3 Highlighting Loves

I don't know why but pretty recently I've just been obsessed with highlighting and having the 'ultimate glow'. I uploaded a post called 'The Glow' on Tuesday and it kind of just highlights (ha) how much I love glowing products recently.

There have also been three highlighters which for me have just been providing me with all the right kind of sparkle.

theBalm Mary Loumanizer - This is such a cult favourite in the blogging world and although  I did kind of abandon this for a while I have recently discovered why I loved it so much. If you're someone who hates any sort of glitter highlight, and just want pure sheen, then this highlighter is perfect. Looking at the swatches compared to the other two, this is definitely more cool-toned out of them, and a bit more of a 'pearl' colour. If I am experiencing some sort of crappy skin during the week, other more glittery highlighters tend to emphasize it, so I love using this instead as it just adds more of a subtle glow.

Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Soft & Gentle - I've actually managed to hit pan on this product since taking these photos, and I've seen so much love for this product back in the blogging world. I think this has to be my favourite highlighter. Ever. And that is a big statement. 9/10 times I will be wearing this highlighter because it's the perfect in between from what I would say Mary Lou and the Sleek Highlighting Palette (which is what I opt for when I want a massive glow). It's a gorgeous champagne shimmer and I just think this is a shade that can work on so many skintones.

Colourpop Pearlized Highlighter 'Wisp'  is one of the cream highlighters I've ever picked up and am completely in love with it. You can't describe Colourpop formulas at all because they are almost like butter. As you can tell next to the other two shades, it's on the darker side so it works best when I've got a bit of a tan going on. The pigmentation is out of this world, and more importantly, it blends like a dream. You don't have any issues with it shifting your foundation underneath at all!

    1. Oh I know what you mean, a lot of people complain about it being flimsy but I haven't had any issues with it as it's never broken so I guess it's just one you have to be a little bit delicate with! xx

  11. I find Mary LouManizer to pull quite yellow toned on my skin, so I tend to keep it for summer. I'm thinking of investing in Cindy LouManizer, as I really like the quality of Mary. Soft and Gentle is definitely one of my favourites too. Xx

    1. I agree it's not very pearl or pink so for me it tends to look best when it comes to a foundation that's very low coverage which I opt more for in the Summer! I've not heard of Cindy, will have to give that one a swatch! xx

  16. We must have similar taste in highlighters because I have and love all three of these haha. Seriously impressed with you almost hitting pan on the Mary Lou - it's unheard of! Although I might have been close if I hadn't smashed my original and had to repurchase :(

    1. I know right! I'm one of those people though, who gets a new product and wears it constantly for like 3 months and then I stop haha! That's so annoying, I heard so many people who had theirs smash as well I was so convinced and shocked mine didn't! xx
