Spring Nails

To me there's nothing more exciting about entering Spring than switching up my nailcare routine. I pretty much dedicated the winter months to my dark reds, but slowly but surely I've been opting for brighter and fresher colours.

Firstly a shade that I've been wearing non-stop is the L'Oreal Paris Color Riche A L'Huile 'Cafe De Nui'. I absolutely love the packaging of this product, it's so luxurious and more importantly, it has a wide brush which I absolutely LOVE, it makes it so much easier to get a even layer of polish on. The shade is a very beige/peach tone which I think will look absolutely killer with a tan, but I've been loving it regardless even if I am on the pastier side. I'm definitely impressed with the formula, it's much better than some of the other drugstore brands I've tried (although not AS impressive as mine Maybelline ones).

Next are two polishes that I received for my birthday from one of my friends which is the Essie in the Mood for Nude Duo Kit which contains the shades Ballet Slippers and Spin the Bottle. Spin the Bottle definitely has to be my favourite polish EVER for Spring which is a BIG statement for me. It's a semi-sheer pink nude which just looks so feminine and delicate. I love applying Ballet Slippers on top or for days that I'm just going bare as it adds a little bit of colour.

Lastly is a shade that I added to my March Monthly Favourites post which is the Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint 'Acai Smoothie' . Now I said in my monthly favourites post that sadly I'm not a fan of the formula of this polish, it does have a lovely shine but the wear isn't fantastic at all. However saying that, I am completely obsessed with this colour. It's almost a mauve lilac shade that isn't particularly 'neon bright' so still looks great for everyday wear. I absolutely love the colour, if only Barry M would sort out the formula!

  12. These shades are so pretty!

The L'Oreal nude and the Barry M Acai Smoothie shade especially.

My nails just can't seem to grow right now so I suppose nudes are all I can use right now. But I've grown a bit bored of my usual Revlon and Nails Inc nudes, so it's time to make a change.
