2017 Beauty Favourites

Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick - I don't think I could have even survived 2017 without this lipstick. I picked mine up in February this year and fell in love with it so quickly that it even got it's own blog post (here). This has just been such a staple nude everyday lipstick for me and not only was the colour gorgeous but I fell in love with the formula. Although this is described as a matte lipstick, it's so soft and creamy it glides so effortlessly but still has such intense pigmentation. What makes this the first product to mention in my favourites is that it has been worn all throughout January to December and have worn it so much that there's barely any product left so have even had to repurchase it!

Milani Powder Blush 'Romantic Rose'* - Although I only got this in September I have barely used another blusher since, no lie. I can't tell you how long it's been since I've found a blush that meets up to the love I have for Milani Luminoso but this is definitely on the same level. It is such a stunning dusky pink blusher which works so well throughout the year.

Physcians Formula Butter Bronzer  - Of course my beloved bronzer had to be included in this blog post too. I had my eyes on this bronzer for ages since KathleenLights raved about it being her favourite bronzer and my dad picked me one up on a trip to America and it too, was so amazing, I even dedicated an entire post to it to it here . Although the packaging isn't my favourite talk about bulky and garish the product cannot be faulted, it's so buttery which makes it so easy to blend out which is a blessing for me who can sometimes be quite lazy and end up with streaks of bronzer on my face.

KIKO Extra Sculpt Volume Mascara  - I couldn't believe that I had found a mascara to replace the love for my Maybelline Lash Sensational. Another KathleenLights recommendation, I have fallen head over heels for this mascara. I love a clumpier mascara, but I have to say this is a little bit less clumpy than the Maybelline one but still gives you all the volume but more length.

BareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream - I've been trying out a few foundations this year and although I loved my No7 Lift and Luminous foundation, the BareMinerals Complexion Rescue stood out for me. In the Summer I get insane freckles on my face and I've started to realize that I just need to embrace them rather than do that weird thing where I cover them up with foundation. Through the Summer I still wanted a little bit of coverage as I tend to get blotchier/redder skin so I picked this up and fell absolutely in love with it. It's nothing like a foundation as you don't feel as if you have anything on your face, but it just adds a thin layer of glow and light coverage.

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream - As someone who has insanely dry skin, I'm always on the look out for the next best product. I've found my perfect moisturizer but every now and again I had such dry skin on my nose, that it would literally create these horrible patches which in turn would turn red, angry and crater-ish really. really. attractive. My flatmate swears by this stuff so I decided I'd pick it up in duty free and oh my goodness. What a life saver. It really does dramatically change your skin overnight.

Let me know in the comments below if any of the above were in your 2017 favourites and if not, what was one product you absolutely loved!

  3. I'm completely with you on the Charlotte Tilbury lipstick, it's a lipstick I honestly don't think I could like without it now. The Bare Minerals is an old favourite of mine and now I've read this I definitely need to get hold of it when we get to spring. I think I need to try the Milani blusher too as I'm always looking at their products but I'm actually yet to try any! X

  9. That Bare Minerals gel cream sounds ideal. My skin has generally improved a lot and I don't always want something with coverage, just something that's going to make my skin look a little better. It sounds perfect!xx
