What I've Been Watching

annndddd I'm back. I took a much needed break off blogging this week during bank holiday weekend as I thought it would be best to just sit back and relax following a very busy time at work! Nonetheless, I'm back and excited to share a couple of new shows that I've managed to pack into my 'busy' schedule that I 100% recommend.

The Night Manager - BBC One

I know what you're thinking - seriously Caroline, how behind are you. The answer is, very behind. I've finally started the show and absolutely love it so far and truth be told, Tom Hiddleston is slowly becoming my new fave celebrity crush I also am not opposed to him being the new bond, hello *drooling over laptop* It's quite fast paced as a show, and although the non-linear element usually throws me off and confuses me, this is surprisingly easy to keep up with. The plot of the show is essentially an ex-soldier 'night manager' at a hotel sees more than he's supposed to and ends up being recruited by central intelligence.

13 Reasons Why - Netflix

I'm sure everyone has heard about this show, but I just had to include it on here. I originally went into watching this show with quite a pessimistic mind but when I finished the final episode, I was so shaken up it had honestly stuck with me. I obviously don't want to talk too much about it in case those of you haven't seen it, but I do hope this show starts getting people talk about subjects which can be deemed uncomfortable and taboo, because they are real issues that people need to be aware of.

Prison Break  - FOX

So something I probably haven't ever mentioned on my blog is that I am a absolute die hard Prison Break fan. My brother and I have seen the entire seasons 11 times. I'm not exaggerating. We're a tad obsessed. I generally think it's an incredible concept of a show. They've finally come back with a new season, when season 4 finished in 2009 and I am literally in my element. Originally I wasn't sure about a new season, as to be honest, Prison Break started to fail a little in my eyes around the season 3 mark and dragged (obviously didn't stop me at all). However I am loving this season, it's definitely got a bit of a different feel to it, and I am so interested to see where the story line goes.

Big Little Lies - Sky

Okay I know who hasn't been watching this programme?! Well me, up until a couple days ago...and yes I'm already on episode 4. Don't judge me. The story follows wives, husbands, friends and neighbours and all their dark twisted secrets in Monterey, Calif a small seaside town. So far I'm really enjoying the series although finding it extremely frustrating that the Sky Go website doesn't work on my macbook. Which is fab. I definitely recommend everyone watching this if you're a big fan of shows like Desperate Housewives and Pretty Little Liars.

  1. Thanks for your recommendations, I love finding new things to watch at the weekends. I thought 13 Reasons Why was really good and definitely opened my eyes, the last episodes were really hard to watch though.

  7. All of these are on my watch list. Except Prison Break, which was the very first TV show I became obsessed with, and I don't know if I can go there just yet.

I feel like there's been such good variety in TV over the last year, after a few dull years!
