Charlotte Tilbury 'Pillow Talk'

Who am I kidding, I give into the hype. When I saw everyone tweeting, instagramming, snapping and basically every sort of social media-ing Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution 'Pillow Talk'  I knew I had to have it in my collection. So I did. Pillow Talk originally was a Lip Cheat pencil and although I didn't own it myself (I know, shock) it seemed that everyone in the world did and therefore it only made sense that she came out with it in lipstick form.

The lipstick of course comes in the classic and beautiful Charlotte Tilbury Rose Gold packaging which is just totally swoon worthy but of course that's not the real reason why you pick up this lipstick (okay about 50% of the reason).

I'm not going to lie I think the lipstick is something very unique to my collection, and I'm not just saying that. It's usually very hard for me to find a pink lipstick that doesn't wash me out or make me look like a want-to-be Barbie. The balance between peach/pink and nude is so perfect and a shade that I think will take my through Spring and Summer. With a lot of the Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks I have to say the opaqueness isn't usually there, I had a similar 'issue' with Glastonberry. However, that is what makes these matte revolution lipsticks so ideal for people with dry skin. With two swipes you do get full opaqueness and a beautiful colour. The wear is comfortable and is such a pretty and feminine shade.

I can see this becoming a new favourite of mine leading into the warmer months for work! Let me know if you've picked the shade up and what you think of it!

  23. Haha same I really could not resist it and picked it up - fully enabled by all the gals in the blogging community. I do like the shade but as it was sort of an impulse, I don't know if it meets up to my love for Very Victoria or Bond Girl just yet. I think partially because it was LE I jumped on the wagon, but I do agree that it's a pinky shade that doesn't wash me out (or make me feel like Barbie hahah). I think it's a shade I'm just not as used to but I think it'll be perfect once Spring/Summer rolls around!
