my all time favourite nailpolishes on the blog constantly, The Maybelline Forever Strong 'Rose Poudre' all the flipping time. I've come to the decision that I'm sick and tired of applying polish that chips either the day of or day after applying it. I headed to Superdrug to pick up a couple of new shades of my all time favourite nail polish formulas perfect for this Autumn/Winter time.

Firstly I picked up a Top Gel Coat. I had an Essie one that I kept on using and got so sick of it pretty much doing nothing to keep my nail varnish on for longer. Don't get me wrong, Essie gets the packaging and shades so so right but their formula is horrific. It chips straight after I apply it and takes forever to dry. This top coat is amazing because it dries super quickly and the brush is wide so applies easily. I applied the top coat, stupidly, right before bed and with most top coats I would wake up with some sort of fabric mark outline on my nails, but not with this one!

I then picked up two red polishes. Firstly is 'Midnight Red' a beautiful deep brown red. Originally in the bottle it looked like it was more of a purple undertoned product, but when applying it, it's definitely a deep red/brown. I think this is a perfect Autumnal/Winter nail shade. It's sophisticated and looks great for a night out, plus the staying power is amazing. It has the exact same thick brush as the top coat which is great for application.

Lastly I picked up 'Deep Red' which I personally don't really see as a deep red but more like a true red. It's quite a festive red which I think would look amazing with a gold statement nail, which I definitely will be cracking out this Winter!

Let me know what your holy grail nailpolish brand and formula is! I find nail polishes the hardest to get right as there are so many choices brand, colour and formula wise!

  1. So interesting, Essie is the best nail polish for my nails. It lasts about 4 days without chipping. But I also really like Smith&Cult or H&M polishes. They both are very longlasting. I have to try the Maybelline ones. They look so pretty.

  3. Oh wow, I've not heard many rave about Maybelline polishes, nor their topcoat.

The colours you picked up look beautiful, very festive looking indeed. I'm actually in need of a top coat and think I'll check out Maybellines. I've been loyal to Seche Vite for years!

  5. I've never heard of this line before! They do sound really amazing too! That's great that they also came out with a top coat too. My favorite top coat is Seche Vite since it dries super duper fast and is really shiny. The downside is that my polish chips kinda fast with it :(
