Non-Beauty Favourites

I am always doing beauty favourites on the blog, but I thought it was about time I would branch out and have a little chat about a couple of non-beauty things I have been absolutely loving recently.

Firstly is a book, Good Me, Bad Me by Ali Land that my mum recommended I read. I read this book in a day. Guaranteed, I was on holiday and didn't really do a lot of activity but this was such a chilling page turner. The book revolves around Annie, a girl who has a complicated and troubled history whose mother is a serial killer. This was a Sunday Times Best Seller and I can see why. It's an extremely dark and twisted story, much like The Couple Next Door and Behind Closed Doors. There is nothing but suspense throughout this book as you face changing your empathy with Annie on every page.

I also don't know if you know, but House of Cards S5 is now on Netflix and I am so close to finishing it through my binge watching and it is nothing but immense. Although I'm not the brightest when it comes to American Politics and I admittingly do google a lot when watching it, it's been nothing short of juicy, gripping and exciting. I absolutely love that they upload the entire season rather than waiting like Pretty Little Liars, as I watch so many other shows as well, that it's hard to keep up with all the story lines when you have to wait for a total week what a struggle, I know.

Another show I've been obsessed with is Below Deck Mediterranean on hayu, which is a reality show that follows 9 crew members on board of a charter ship. Throughout the season they have outrageous guests and the drama that unfolds when you're confined to a small cabin - well you can imagine. I've been obsessed with Below Deck and it's spin-offs since I first started binging because it's just pure guilty-pleasure viewing.

Although technically 'beauty' related, I had to talk about a new blog that I've found. Francisca from http://www.franciscamay.com/ has by far one of the most beautiful blogs I have come across with photography that cannot be faulted at all. I don't know what camera she uses, but I swear it is a camera of dreams and I absolutely adore her content so please go give her blog a read!

Lastly on my non-beauty favourites is baking. It's not that I fell out of love with baking but since I've moved to my new flat I just haven't gotten around to baking as much as I used to - my jeans and bikini's are probably very thankful. When I wrote my Caramel Chocolate Creme Egg Brownies Recipe it unleashed my love for baking again. I'm sort of hooked on anything 'banana' flavoured mainly because I feel as if I can justify it being 'healthier' so I will for sure be uploading some future baking posts on the blog!

  7. Really want to watch Below Deck on Bravo. I always see ads for it during Million Dollar Listing New York and think it looks good! I might have to give it a try now.
