As a brand I love Elizabeth Arden, how simple it is, the quality and also the price of the products. I thought I would give a run down of some of my all time favourite products from Elizabeth Arden:</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><b><i><a href="https://www.boots.com/elizabeth-arden-eight-hour-cream-skin-protectant-50ml-10029058">Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant* </a></i></b></p><p style="text-align: justify;">I don't think I've mentioned a product more on my blog than this saving grace, holy grail skin protectant. I don't go anywhere without carrying this with me. I pretty much use these skin protectant for anything and everything, dry lips, dry patches on my face, burns and everything in between. This skin protectant is an oily thick texture that literally injects moisture back into the area you apply it to. I can't recommend this product enough to anyone who suffers with dry skin. </p><p style="text-align: justify;"><b><i><a href="https://www.elizabetharden.co.uk/eight-hour-cream-intensive-moisturizing-hand-treatment-1001196N440.html">Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Intensive Moisturising Hand Cream </a></i></b></p><p style="text-align: justify;">With mass hand washing and still using the hand sanitize like my life depends on it, I can't get enough of using handcream. I actually went to Boots the other day and picked up two new lip protectants (mentioned below) and the lovely person working there offered me a free full sized hand cream. I had used this hand cream loads of times before, it's quite a thick hand cream but not greasy at all. One of my favourite things is how un-perfumed the scent is, it's a very natural scent and if you're not a big fan of something too strong, this would be perfect for you. </p><p style="text-align: justify;"><b><i><a href="https://www.elizabetharden.co.uk/white-tea---eau-de-toilette-fragrance-1003A0106000.html?cgid=white-tea#start=2&cgid=white-tea">Elizabeth Arden White Tea Perfume </a></i></b></p>This is my go-to everyday perfume that I wear, I've gone through two bottles already and I am obsessed with the scent. The scents are Musky, Floral, Woody, but whilst it sounds a lot more of a harsher scent, I do find this quite floral/Summery which is probably down to the top note being Italian Mandarin and Japanese White fern. </div><div><p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="https://www.elizabetharden.co.uk/eight-hour-cream-protectant--lipstick-balm-spf-15-UK10014253000.html#q=lip%2Bprotectant&lang=en_GB&start=1"><b><i>Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Lip Protectant </i></b></a></p><p style="text-align: justify;">I used to have this lip protectant in the tin version which is an airport exclusive, but I have found the tin gets stuck on a regular basis and decided to instead invest in the lipstick-lip protectant instead. This essentially is a balm version of the OG protectant I mentioned above, it's a little less thick that you purely use on your lips. This is so much easier to use by chucking it into my handbag, and you can apply just a light layer of it instead of a the thick tube protectant. What makes this even better is that it's got SPF 15 as well which with the Summer heatwave, is very important! </p><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmXF_CqPoS0h4nksSCylObndzshgb2_6EjkXBZk97tnbIDw_XfUL6KyEf7G459JCeQ57-QPfQQUEY54pFqOhgBpbLdmMpFAvwwQk1BkGCzoGy3OKuJ5Nlfc_LpxmNT4ruLTs7NGmKz3nrbWuydwZVh3HH1WKxroeTE7qiYVGtAQzOQA9uQLRxOSZF51g/s1920/IMG_4473.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmXF_CqPoS0h4nksSCylObndzshgb2_6EjkXBZk97tnbIDw_XfUL6KyEf7G459JCeQ57-QPfQQUEY54pFqOhgBpbLdmMpFAvwwQk1BkGCzoGy3OKuJ5Nlfc_LpxmNT4ruLTs7NGmKz3nrbWuydwZVh3HH1WKxroeTE7qiYVGtAQzOQA9uQLRxOSZF51g/s16000/IMG_4473.png" /></a></div><div><b><br /></b></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b><i><a href="https://www.elizabetharden.co.uk/on/demandware.store/Sites-ElizabethArdenUK-Site/en_GB/Product-Variation?pid=UK1001070400&dwvar_UK1001070400_color=ce9294">Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Protectant Lipstick Sheer Tint Balm</a></i></b></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Whilst I went and purchased the clear one, I got sucked in, naturally, into the tinted lip balm. I chose the shade 'Blush' which whilst it looks super colourful and striking red, it is quite a light pink when I apply it. This is exactly the same as the above lip protectant, but just with that bit of colour added to it so it's a nice way to be able to wear lipstick when you even have really dry lips.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b><br /></b></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b><i><a href="https://www.elizabetharden.co.uk/moisturisers/daycreams/">Elizabeth Arden Intensive Daily Moisturiser </a></i></b></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b><br /></b></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Lastly, I can't remember where I had gotten this moisturiser, but when travelling or for overnight stays, I love this little miniature moisturiser. I find that all the skincare products from EA really work for my dry skin type. Whilst I don't use this on a day to day basis, and I don't have a large version of it, I have enjoyed grabbing this as a travel sized moisturiser whenever I need it, it doesn't irritate my skin at all and is just an all rounder good moisturiser. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Have you used any Elizabeth Arden products before and if so which ones? </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgm-HVqVfRWruK4ZSp427XMtqhpHnp6QxJcCDZa9HyZwGaLkTwo-1ddFiigPLF8MephFgCTfq3wJ-hfGIi1CJSdi0qFu0SPGxcJ--rbxEU0GoL-VoiCjgGshQ27huw0yB4h0XKSgJgRm8wxlWBnB4bRxdd4hTBnsJ7XZwlAO6WirgZW_YMLYuRPz0qPWw/s1920/IMG_4478.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgm-HVqVfRWruK4ZSp427XMtqhpHnp6QxJcCDZa9HyZwGaLkTwo-1ddFiigPLF8MephFgCTfq3wJ-hfGIi1CJSdi0qFu0SPGxcJ--rbxEU0GoL-VoiCjgGshQ27huw0yB4h0XKSgJgRm8wxlWBnB4bRxdd4hTBnsJ7XZwlAO6WirgZW_YMLYuRPz0qPWw/s16000/IMG_4478.png" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p>Iridescent Placeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18431798832975351014noreply@blogger.com12tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7518997597964601572.post-23420379621802085312022-07-20T10:22:00.001+01:002022-07-20T10:22:14.121+01:00Must Haves: Holiday Makeup Bag<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuxnBp1duP1PcNqmdhx4jg4za4XrXqLYPh4iWWJ_SdSUceEEbqP9Bt0C4m4xM9p-Duxcm7FJIlyndQg4dHmxdMUJ_3ExHXNk2LFHzPVQsDA5jUK91btiERincWrIMdHWfXTRqEF_DShp-hXWc3tlfHOPb6ZVTcrTWUjGelQvrdqaHxkxIJ18u3GL1cNg/s1920/IMG_4440.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuxnBp1duP1PcNqmdhx4jg4za4XrXqLYPh4iWWJ_SdSUceEEbqP9Bt0C4m4xM9p-Duxcm7FJIlyndQg4dHmxdMUJ_3ExHXNk2LFHzPVQsDA5jUK91btiERincWrIMdHWfXTRqEF_DShp-hXWc3tlfHOPb6ZVTcrTWUjGelQvrdqaHxkxIJ18u3GL1cNg/s16000/IMG_4440.png" /></a></div><br /><span></span><p><span></span></p><a name='more'></a>[ad contains gifted products] I've been lucky enough already to have gone on one of my Summer holidays to Spain this year but with a couple more Summer weekends away to South of France, Portugal and back to Spain, I've pretty much found my go-to products that I need to carry with me in all the scorching temperatures. Whether it's skincare or certain lightweight makeup products, I've got my must haves for my next few holidayss. <p></p><p><i><b><a href="https://www.feelunique.com/p/Eau-Thermale-Avene-B-Protect-SPF50-50ml?curr=GBP&gclid=CjwKCAjwquWVBhBrEiwAt1KmwnSrNf-6HBiQq6swgYoxK6zSufihld08nGt4hLBPjJu9SmUA4bUomBoCH0gQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds">Eau Thermale Avène B Protect SPF50*</a></b> -</i> Whilst I'm on holiday I tend to really let my skin breathe a lot more, I don't wear foundation and rarely wear any coverage on my face. However, if I am going to wear anything it's this product. This product is a high SPF suncream with small beads that when rubbed into your skin, turns into light coverage. If I'm going out in the evenings I love wearing this product because it's still so important to have a high coverage SPF regardless of the time of day especially in those hot countries. I have to say I'm blown away by this product and especially the price of it too, it's affordable considering it's quality and the SPF it provides. </p><p><b><i><a href="https://www.boots.com/la-roche-posay-anthelios-shaka-ultra-light-facial-sun-cream-spf50-50ml-10259635?cm_mmc=bmm-buk-google-ppc-_-LIAs-_-Toiletries-_-UK_Smart_Shopping_LIAs_Toiletries&gclid=CjwKCAjwquWVBhBrEiwAt1Kmwr5HRVVMGDvpsBeXOo9UcmkwZkG0ItYVdOr4gCGgbuGksHP0JxTfEBoCDqcQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds">La Roche-Posay SPF 50+</a></i></b> - My go-to face SPF has to be this one from La Roche-Posay. This product provides the ultimate protection to my face and since using it I have noticed I've not had a single burn on my face when lying in the sun. I love how lightweight this suncream is, it doesn't feel heavily oily or thick on my skin, and soaks in almost immediately when I apply it so you're not left with any white-residue. </p><p><i style="font-weight: bold;"><a href="https://www.lookfantastic.com/sol-de-janeiro-bum-bum-body-scrub-220g/12715747.html?affil=thggpsad&switchcurrency=GBP&shippingcountry=GB&thg_ppc_campaign=71700000088329918&adtype=&product_id=12715747&gclid=Cj0KCQjwz96WBhC8ARIsAATR253ZB2EztTvZ0UqhyRqh3nWKpEKrYZ85jnbYgyGSGRod101ttEP5L5oaArRvEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds">Sol Janeiro Body Buff Scrub</a> - </i>I have to say during the Summer months I definitely take care of my body skin a lot more than in the winter. Because I have my arms and legs out more and more, one of my favourite things to do to keep my skin soft and not looking dry is using a body scrub. One of my favourites to travel with is this one from Sol Janeiro. I've had a couple of these miniatures and whilst I definitely want to fork out on a big one, I love travelling with these as a little goes a long way. It keeps my KP at bay over the Summer months and leaves my skin feeling so soft, and is also perfect to scrub my body with before I shave my legs. </p><p><i style="font-weight: bold;"><a href="https://www.lookfantastic.com/avene-thermal-spring-water-spray-for-sensitive-skin-300ml/11117568.html?affil=thggpsad&switchcurrency=GBP&shippingcountry=GB&shoppingpid=cyberweekendsave20off&thg_ppc_campaign=71700000088329924&adtype=&product_id=11117568&gclid=Cj0KCQjwz96WBhC8ARIsAATR252A-Qor4SFwIoWDro-zOwzZLwE5aTSwt1lKemn0-AzPSA1IgMCirTUaAia9EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds">Avène Thermal Spring Water Spray for Sensitive Skin*</a> - </i>I can't tell you how much this spray has saved me during the heatwave and just in general. Whilst this is the BIG bottle, they do have miniatures available and I would highly recommend buying this for any trips to cities to pop in your handbag This cooling spray is a life saver during the heat, I find that the cannister it's in keeps the water inside so cool and a quick spray to the face is all I need to rehydrate my skin and freshen it up. As much as I barely wear any makeup on holiday, there are some evenings where you just want a little bit more coverage. I'll swap between the Avene BB cream and this one. I only use a couple of drops and only to the very ends of my hair (otherwise it would leave my roots looking greasy) but I adore the scent of this oil. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSsM16j5K4QIgVVIAQT_eXRPqQ_gwaQPc5XLNV0CtrKgF0gZDyC7EdV-7S2IQBwfankJlAD0uH-6hqbviMki8joFNP6zduzOUGdqKsWwDR24UHSehFwzRtPdgNGx8RIIzPSPCn1WxAilTRgn2jMaKPwRF4jYIjEuBIwPDamvW5hPkXPjqPCQeb5Hm0bw/s1920/IMG_4432.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgSsM16j5K4QIgVVIAQT_eXRPqQ_gwaQPc5XLNV0CtrKgF0gZDyC7EdV-7S2IQBwfankJlAD0uH-6hqbviMki8joFNP6zduzOUGdqKsWwDR24UHSehFwzRtPdgNGx8RIIzPSPCn1WxAilTRgn2jMaKPwRF4jYIjEuBIwPDamvW5hPkXPjqPCQeb5Hm0bw/s16000/IMG_4432.png" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Let me know some of your favourite haircare products in the comments below, especially if you colour your hair! </div></div></div>Iridescent Placeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18431798832975351014noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7518997597964601572.post-33062024283467789862022-06-13T13:41:00.001+01:002022-06-13T13:41:04.608+01:00AD | Refresh Your Skin with Boots<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiggCV3GQRxRlVUFvdA4hjWyOrmBVKzjJUNdd_9VtH0qhSrqp2jidDYBDeYOltyeEnefaa8ypofbE-656u8b9Trwd01i4Ook1F5dgEXByWxJWxM5pWAa_73PKrisixy586KOEeNyR51Ae6uce_HZ2Ie_cI5QfdWBiNkJ5DGExPZqjJFgCknMXTbrqZJyQ/s1920/IMG_4418.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiggCV3GQRxRlVUFvdA4hjWyOrmBVKzjJUNdd_9VtH0qhSrqp2jidDYBDeYOltyeEnefaa8ypofbE-656u8b9Trwd01i4Ook1F5dgEXByWxJWxM5pWAa_73PKrisixy586KOEeNyR51Ae6uce_HZ2Ie_cI5QfdWBiNkJ5DGExPZqjJFgCknMXTbrqZJyQ/s16000/IMG_4418.png" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span></span><span><a name='more'></a></span><span style="text-align: justify;"><br /></span></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="text-align: justify;">[ad paid partnership] I know that I'm not the only one who is absolutely ecstatic that Spring and Summer are finally on their way. This is a very gentle cleanser that provides luminous and glowing skin whilst ensuring it's completely cleansed your skin. I have quite sensitive skin and find that this product is so mild and gentle as it turns into a skin-softening milk once applied. If you were a fan of the original Cleanse & Polish but suffer from dry skin, definitely give this a go! </p><p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwdvnWmvl5zaeZ9dIKzo7yw0pZVePoVUBnkfq4e0HddWVqGrKZv3SE0uPIJn8r_pvFMl8TtW8a6dY-mAx90o5RyWVD3wjD7uJ94E-oN6x3fJNCAFu5RxuMGxMO8bK4pYpH0FFvTVOIT7uoJyygyvxUdOgobXdTY20F34gkhZeEgFECfEkt6FZF2Rc70w/s1920/IMG_4395.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiwdvnWmvl5zaeZ9dIKzo7yw0pZVePoVUBnkfq4e0HddWVqGrKZv3SE0uPIJn8r_pvFMl8TtW8a6dY-mAx90o5RyWVD3wjD7uJ94E-oN6x3fJNCAFu5RxuMGxMO8bK4pYpH0FFvTVOIT7uoJyygyvxUdOgobXdTY20F34gkhZeEgFECfEkt6FZF2Rc70w/s16000/IMG_4395.png" /></a></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><i style="font-weight: bold;"><a href="https://www.boots.com/elizabeth-arden-eight-hour-cream-skin-protectant-50ml-10029058?cm_mmc=bmm-buk-google-ppc-_-PLAs_HeroCompare-_-Beauty_Premium_Low_ROAS-_-UK_Smart_Shopping_Beauty_Premium_Low_ROAS&gclid=Cj0KCQjw1ZeUBhDyARIsAOzAqQJvnbg98KmqUAfccXQi6xqy4fRA6_c0awiXqK43rWBxY31Q9ncwjzAaAh3BEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds" rel="nofollow">Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Protectant* </a> </i>- No matter what time of the year it is, Winter, Summer, Autumn or Spring I <i>have </i>to have this 8 hour protectant in my skincare bag. This is my holy grail product mainly due the fact that it can be used for pretty much anything and everything. During the Winter months I use this for all my dry patches on my skin. In the Spring and Summer this is my go-to for when I have seen a little bit too much sun and works wonders as lip balm and both as an after-sun to stop my face from peeling. </p><div style="text-align: justify;"><i style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;"><a href="http://boots.com/avene-very-high-protection-b-protect-spf50-sun-cream-for-sensitive-skin-30ml-10264273" nofollow="" rel="“sponsored”rel=">Avène Very High Protection B-Protect SPF50+ Face Sun Cream for Sensitive Skin* </a> </i><i style="font-weight: bold;">- </i>Whilst Spring in the UK is always a bit temperamental, we are sometimes very lucky to experience full blown Summer days nearing into the mid and sometimes high 20's. Something that's so important during these months is SPF and it's something I ensure to wear daily. During the warmer months I wear a lot less in terms of my base foundation, so a BB cream or tinted moisturiser is my go-to and this Avene Face Sun Cream is the perfect combination. With SPF 50+ it protects your skin from both UVB lights. When you start applying to your face, it has small beads that burst and turn into a tinted colour which is just the right amount of coverage. Boots has an array of different sun protection products on offer including<a href="https://www.boots.com/festival/sunprotection/factor-50-sun-cream" rel="nofollow"> Factor 50 Sun Cream </a> and<a href="https://www.boots.com/beauty/skincare/facial-skincare/spf-skincare" rel="nofollow"> </a><a href="ttps://www.boots.com/beauty/skincare/facial-skincare/spf-skincare">SPF skincare .</a> </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiinM7Ri7MJ1MJY5OFlQbcUXnA4Xpuhz7g4c2JA0IYm_F2HnwdcZFZ7B1OxpVxD3v6Lq0obUx05kYAYmFHV5Q2CFpmIlySvwqwEzidXCu4nIkBut9zV6mWmASu0Z2FdS9460uehwTwHXl3LgoEbO0ugM0GmzSsaeREV_5Po_dcNoU6bZrOAlRD4w4Ucjw/s1920/IMG_4423.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiinM7Ri7MJ1MJY5OFlQbcUXnA4Xpuhz7g4c2JA0IYm_F2HnwdcZFZ7B1OxpVxD3v6Lq0obUx05kYAYmFHV5Q2CFpmIlySvwqwEzidXCu4nIkBut9zV6mWmASu0Z2FdS9460uehwTwHXl3LgoEbO0ugM0GmzSsaeREV_5Po_dcNoU6bZrOAlRD4w4Ucjw/s16000/IMG_4423.png" /></a></div><div style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold; text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><a href="https://www.boots.com/avene-thermal-spring-water-spray-for-sensitive-skin-300ml-10139903" rel="nofollow"><b><i>Avène Thermal Spring Water Spray for Sensitive Skin</i></b></a>*<i style="font-weight: bold;"> </i>- Avene has become one of my favourite brands as I find it works so well for both my dry and sensitive skin. The Thermal Spring Water is an absolute saviour when it gets to the warmer months. My skin can get quite dehydrated in the warmer months, and using this in the morning and evening (even on top of makeup) just allows my skin to feel refreshed and calms it. When you've spent a long day outside enjoying the sun, or even stuck inside the stuffy air-con office, a few spritz of this automatically revitalises my skin. I also love how fine the mist is so doesn't leave you absolutely covered in water droplets. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7WJyrey4zlAHXk6JSETvxUOC9vOzlmiYGRKuSPFglefhoeqiBziEpHQEK1g1eTvjwD5dP3x5LlTWx9KrQnLKHvSkUMlEntkLmVIlVTCbtPapsUOPluRxTNC5UuwbboMjev7BFDA9JZt4IOCXx6H4S3Vw_BgMK4-AyzHe1tyEM5Lz1HExLMyAM3Ds_Aw/s1920/IMG_4405(1).png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7WJyrey4zlAHXk6JSETvxUOC9vOzlmiYGRKuSPFglefhoeqiBziEpHQEK1g1eTvjwD5dP3x5LlTWx9KrQnLKHvSkUMlEntkLmVIlVTCbtPapsUOPluRxTNC5UuwbboMjev7BFDA9JZt4IOCXx6H4S3Vw_BgMK4-AyzHe1tyEM5Lz1HExLMyAM3Ds_Aw/s16000/IMG_4405(1).png" /></a><br /><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><i style="font-weight: bold;"><a href="https://www.boots.com/garnier-discovery-mask-bundle-10290548" rel="nofollow">Garnier Discovery Discovery Mask Bundle Collection</a>* </i>& <b><i><a href="https://www.boots.com/champneys-treatments-cooling-gel-eye-masks-5x-3g-10280474" rel="nofollow">Champneys Treatments Cooling Gel Eye Masks</a>*</i></b> - I don't think there's anything better than self care than treating yourself to a face mask. The Garnier face masks have become one of my favourite budget friendly products at Boots as they have an array of different products for different areas of concern. The eye masks are some of my favourites as they are so fuss free and instantly de-puff my eyes. If you're looking for a higher-end eye mask, the Champneys Cooling Gel Eye Masks are amazing and instantly provide soothness and relaxation. For when my eyes are puffy (<i>hello hayfever season) </i>these give my eyes instant relief. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJc70KJEpta6Yc4fGFGlV1UNA9b9_xvfZzzqZLWAvMKBuVvPvs4kHleinsM_rU28jEOWZxpYoDQ00_ns2m0w9qMhZ8pmwiufrqxndVMp8vUVEjTT48UKLI6yIBcNKdMKax7pamOrRC9Eyw-7tRbmGpM8dFB87IV0u75iXIXhJyRI8A7MwNKNhRGUqcVg/s1920/IMG_4415.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJc70KJEpta6Yc4fGFGlV1UNA9b9_xvfZzzqZLWAvMKBuVvPvs4kHleinsM_rU28jEOWZxpYoDQ00_ns2m0w9qMhZ8pmwiufrqxndVMp8vUVEjTT48UKLI6yIBcNKdMKax7pamOrRC9Eyw-7tRbmGpM8dFB87IV0u75iXIXhJyRI8A7MwNKNhRGUqcVg/s16000/IMG_4415.png" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Let me know in the comments below how you'll be refreshing your skincare routine this Spring and also if you've used or love any of the above products mentioned! </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div>Iridescent Placeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18431798832975351014noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7518997597964601572.post-86683056558499281062022-05-12T11:36:00.001+01:002022-05-12T11:36:28.794+01:003 Glossier Products<p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_4Fb2oMLrOICn0zOzvDHcSKJzt85XushHilZ9y22wr0s6NlvqjS-ydE4UB0E-7yfcRZFISJlryOBoHV9SAge063KCuhcFovImrYCl9Vwdi9Vd9caxIG14tVOvmfWd2-wOdD66uFC1MOCAfn8wCzNgTDF5UFgw74IlNy-9rCR60ZmETLTgXRUFC2GiOw/s1920/IMG_4355.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg_4Fb2oMLrOICn0zOzvDHcSKJzt85XushHilZ9y22wr0s6NlvqjS-ydE4UB0E-7yfcRZFISJlryOBoHV9SAge063KCuhcFovImrYCl9Vwdi9Vd9caxIG14tVOvmfWd2-wOdD66uFC1MOCAfn8wCzNgTDF5UFgw74IlNy-9rCR60ZmETLTgXRUFC2GiOw/s16000/IMG_4355.png" /></a></p><span><a name='more'></a></span><p>Glossier has been a brand that I had wanted to try ever since it had come out. Now that there is a massive store right in Covent Garden and a two minute walk from my office, I've started to finally add a couple of bits into my collection. </p><p><i style="font-weight: bold;"><a href="https://www.glossier.com/products/cloud-paint">Glossier Cloud Paint 'Puff' </a> </i>The cloud paint is one of the first things I ever wanted to try from Glossier. I had heard such rave reviews about this product and I can totally see why. This cream blusher sits so well on top of my skin and blends like an absolute dream, not shifting any of my makeup underneath. These blushers are incredibly pigmented so you only need a little bit, definitely less is more with this product. There are so many shades to try from but I went for Puff initially because it looked like a lovely everyday and I don't actually own that many true 'pink' blushers in my collection. </p><p><i style="font-weight: bold;"><a href="https://www.glossier.com/products/haloscope">Glossier Haloscope Highlighter 'Quartz'</a> - </i>I was very excited when my lovely coworkers had gifted me also a couple of Glossier bits on my birthday and I had heard a lot about their face makeup bits. I remember when Glossier first came out and it was very much flagged as a lightweight brand, makeup products that look natural. This highlighter I think worst best when not worn with a heavy foundation as it's quite a subtle sheen so needs a base that is lighter. I tend to wear this more with my bareMinerals Complexion Rescue, and it sits best in the Summertime if you're looking for a subtle glow. </p><p><i style="font-weight: bold;"><a href="https://www.glossier.com/products/lidstar">Glossier Lid Star 'Slip' </a> - </i>Along with the Cloud Paints I think the Lid Stars were some of the more iconic releases Glossier came out with. I love my Rose Gold and shimmer tones. I would like a bit more thickness in terms of pigmentation, as whilst they are pigmented, it's quite a light base layer, but I love wearing this under my eyeshadows as a base, sort of how I use the Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise. However in the Summer I know this is going to be all I wear on my lids as when I wear less foundation etc, I go a lot lighter on my eyes and this will look amazing.</p><p>There's still a lot more from the brand I want to try, including the You perfume and Jelly Cleanser. I did a post like this not long ago of my favourite places to buy jewellery (<a href="https://www.iridescentplaces.com/2021/04/my-favourite-places-to-shop-for.html">here</a>) but this time thought I'd share some of my favourite pieces in my collection. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><b><i><a href="https://www.danielwellington.com/uk/dw-watch-women-classic-petite-evergold-gold-white-28mm/">Daniel Wellington Watch</a></i></b>, <b><i><a href="https://www.danielwellington.com/uk/dw-accessories-unisex-classic-bracelet-evergold-small/">Bangles</a></i></b> & <b><i><a href="https://www.danielwellington.com/uk/dw-ring-classic-ring-rose-gold-48/">Ring</a></i></b>: I have always wanted a timeless and classic gold watch and whilst it's not something I wanted to spend an absolute fortune on I had seen quite a few influencers posting about Daniel Wellington and fell in love with this simple watch design. I absolutely love this watch and the matching bangle and ring too. I also have a bangle in rose gold that matched one of my old rose gold watches but because it's tarnished a little over time it doesn't look that insanely weird next to the others so I tend to wear them together. I've just seen that they have an <b><i><a href="https://www.danielwellington.com/uk/dw-bracelet-elan-unity-bracelet-rose-gold-155mm/">Elan Unity Bracelet</a></i></b> in gold too...and I think I might have to treat myself to that next payday! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Next of my favourite pieces of jewellery is my<b><i><a href="https://de.stilnest.com/en/products/zodiac-seal-necklace-solid-gold-14-ct"> Stilnest Zodiac Necklace 'Pisces'</a></i></b>. I originally had a zodiac pendant from my Grandma which was her zodiac sign, but when that sadly got stolen, I asked for a replacement with my own. I absolutely adore this necklace and it's probably my most worn necklace. It's just elegant and because the pendant almost looks 'hammered', it's quite a subtle necklace to wear.<br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Another Zodiac necklace that I recently got as a gift for Christmas is my <i style="font-weight: bold;"><a href="https://www.abbottlyon.com/products/gemstone-zodiac-necklace-gold">Abbot Lyon Gemstone Zodiac Necklace </a>. </i>What I love the most about this necklace is actually how different it is, instead of any diamonds etc it's actually got almost a pearl through it. Because the chain lengths are a bit different as well, I sometimes even wear my two zodiac necklaces together. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">Earrings I'm always really happy with my Accessorize or Orelia huggie hoops, I find them always super easy to wear with whatever style. One pair of earrings though in my collection which are a bit different are my <b><i>Gold Thread Earrings.</i></b> I'm not actually sure where this exact pair are from but there are loads available on Etsy like this pair <a href="https://www.abbottlyon.com/products/gemstone-zodiac-necklace-gold">here</a> or <a href="https://www.etsy.com/listing/617147642/ear-threader-earrings-gold-ear-threader?click_key=7f97376599fed666130d35bdec5403941d4d00e4%3A617147642&click_sum=eb08b532&ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=thread+earrings&ref=sr_gallery-1-5&organic_search_click=1&pro=1">here</a>. I love wearing these to more 'events' like weddings as they make a bit of a change to the usual. I'm definitely going to buy a few more pairs! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">I do have some other favourite pieces in my collection, but they are actually more ones handed down from family, so won't share those ones. I would love to add some Missoma pieces to my collection, I have my eye on a<a href="https://uk.missoma.com/products/savi-square-snake-chain-necklace"> snake chain necklace</a> or a <a href="https://uk.missoma.com/products/molten-wave-stacking-ring?variant=39671636557927&queryId=f49557fe368905c30f88074edcac1c56&pdpIndex=gbp_production_plp_products&objectId=39671636557927&fromPdp=1">Wave stacking ring </a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">What are some of your favourite pieces in your collections and where do you buy your jewellery from? </div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTGbXQX9DEnuIocX1oQL641yawjP_2NrWIYIi_f57AhFmK1lPksZRsKrcnHMEEP82PCuqj4Zt_pHdatqGFHtg2Jn0Hq-j1p_TOa-S7rqif2femmICFbINYYiRESrZy08Y8S96_j-YdbuzdRcmvz8QTOPxDdxb-EQrVo5_yhn9yDRrXHLcnraG8yId4pA/s1920/IMG_4342.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTGbXQX9DEnuIocX1oQL641yawjP_2NrWIYIi_f57AhFmK1lPksZRsKrcnHMEEP82PCuqj4Zt_pHdatqGFHtg2Jn0Hq-j1p_TOa-S7rqif2femmICFbINYYiRESrZy08Y8S96_j-YdbuzdRcmvz8QTOPxDdxb-EQrVo5_yhn9yDRrXHLcnraG8yId4pA/s16000/IMG_4342.png" /></a></div>Iridescent Placeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18431798832975351014noreply@blogger.com10tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7518997597964601572.post-92097690348786857962022-04-04T10:59:00.007+01:002022-04-04T10:59:59.707+01:00Currently Testing Makeup <p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkdegPG18_QcZV6x3TbZxHHhMU_ISYkvqMg1BZaUMb4Jn638lS6ZAEMLYChthnsubgM3nAdzu1MZ2YtgvjUWG_ijGvAcsw1rg_Bpj7spNwOxxY5Bic3sKrDFsgY3Jdh4OYLKOIf-F9RcMJgVKzT7NSRaZ1I8k-m3-zf-GA3Rfr4mW0QNs3ZRbNrUfbVg/s1920/IMG_4337.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkdegPG18_QcZV6x3TbZxHHhMU_ISYkvqMg1BZaUMb4Jn638lS6ZAEMLYChthnsubgM3nAdzu1MZ2YtgvjUWG_ijGvAcsw1rg_Bpj7spNwOxxY5Bic3sKrDFsgY3Jdh4OYLKOIf-F9RcMJgVKzT7NSRaZ1I8k-m3-zf-GA3Rfr4mW0QNs3ZRbNrUfbVg/s16000/IMG_4337.png" /></a></div><span><a name='more'></a></span><div style="text-align: justify;">[ad contains gifted products] With my birthday just recently passing and some very exciting goodies sent to me from some brands, I've been tying out a lot of different new products and mostly foundations <i>which is a favourite of mine to try out. </i></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><i style="font-weight: bold;"><a href="https://www.charlottetilbury.com/uk/product/beautiful-skin-foundation-1-neutral">Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Foundation </a>- </i>I have been wanting to try this foundation for so long and I've read review after review so I was beyond excited when my flatmate got this for my birthday. I've only used it twice so far, but so far I'm really enjoying it. As mentioned I've got quite dry skin so I had heard the foundation would sit really well with my skin as it's sold as a medium and buildable hydrating foundation which is everything I need and look for in a foundation. As much as I love my Nars Sheer Glow foundation, I find it can make makes my skin quite flat looking and at the moment my skin is looking dull so have been on a hunt for something with a bit more life. I have the shade 3Cool which just matches my skin perfectly. I apply it with a beauty blender as that's the best way I've tried so far, and I have been really impressed with the lasting power. I might do a full review on it with close up photos soon! </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b><i><br /></i></b></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><i style="font-weight: bold;"><a href="https://www.charlottetilbury.com/uk/product/hyaluronic-happikiss-lipstick-pillow-talk?istCompanyId=3dfffc45-1529-45a3-a883-dba601d7c955&istFeedId=531587ba-0c6c-4397-a202-a1570efe3443&istItemId=iqawxlwiq&istBid=tzwt&gclid=CjwKCAjwrqqSBhBbEiwAlQeqGqHAqwuWz6GgTL2BaDJdTvM18A_3FJgkZLUZ3dYg2DxYRhao_OlLERoCgsAQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds">Charlotte Tilbury Hyaluronic Happikiss Lipstick 'Pillow Talk' </a> - </i>It's no secret that I love my Pillow Talk lipsticks, I have the gloss and the original lipstick, but I hadn't even seen these lipsticks until my friend had gotten one for my birthday. These act as more like a lip balm, extremely creamy but I'm just so impressed by the pay-off. I actually love wearing this at the moment as it packs a little bit more of a punch colour wise than the usual Pillow Talk lipstick, it's a tad darker, but because it's so creamy and lightweight it doesn't look harsh. One of my favourites is definitely tinted moisturisers in the Summer as I hate wearing proper foundation so I was super intrigued to try this out. With tinted moisturisers I tend to usually apply them with my hand as they are so thin and don't want to lose product in brushes/blenders. This is definitely on the lighter side shade wise than my bareMinerals Complexion Rescue which has a tad more coverage, but I really like this product. It reminds me a bit of an SPF/moisturiser combined in terms of texture as it does have that SPF thicker feel to it. I have two quite light shades, so I do think in the Summer I might need a darker shade. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b><i><br /></i></b></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><i style="font-weight: bold;"><a href="https://www.lauramercier.com/makeup/eyes-eyebrows/eye-shadow/caviar-stick-eye-color-prod450002.html">Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour 'Rosegold' </a>* </i>I have always been a total sucker for eyeshadow sticks, I remember buying the KIKO ones in pretty much every colour when they first came out as a dupe for the ByTerry ones. I was very luckily sent three shades including a beautiful magenta, turquoise (<i>which I need to try out) </i> but naturally the rose gold one stuck out to me for an everyday use. I really love these as they make an amazing travel alternative to a palette, literally not a bad thing to say! </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b><i><br /></i></b></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><a href="https://www.lauramercier.com/makeup/face/blush/blush-color-infusion-prod12702098.html?dwvar_prod12702098_color=Pomegranate&cgid=cat310006"><i style="font-weight: bold;">Laura Mercier Blusher 'Passionfruit'</i></a>* - Recently, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I've turned into a total advocate for cream blushers so I've really neglected my powder ones until this little beauty turned up. I've never tried that many Laura Mercier products so when I got this amazing parcel including this blusher I knew I wanted to give this one a go. I've had to throw away my go-to Milani blusher as it totally smashed so this is now my replacement powder one. It's a beautiful everyday shade, if you're not into your reds or bright/baby pinks, this shade is a beautiful soft pink but with a hint of mauve. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Have you tried any of these products and if not, what products are you tying out at the moment? </div></div></div>Iridescent Placeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18431798832975351014noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7518997597964601572.post-34674304222745958092022-03-15T12:36:00.002+00:002022-03-17T23:09:00.855+00:00Spring Makeup <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEht1Y3Muw-cSW03LWzktQ0T9V9i2Oi2qnJb2bGaiOkerKH3oaibxhfuGB1xos9bO-8lBT24s91tZnTk3ggrBdnQ6WC0F8uaLuY1CMAy_Z5mrbHrGPuZ53GacSE9Kljfw2aE5Mzu_lQw1_P212YK2sivFMjjuk8dSSfdIdEwmpbpEYTKbL9KTJPXnZ5i6Q=s1920" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEht1Y3Muw-cSW03LWzktQ0T9V9i2Oi2qnJb2bGaiOkerKH3oaibxhfuGB1xos9bO-8lBT24s91tZnTk3ggrBdnQ6WC0F8uaLuY1CMAy_Z5mrbHrGPuZ53GacSE9Kljfw2aE5Mzu_lQw1_P212YK2sivFMjjuk8dSSfdIdEwmpbpEYTKbL9KTJPXnZ5i6Q=s16000" /></a></div><div><br /></div><span><a name='more'></a></span><div style="text-align: justify;">[ad contains gifted products] The sun has finally graced us with it's presence and honestly I've never been so happy. I find the best way to apply it is with a kabuki flat-top brush as it gives it an even buff. I have always wanted to try something from this brand and for my friend's birthday I got her a cloud paint and lip balm and just knew I needed to try it too. I picked the shade Puff as I thought it was the most wearable especially for Spring and Summer. I can see why this product gets <i>so </i>much hype. This is a gorgeous blush and just blends so easily and you only need a tiny bit of product but it's totally buildable as well. This doesn't shift or look heavy on top of any of my foundations I've tried which is a real bonus as that's what's always steered me away from cream products. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b><i><a href="https://www.lookfantastic.com/urban-decay-naked-3-palette/10876416.html?affil=thggpsad&switchcurrency=GBP&shippingcountry=GB&shoppingpid=10PC_urbanv&thg_ppc_campaign=71700000088329921&adtype=&product_id=10876416&gclid=CjwKCAjw8sCRBhA6EiwA6_IF4bu_aBQQonoZkR2ZK8XoZbKMgxyh1rpq3Yy86wPXAVdjHLgdT9flfRoCtPMQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds">Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette</a></i></b></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">I don't care what anyone says, yes this palette is 100 years old, yes it's probably and most definitely expired and needs chucking away, but I won't do it. I can't do it to myself. This is one of my holy grail palettes for Spring and Summer and I just love all the pink and mauvey tones in this. Frankly I'm so surprised that I haven't hit pan on every shade as I use this palette quite often! This however might be it's last year... </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b><i><a href="https://www.benefitcosmetics.com/en-gb/product/cookie-powder-highlighter">Benefit 'Cookie' Highlighter</a></i></b></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">After finally having to get rid and say goodbye to my one true love which was the The Balm Mary Lou, I was looking for a highlighter that was a bit more impactful but also not full-glitter and buildable. I had gotten my flatmate a trio set from Benefit which included Cookie and after seeing her use it...I had realised that I clearly vocalised how much I wanted it too. Seems to be a common theme when I gift friends makeup, I realise I want it for myself as well. I love this highlighter as you can really go as light touch with it or intense as you want. Whilst the bulky packaging annoys the hell out of me, the product is too good. This is a golden-pearly shade and works so well with pink and peachy blushers. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b><i><a href="https://www.charlottetilbury.com/uk/product/k-i-s-s-i-n-g-bitch-perfect">Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G 'Bitch Perfect' </a> & <a href="https://www.bareminerals.com/makeup/lips/lip-gloss/mineralist-lip-gloss-balm/USmasterglossbalm.html">bareMinerals glossbalm 'Vision' </a>*</i></b></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b><i><br /></i></b></div><div style="text-align: justify;">When it comes to lip products in the Spring I definitely steer away from my brown nudes into pinkier and peachy nudes. I was passed this book along by my flatmate's mum who really enjoyed it. Small pleasures follows the story of a journalist who works at a local paper and a woman gets in touch with the paper claiming that her daughter is the result of a virgin birth. Now frankly I have absolutely no idea where this story is going to go, but it's a storyline I'm quite intrigued by! </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><b style="font-style: italic;"><div style="text-align: justify;"><b><a href="https://www.amazon.co.uk/Wife-Upstairs-Rachel-Hawkins/dp/0008377510/ref=asc_df_0008377510/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=430885999329&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=16232043261420241146&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9045888&hvtargid=pla-933041281129&psc=1&tag=&ref=&adgrpid=97419296102&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvadid=430885999329&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=16232043261420241146&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9045888&hvtargid=pla-933041281129">The Wife Upstairs by Rachel Hawkins </a></b></div></b><div style="text-align: justify;"><b><i><br /></i></b></div><div><div style="text-align: justify;">A delicious twist on a Gothic classic, The Wife Upstairs is a book I got for Christmas that I can't wait to delve into. This book explores the hopes, fears and secrets of a small community and how they come together. The Vanishing Half follows the story of two twins who lead very different lifestyles after separating in their teens, however their paths come back through their next generation of children. I've really been enjoying this books, and whilst it has taken me forever to read (<i>not because it's difficult to read, purely I've been lazy when it comes to reading) </i>I highly recommend it. </p><p style="text-align: justify;"><b><i>Jewellery</i></b></p><p style="text-align: justify;">A couple of new pieces of Jewellery I've had and been wearing recently include my <b><i><a href="https://en.stilnest.com/products/zodiac-seal-necklace-solid-gold-14-ct">Stilnest Pisces Zodiac Necklac</a></i></b>e. When my zodiac necklace got stolen last year, which was my Grandma's, I was beyond gutted, so had asked for one for Christmas and I adore this. I've been wearing it pretty much everyday and its just gorgeous and lovely quality. Another piece of jewellery are my new earrings I got too. I got these gorgeous gold ear thread earrings and I've never seen a pair like them before and whilst I don't know exactly where there are from, there are loads out there that look quite similar. Firstly I've been keeping 'up to date' with current affairs through the Guardian in Focus podcast which choses a 'current news agenda' to delve into. I've quite enjoyed these podcasts as they've always been straight talking and don't get too technically whilst still remaining informative. I spend a lot of my time in my job reading tabloid newspapers, so this is a good way for me to in-jest other media! Other podcasts include the Wondery podcast <b><i>Harsh Reality: The Story of Mirian Rivera</i></b>, which tells the story of reality TV start Miriam Rivera and the reality TV show fraught with controversy. I've also been listening to '<b><i>How To Fail with Elizabeth Day'</i></b> in which she invites a famous/celebrity guest on her podcast to talk about moments in their life in which they feel as if they failed. I listened to the Jacqueline Wilson one (one of my favourite authors as a child) and found it fascinating!</div><div></div>Iridescent Placeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18431798832975351014noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7518997597964601572.post-91552348354432248482022-01-29T10:04:00.004+00:002022-01-29T10:04:44.592+00:00What I've Been Watching Lately <p style="text-align: justify;"><b></b></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><b><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhpv2jGPueCgvd0oGx4cOPhIYGhlqX-ox1zsTdqUICUlzisR0BQxwphgksbW_xflwypzI8mMT4thusrZVjS48lZFZkFP2Zvj-q-NBtrBalBUK_8RiTEbzFJyR4WVR6Z7yXFE6h2YZ0F2ewfoENBPDRrjiWBw-4-UV9bFgFiVf0FJ_MUyjrhFeG8mnWOGg=s5184" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="5184" data-original-width="3456" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhpv2jGPueCgvd0oGx4cOPhIYGhlqX-ox1zsTdqUICUlzisR0BQxwphgksbW_xflwypzI8mMT4thusrZVjS48lZFZkFP2Zvj-q-NBtrBalBUK_8RiTEbzFJyR4WVR6Z7yXFE6h2YZ0F2ewfoENBPDRrjiWBw-4-UV9bFgFiVf0FJ_MUyjrhFeG8mnWOGg=s16000" /></a></b></div><b><br /><span><a name='more'></a></span></b><p></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><b><i>Queer Eye</i></b></p><p style="text-align: justify;">I don't think there is a better feel-good TV show than Queer Eye. If you haven't watched it, it's essentially a 'makeover show' but is also <i>so much more </i>than that. Netflix rebooted the original series with the Fab Five, who help those who have been nominated by family/friends in giving them a full lifestyle makeover. For me, this goes so much deeper, and this season particularly, I've cried in every single episode. The people in it are so grateful for the Fab Five and the difference they make is just incredible. </p><p style="text-align: justify;"><b><i>Emily in Paris Season 2</i></b></p><p style="text-align: justify;">Of course I had to binge watch the new series of this utter trash. Now I'm not sure about anyone else, but I swear not only are the outfits worse in this series, but the acting is atrocious. However, if you're hungover/isolating or just generally having a slow day, it's the perfect show to just watch in the background and binge. If you aren't familiar, it's about a marketeer Emily, who is sent from America to Paris to work for a year. Queue fit Paris men, drama and her horrific attempt at French, it's just one very easy-watch show. </p><p style="text-align: justify;"><b><i>Chicago Med</i></b></p><p style="text-align: justify;">I am forever obsessed with finding new medical dramas that I haven't watched. If there is one out there, chances are I've already seen it. Chicago Med is an instalment in the 'Chicago' NBC series (<i>Chicago Fire, Chicago PD) </i>and I've just been really enjoying watching it. There is definitely always a formula for all medical dramas; nurse and doctor get together, doctor falls ill/nurse falls ill, pandemic/natural disaster hit, computer system goes down etc...and whilst I wouldn't say any of the storylines are anything new, I've still been loving it. </p><p style="text-align: justify;"><i><b>Cheer Season 2</b></i></p><p style="text-align: justify;">Cheer follows the lives of cheering squads in Texas as they compete in one of their largest competitions Daytona. I remember watching season 1 a while back and what's interesting about this season is that they've actively started bringing through some of the controversy that's been brought to light since the first series starting. It shows their gruelling training regime and their fight to beat their rivals. I've not yet finished the latest season (<i>think we have one or two episodes left) </i> but it's definitely got a different vibe to it this season. </p><p style="text-align: justify;"><b><i>Below Deck </i></b></p><p style="text-align: justify;">Another one of my holy grail trash TV shows, the latest series of Below Deck has been as fantastic as the last. Below Deck follows a group of crew who work on yachts which are chartered out by the rich and (sometimes but rarely not famous). I've watched every single season of both Below Deck and Below Deck: Med and of course Below Deck is my favourite with Captain Lee (if you know, you know) who just doesn't take any shit from the crew members. The drama levels are just insane, frankly I have no idea how they have any time to do any actual work with all the drama that goes on, but highly recommend! </p><p style="text-align: justify;">Other shows that I'm waiting to watch include; Trigger, The Teacher & The Responder, I feel like finally all the good dramas are coming out as there just weren't as many as usual in the run up to Christmas. Let me know what you've been watching recently in the comments below! </p>Iridescent Placeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18431798832975351014noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7518997597964601572.post-28010051140266907622022-01-18T19:16:00.001+00:002022-01-18T19:16:40.396+00:00A Face of bareMinerals <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgFS7-yae9oE1f-rKt7GuQAB3CKdOkhOB71IGt3t10alB5zdOHBvY9jhlEQFVfqFnhHndTPuQOu3K23A3BrgRI-HHLj3dREYubYbAkZeA85FWCSIfpsaKSgtnTPe7IejsovhGXFwJRHerQD_U4flnKbBdkh_nKEVQluLPXDDQ8pQunN-mIAIl3wv7zo2A=s1920" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgFS7-yae9oE1f-rKt7GuQAB3CKdOkhOB71IGt3t10alB5zdOHBvY9jhlEQFVfqFnhHndTPuQOu3K23A3BrgRI-HHLj3dREYubYbAkZeA85FWCSIfpsaKSgtnTPe7IejsovhGXFwJRHerQD_U4flnKbBdkh_nKEVQluLPXDDQ8pQunN-mIAIl3wv7zo2A=s16000" /></a></div><span><a name='more'></a></span><p>[ad contains gifted products] I posted a reel of me using a face of bareMinerals on my instagram (you can watch it <a href="https://www.instagram.com/reel/CY4f0fZlBAI/?utm_medium=copy_link">here</a>) and I thought I'd do a blog post as well as there are a couple of new exciting bits in my bareMinerals collection that I thought I'd share my thoughts on too and how I find the best way to use some of the products! </p><p><b><a href="https://www.bareminerals.co.uk/makeup/face/foundation/complexion-rescue-hydrating-foundation-stick-spf-25-opal/UKmasterCRstick.html?dwvar_UKmasterCRstick_SkinShade=Opal"><i>bareMinerals Hydrating Foundation Stick </i></a>*</b></p><p>Apart from the bareMinerals Complexion Rescue I've not actually tried any other bareMinerals foundations. I first hadn't realised when I used it, just <i>how </i>thick it was and went a bit too overboard with it. This concealer only needs light touches in your key under-eye area (<i>or on the blemishes)</i> for a full effect. I love using this for under my eyes and on any spots. I find the best way to apply this concealer is either with your fingers and blend it in, or a I also like to use the bareMinerals Concealer brush as well to apply it. </p><p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgRYTZeAJPe-RIJPMQCYsV8FpizJS096dx-OM-v3f0e4A7kKWs_lSw85bYDV4MkIiWb9FXFRr2pnhHsW5UXgCZKA6cmsca6sfjKPBIPjRHZFaoVSdaIs8duFxe7JvRhUyhF7RDAt1XeNpZTCqhBmWSPVj0vI7p8xFmA-grJHNN3Ucai-4EYTWelYJSvsA=s1920" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgRYTZeAJPe-RIJPMQCYsV8FpizJS096dx-OM-v3f0e4A7kKWs_lSw85bYDV4MkIiWb9FXFRr2pnhHsW5UXgCZKA6cmsca6sfjKPBIPjRHZFaoVSdaIs8duFxe7JvRhUyhF7RDAt1XeNpZTCqhBmWSPVj0vI7p8xFmA-grJHNN3Ucai-4EYTWelYJSvsA=s16000" /></a></p><p><b><a href="https://www.bareminerals.co.uk/makeup/face/blusher/gen-nude-blonzer/UKmastergnblonzer.html?bvstate=pg:2/ct:r"><i>bareMinerals Gen Nude Blonzer 'Kiss of Copper'</i></a>*</b></p><p>I can't tell you <i>how </i>excited I am to have one of these in my collection. The blonzer products were originally limited edition only, but in the fabulous news that 2022 has brought us, these are now part of the main collection. The blonzers are a bronzer/blush hybrid, offering an effortless flush of colour to your cheeks and face with a slight sheen. The shade I have here Kiss of Copper which is a gorgeous warm-toned shade. Using a contour or a blush brush, I apply this to the apples of my cheeks upwards to my ears and also a bit on my temples too. I can't tell you how buttery this formula is and how it just glides onto the face. Kiss of Pink and Kiss of Coral are next on my list! </p><p><b><a href="https://www.bareminerals.co.uk/cher-webb-livemasterclass/strength-%26-length-serum-infused-brow-gel/UK93030.html"><i>bareMinerals Strength & Lengthen EyeBrow Gel</i></a>*</b></p><p>If you're someone who used to hack at their eyebrows when they were younger, I call for you to try this product. The Strength and Lengthen range at bareMinerals includes a serum in their products that aims to build and restore your natural brows/lashes etc. I own the clear brow gel and not only does this leave my brows looking fluffy and defined all day long, I have noticed that my brows grow back thicker and fuller than ever before. My one advice is that I would be quite gentle with the packaging, as quite a bit of product comes out on the brush, so I try and be quite gentle when pulling the brush out in order to lessen the amount of product on the bristles. </p><p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEi9bRMeCjvFXquPhot65O2rRkgwIF24l7PPvfwiI9uQz58mp12qTrC5IfMV1htlN7f6gIAr3HEMvdFSOFWY3RDQnWDJd7ZqPSPGHemtLKMjRP-9JYxAVcJb8pK0UwI_NozLz299qDoWJjEY0ufDHjxqhNlsm-XjIpe2bIfUt8LohzQ6WqoE3XMiAgnwIA=s1920" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEi9bRMeCjvFXquPhot65O2rRkgwIF24l7PPvfwiI9uQz58mp12qTrC5IfMV1htlN7f6gIAr3HEMvdFSOFWY3RDQnWDJd7ZqPSPGHemtLKMjRP-9JYxAVcJb8pK0UwI_NozLz299qDoWJjEY0ufDHjxqhNlsm-XjIpe2bIfUt8LohzQ6WqoE3XMiAgnwIA=s16000" /></a></p><p><b><i><a href="https://www.bareminerals.com/ghost_category/gen-nude-eyeshadow-%2B-primer/US86023.html">bareMinerals Gen Nude Eyelid and Eyeshadow Primer</a>*</i></b></p><p>Now I have to admit, I. am awful at remembering to prime my eyeshadow, and most of the time that I use a powder eyeshadow, I tend to use a cream shadow underneath anyways that 'acts' as a primer. However, when I do remember, I love reaching for this as it makes my eyelids feel so incredibly soft and leave such a nice even base to add eyeshadow on top of. They also have some variety in different shades as well for the primer. </p><p><b><i><a href="https://www.bareminerals.co.uk/makeup/eyes/eyeshadow/gen-nude-metallic-liquid-eyeshadow/UK91177.html">bareMinerals Gen Nude Metallic Liquid Eyes* </a></i></b></p><p>I've talked about these metallic liquid shadows all the time on my blog, but I absolutely adore using these undernearth any of my powder eyeshadows. They not only add a bit of metallic sheen to my shadows, but they work so well undernearth a shadow too. </p><p><b><i>bareMinerals eyeshadow palettes</i></b></p><p>I have quite a few bareMinerals eyeshadow palettes including the Gen Nude ones which are some of my most holy grail, but recently I've been trying out and using the brand new<a href="https://www.bareminerals.co.uk/makeup/eyes/eyeshadow/mineralist-eye-shadow-palette/UKUKMastermineralisteye.html?dwvar_UKUKMastermineralisteye_SkinShade=Ultranatural" style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;"> </a><a href="https://www.bareminerals.co.uk/makeup/eyes/eyeshadow/mineralist-eye-shadow-palette/UKUKMastermineralisteye.html?dwvar_UKUKMastermineralisteye_SkinShade=Ultranatural"><b><i>bareMinerals Mineralist Eyeshadow Palette</i></b></a><b><i><a href="https://www.bareminerals.co.uk/makeup/eyes/eyeshadow/mineralist-eye-shadow-palette/UKUKMastermineralisteye.html?dwvar_UKUKMastermineralisteye_SkinShade=Ultranatural"> - UltraNatural*</a> a</i></b>nd not only does this palette have gorgeous shades (my favourites being 'Shell' and 'Sandstone') but the ethics around the palette are amazing. The palette is eco-friendly with sustainable packaging and is fully recyclable which I think is just incredible. Also it's incredibly lightweight as well. I would have loved a mirror on this palette like the rest of the bareMinerals palettes come with, but from a sustainability point of view, this was obviously why it wasn't included. <br /><br /><b><i><a href="https://www.bareminerals.co.uk/makeup/eyes/eyeliner/mineralist-lasting-eyeliner/UK41701069101.html">bareMinerals Mineralist Lasting Eyeliner</a>*</i></b></p><p>I usually stick to my one good and trusty Revlon £5.99 eyeliner, mainly because I despise either pencil or hard khol liners which is what I can only really ever find in the drugstore, but when I opened this eyeliner up I was so excited that it was. Seeing as I tight-line only I go through <i>a lot </i>of eyeliner in my life, so it is a bit spennier than I usually pay for at £18. But I have to say this absolutely glides onto my tight-line and what I love is the array of different fun shades they have. To note though, this doesn't have a smudger, but I actually tend to either take mine off my liners or chuck them away as, like I said, I really only wear tight-line eyeliner. </p><p><b><i><a href="https://www.bareminerals.co.uk/makeup/lips/lipgloss/mineralist-gloss-balm/UKUKMastermineralistgloss.html?dwvar_UKUKMastermineralistgloss_SkinShade=Trust">bareMinerals Gloss Balm</a>*</i></b></p><p>I think these Gloss balms probably sit as my second ever favourite bareMinerals products. I have three of the shades; Clarity, Ingenuity & Zen. These have replaced all my glosses as well as my top favourite, and I've pretty much already used up Clarity completely after only having it for 5 months. They make my lips look so completely juicy, full and glossy but whilst still keeping them feeling hydrated and moisturised. I love wearing both Ingenuity & Zen on their own for a bit of light colour, or pairing them with a lipstick, and Clarity is my favourite to wear with harsher lipsticks that I'm looking to lighten up or de-mattify! </p><p>Let me know in the comments below what some of your favourite bareMinerals products are and if you've tried any of the above ones mentioned! </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiuUbDPuv6Ixw0MZySgwyEHg5LaMC3t4pHQidd3U6nCz9UW2boFSP3AtZnsBu01Bebw54kYwBtdH9i6mcC1b7GnHtXmsfSXwZgTpW5D_BjuoQtzzT1qZAOwa59p1xuYbyOzzppa1CDeibkt_K6BoaqEOL5cmL-a6c07LnMhKgQAYyNMY_BYqIm8vOv-ZQ=s1920" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiuUbDPuv6Ixw0MZySgwyEHg5LaMC3t4pHQidd3U6nCz9UW2boFSP3AtZnsBu01Bebw54kYwBtdH9i6mcC1b7GnHtXmsfSXwZgTpW5D_BjuoQtzzT1qZAOwa59p1xuYbyOzzppa1CDeibkt_K6BoaqEOL5cmL-a6c07LnMhKgQAYyNMY_BYqIm8vOv-ZQ=s16000" /></a></div><br /><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p>Iridescent Placeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18431798832975351014noreply@blogger.com12tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7518997597964601572.post-29373471551787227382022-01-05T17:54:00.006+00:002022-01-05T17:54:57.207+00:00Top 21 in 2021<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiB534bnogJ6J4FZ_o9GA4ixHP-O_-51ESbcaC9sWZi-4Ejc73g8I0jMfMydb0SnEAKWZihKgcuE6wdi6AgUvwI7DKP4mCq1jdtPlwhmuw6zh71enQIbOGZALvGEJvt6C1f9QNOFh1Gjb-lY1P8tRvnRg5TH1lsBRrO7e1azHwJ5afZFFZxuQegpqAdDg=s2049" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2049" data-original-width="1536" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiB534bnogJ6J4FZ_o9GA4ixHP-O_-51ESbcaC9sWZi-4Ejc73g8I0jMfMydb0SnEAKWZihKgcuE6wdi6AgUvwI7DKP4mCq1jdtPlwhmuw6zh71enQIbOGZALvGEJvt6C1f9QNOFh1Gjb-lY1P8tRvnRg5TH1lsBRrO7e1azHwJ5afZFFZxuQegpqAdDg=s16000" /></a></div><span><a name='more'></a></span><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;"><span style="text-align: justify;">So every year I do a "top [X] moments in the 202[X]" where I do a rundown of my favourite moments through the year. Naturally during COVID-19 I'm finding these posts incredibly difficult to write as frankly, I think this was even worse than 2020 [see blog post </span><a href="https://www.iridescentplaces.com/2021/01/top-20-in-2020.html" style="text-align: justify;">here</a><span style="text-align: justify;">] when it came to COVID but alas, I'm ignoring it and am using this blog post to bring my top 21 in 2021 moments. </span></div><p style="text-align: left;">1. 27th Birthday. Now frankly I think March birthdays have suffered more than most. My birthday happened right at the start of the pandemic which meant I had to cancel my birthday party in 2020. This year, although we were in full lockdown, I still had such a special day. I woke up to a birthday brunch set-up for me, and my parents gifted me a shark hoover, which I think has to be up there as one of my favourite gifts I've received. It was followed by a stroll to Borough Market for pizza, a walking tour of London (<i>tour provided by my flatmate) </i>and then a Zoom- gin tasting tour! </p><p style="text-align: justify;">2. Lockdown ending. The 12th of April was a fantastic day, we could all finally go out for dinner and restaurants re-opened and we did exactly that, not a minute to waste, we went down to one of our local restaurants Paladar in Elephant and Castle, and had a lovely meal out (<i>highly recommend if you're in the area!) </i></p><p style="text-align: justify;">3. Being asked to be maid of honour. My sister (<i>well cousin but we call each other sisters) </i>asked me to be maid of honour for her wedding next year and my heart just burst, it was the easiest yes ever! </p><p style="text-align: justify;">4. Hen do's. I got to be part of one hen-do and also organize another and I just feel like weddings and hen-do's are now going to be taking over my life for the next couple of years as more and more friends and family get engaged! We did one in London and one in Bath and I'm so excited to be organising another one abroad next year. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">5. Spain. After a year apart from COVID, I finally got to see my parents in Spain in the Summer. I still wasn't able to travel to Switzerland and had to fork out a fortune on tests (<i>this was back in the day of day 2, 5 and 8 tests and isolation) </i>but we had the loveliest time together. I was there for 2 weeks, and it felt like my first proper holiday in the pandemic and it was just really important to have seen them after so long. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">6. Finally when lockdown started to ease, we finally got to go back to concerts. Whilst three of them I was working at, I got to see Anne-Marie, Mabel, Years & Years and most famously Steps, all play live and it was just one of the best experiences being back at a large venue where everyone was enjoying themselves. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">7. My flatmate and I, as you may have seen in my blog post <a href="https://www.iridescentplaces.com/2021/08/a-day-out-in-whitstable.html">here</a>, went to Whitstable for a day out. We had the best time eating and just wandering around the local area. I also caught up with an old colleague too for tea and it just felt so nice to finally explore more of the UK as I'd never been before! </p><p style="text-align: justify;">8. So lucky to have attended two weddings this year, one where I was a bridesmaid as well. I travelled to Guernsey for my friends' wedding in the Summer and whilst it was the briefest weekend in existence, I had a lovely time. I also attended another one in Wales the weekend before Christmas and we were just so happy firstly that it <i>actually </i>went ahead as it was so touch and go, we all remained healthy after the wedding too to all celebrate Christmas! </p><p style="text-align: justify;">9. The Theatres finally re-opened as well, and after 2 years of having most of my plays and musicals cancelled and had a hefty amount of vouchers to use up, I really went back to back on booking and went to see; The Play That Goes Wrong, Come From Away, Midsummer's Night's Dream, Mary Poppins, Prince of Egypt, Hairspray, The Nutcracker </p><p style="text-align: justify;">10. I finally made it back to Zurich in September where I spent a couple of days and then my family decided to go to Germany as well for the weekend. We went to Freiburg and just spent the days wandering the city, eating <i>all the carbs </i>and drinking all the food. We had such amazing weather and it was so nice as it was over a year that I had seen my brother by that time as he hadn't come to Spain. </p><p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEg4USmEeEZd5lDeNq4ZgkEm0CvXZc3XPGfXWXq__cuC4Wc1xnlbTIwLBBbcbaOkEUKHXspY09kQlTRvyWG4TPDVfpEcPEl6cSOhfvftKCi_4dXy6xrW5EZ6i0zjHwukJK0hZ5mYQg1f6ktUxUILndgYDK-xgZEOw3pnKZLDqlG50c22DBAzA44VF91otQ=s2049" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2049" data-original-width="1536" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEg4USmEeEZd5lDeNq4ZgkEm0CvXZc3XPGfXWXq__cuC4Wc1xnlbTIwLBBbcbaOkEUKHXspY09kQlTRvyWG4TPDVfpEcPEl6cSOhfvftKCi_4dXy6xrW5EZ6i0zjHwukJK0hZ5mYQg1f6ktUxUILndgYDK-xgZEOw3pnKZLDqlG50c22DBAzA44VF91otQ=s16000" /></a></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><br /></p><p style="text-align: justify;">11. Bottomless Brunches were back. I actually lost count the number of bottomless brunches I did this year, but every single one ended and started in carnage. Daisy Green has become a new firm favourite along with Megan's which just keep all the drinks flowing a ridiculous amount. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">12. Finally we had my very belated (<i>2 years belated) </i>90's themed house party. Whilst it wasn't for my 'birthday' anymore, it just felt like such normality having everyone back together in the flat (although I did not appreciate the hangover and the mess the next day)</p><p style="text-align: justify;">13. The pandemic taught me one thing, if you can do it do it. Me and my friends were meant to go to Zurich together last year, but we had to postpone it when they closed their borders. However, we managed to do it and had the best weekend <i>ever. </i>We did a train trip journey which ended on top of the mountains (<i>pictured here</i> <i>with snow) </i>and the top part of the trip, a visit to the Lindt museum where we not only toured the factory, but actually took part in a chocolate making course. Honestly felt so sick after that day! </p><p style="text-align: justify;">14. I went wedding dress shopping with my cousin later in the year and we just had the best day ever. Not only did she say yes to the dress first day, but it was just the loveliest day to spend with my cousins/aunty and the other bridal party. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">15. I got to do an impromptu trip to Newcastle for work, and obviously it was lovely to be there for work, but the best part was getting to see my Northern friend who we haven't been able to see much due to COVID. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">16. I have to say I feel continuously so blessed to have been able to travel last year. My friends and I went on a boujee weekend trip on the Eurostar to Paris. We did the usual walking tour, Louvre, Eiffel Tower, copious wine and cheese and whilst the weather was horrific, the weekend was the best. Actually the best part was travelling on the Eurostar, something I've never done before as I've always flown, and we just drank and ate our way all the way to Paris! </p><p style="text-align: justify;">17. Whilst we were in Paris we did a day trip to Champagne. This itself deserves its own highlight. The tour picked us up from our hotel in Paris and literally drove us around to different Champagne houses including having a three course meal at one of them. When I say we drank our body-weight in champagne, we really did. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">18. Family. I was so lucky that although I couldn't see my parents for a large chunk of 2020, I had so many lovely memories last year seeing the rest of my family. From my Aunty and I doing a day trip to the Tower of London, lunches with my Grandma, meeting new little family members and cultural trips to Bletchley park, I was so grateful to see them when I could. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">19. Jingle Bell Ball. With live events finally back I got to do a work event which I had been wanting to do for years since starting my new role. I was <i>so </i>excited when we confirmed that it was going ahead and the line-up and whole weekend was just incredible to work on. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">20. Making it home for Christmas. Last year I wasn't able to go home for Christmas and spend it with my mum, dad and brother, and whilst I was super lucky that I spent it with my Aunty and Uncle, it felt so different and I just really missed being home. This year, as much as it was a complete and utter stress to get home, <i>waiting for the PCR, daily lateral flows just in case, will the borders close down etc etc </i>I made it and had such a lovely Christmas back in Zurich! </p><p style="text-align: justify;">21. And along came New Years! Last NYE was spent eating dominos in jogging bottoms and drinking prosecco at home, and actually it was a lot of fun, but this NYE I was determined to go out. Whilst we were originally supposed to go to Dublin (<i>no thanks to Aer Lingus and Dublin's strict rules) </i>we decided instead to go out in London, had a fab night out...and why yes, I did in fact catch 'Rona finally after 2 years, after a night out in Clapham. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">So my first week of 2022 has actually been spent inside isolating and whilst I'm thankful that I've not had to experience any symptoms for the moment, I miss fresh air...</p><p style="text-align: justify;">What was some of your highlights of 2021? We were in...out...in...out, makeup, no makeup, but I think I can gladly say along with everyone else, I am so glad to say goodbye to 2021. However, in the whole 30% of the time I wore makeup this year, I wanted to share 5 of my favourite products I used. </div></span><div style="text-align: justify;"><span><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span><b><i><a href="https://www.lookfantastic.com/olaplex-no.3-hair-perfector-100ml/11416400.html?affil=thggpsad&switchcurrency=GBP&shippingcountry=GB&shoppingpid=cyberweekendsave20off&thg_ppc_campaign=71700000088329921&adtype=&product_id=11416400&gclid=Cj0KCQiA8ICOBhDmARIsAEGI6o2f1gdS105F_Aqp5eG5re5-NDDtWU-8T_vXJsDLKJGHxVpLtDgXZzcaAsnSEALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds">Olaplex No3 Hair Perfector </a></i></b></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span><b><i><br /></i></b></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Considering not that many people saw my hair throughout 2021, I thought that this might be the year I would try to finally take care of my hair a little seeing as I colour it so often. I wondered out of all the Olaplex products which one to start off with and I heard so many people saying the No3 Hair Perfector was the one for those who colour their hair. I don't use this <i>that </i>often as firstly, it's hella expensive, but I find that putting it on my hair once a month for half a day (<i>on a day I don't have any zoom meetings preferably) </i>just keeps my hair soft, unfrizzy and less broken. Worth every £20! </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span><b><i><br /></i></b></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span><b><i><a href="https://www.cultbeauty.co.uk/bareminerals-gen-nude-eyeshadow-palette-2-neutral/11834256.html">bareMinerals Gen Nude Neutral Eyeshadow Palette* </a></i></b></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span>Frankly I thought I would be using my Too Faced Palette Natural Palette a lot more, but I find this six palette one the one I reach for everyday. It has the perfect everyday shadows for me including two of my favourite shimmers 'Believer' and 'Tribe'. The shade 'Native' is my go-to create shade and if I'm looking to darken it up a little more I go for a touch of 'Indie' too. I take this palette everywhere, it has the perfect mirror and it's actually getting to the point of being un-photographable because of how much I've hit pan on these shades. </span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span><b><i><a href="https://www.bareminerals.co.uk/makeup/lips/lipgloss/mineralist-gloss-balm/UK41700594101.html">bareMinerals Gloss Balms 'Ingenuity'* </a></i></b></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span><b><br /></b></span></div><div style="text-align: justify;">I was very kindly gifted quite a few of these gloss balms a while back and I can't stress enough how much I love them. The shades 'Ingenuity' and 'Clarity' are the best to layer on top of my favourite nude lipsticks. These are so soft and plumping and because they are more of a balm, they leave my lips feeling hydrated. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span><b><i><br /></i></b></span></div><div><span><b><i><a href="https://www.smashbox.co.uk/product/6038/49877/face/primer/photo-finish-primerizer?gclsrc=aw.ds&&gclid=Cj0KCQiA8ICOBhDmARIsAEGI6o2Idqg4MEk9upkU04mA1RvxdKcky0czv6KQi4CcvaDMvV5TJZ5p-fcaAhbHEALw_wcB">Smashbox Photofinish Primerizer </a></i></b></span></div><div><span><b><br /></b></span></div><div><span>This year for a friends wedding I was a bridesmaid for, I wanted to go for 'photo ready' makeup which involved it being quite heavy for photos, and I wanted to get a hydrated base product that would not only leave my skin feeling plump, hydrated and fresh, but also keep it fresh throughout the day. It baffles me. This year has gone disgustingly quick if you ask me. But if you, like me, haven't sorted out your Christmas presents yet, here are some easy-wins and easy to get hold of gifts! </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b><br /></b></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b>Jewellery </b></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">I find jewellery some of the easiest and best things to gift people. If you know what someone loves, I don't think you can really ever go wrong. I've got a couple of places I love buying jewellery from. Some of my favourites include <b><i><a href="https://www.danielwellington.com/uk/rings/?gclsrc=aw.ds&gclid=CjwKCAiA78aNBhAlEiwA7B76p_YtxaLLhFBhYBXTDBGsTYykwtkjYmQ7qPLYIKphsXbLiX3JNfSR8BoCmEUQAvD_BwE">Daniel Wellington</a></i></b><i>.</i> My Daniel Wellington watch is my favourite jewellery piece I wear everyday. It's super dainty and they have such an array of DW watches on their website. I also have a matching gold and rose gold bangle (<i>which I do actually wear together as the rose gold isn't that pink and looks more copper.)</i> I have my eyes on a DW gold ring that matches all my jewellery and whilst annoying they no longer have a Covent Garden store (<i>although I did see one in Paris when I was there on the weekend) </i>if you know what someone loves and their sizes it's super easy to buy. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Other places I love buying bits from include<a href="https://www.accessorize.com/uk/"> <i><b>Accessorize</b> </i></a>and<i><a href="https://www.orelia.co.uk/"> <b>Orelia</b></a>,</i> but I also love supporting smaller businesses so love searching on NotOnTheHighStreet and Etsy for some dainty pieces! </div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3d3oL7R9Yc4S8FpGO8SjarA14ZAuiV_EhgU9ZjQCITxSENdlsXkS-wZzGIPxVqZFZco9HYv_3FpyzokxjEqtc7QuuGGTLM6ImMVZHaAm4svArGej5znv16VMV8YfACyfx2jbpiyxsYqgZ/s1920/IMG_4084.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi3d3oL7R9Yc4S8FpGO8SjarA14ZAuiV_EhgU9ZjQCITxSENdlsXkS-wZzGIPxVqZFZco9HYv_3FpyzokxjEqtc7QuuGGTLM6ImMVZHaAm4svArGej5znv16VMV8YfACyfx2jbpiyxsYqgZ/s16000/IMG_4084.png" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div><b>Bodycare</b></div><div><br /></div><div>If you aren't big on gifting those big body-care gift sets that you aren't sure if any of them actually get used, I recommend buying some individual bits instead. I love gifting people 'sleep' products, so anything that essentially is lavender scented and aimed at giving people a better night's sleep. Some of my favourite products include; <a href="https://www.thisworks.com/products/stress-check-kind-hands?gclid=CjwKCAiA78aNBhAlEiwA7B76p05gJQNnjsheQUHLP8o9SEtxA3GhG7xYPdhOJlCvJuTe1tIWndjUshoCeykQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds" style="font-style: italic;"><b>This Works 'Stress Check Kind Hands'</b> </a><b style="font-style: italic;"><a href="https://www.thisworks.com/products/stress-check-kind-hands?gclid=CjwKCAiA78aNBhAlEiwA7B76p05gJQNnjsheQUHLP8o9SEtxA3GhG7xYPdhOJlCvJuTe1tIWndjUshoCeykQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds">Handcream</a> </b>(everyone loves and needs handcream in Winter/with all the sanitiser)<b style="font-style: italic;">,</b> <a href="https://www.lookfantastic.com/neom-perfect-night-s-sleep-pillow-mist-30ml/11173508.html?affil=thggpsad&switchcurrency=GBP&shippingcountry=GB&thg_ppc_campaign=71700000088329915&adtype=&product_id=11173508&gclid=CjwKCAiA78aNBhAlEiwA7B76pyTJYcC4CnZyvJ-gADOSk6zdRIRFbhIac3gUpXWXfke_3_f_3KRj1RoCNeMQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds"><b><i>Neom Perfect Night's Sleep Pillow Mist</i></b>,</a> and the <b><i><a href="https://www.lookfantastic.com/this-works-deep-sleep-heavenly-candle-220g/10524482.html?affil=thggpsad&switchcurrency=GBP&shippingcountry=GB&shoppingpid=SS_22_STASH_0504&thg_ppc_campaign=71700000088329915&adtype=&product_id=10524482&gclid=CjwKCAiA78aNBhAlEiwA7B76p2c7c5t0PHziNDz9c6c2RSVM2E1HuM6cYXDEoD4QJPGWYFnUPS9NYhoCfikQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds">ThisWorks Sleep Candles </a>. </i></b></div><div><b><i><br /></i></b></div><div>Another body care product I love gifting are Epsom salts. There are also loads of smaller businesses that do smaller Epsom Salts that make a fantastic stocking filler like these ones from <a href="https://www.notonthehighstreet.com/clarityblendaromatherapy" style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;">Clarity Blend Aromatherapy </a><b style="font-style: italic;"> </b>and these ones from<b><i><a href="https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/957093414/epsom-salt-gift-set-box-hamper-bath-body?click_key=2e435d28c5677031d0424aff0249bfadbf1e06f9%3A957093414&click_sum=987c80f7&ga_order=most_relevant&ga_search_type=all&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=bath+salts&ref=sr_gallery-1-1&organic_search_click=1&frs=1&pop=1"> London Supplements. </a></i></b></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwXkT9OJH2McEmb70ZOgH1nu9J9dGnAsefTAW4nOvwTr42tO3g6tCZ9s0KxWk60DAhC90Aq82Nq8ClP_4VVPPLEh04GNsuo8oPp721iXsfcCdA1vPmZbIt7kb0saXZVMHIP38V603UpiwL/s1920/IMG_4105.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwXkT9OJH2McEmb70ZOgH1nu9J9dGnAsefTAW4nOvwTr42tO3g6tCZ9s0KxWk60DAhC90Aq82Nq8ClP_4VVPPLEh04GNsuo8oPp721iXsfcCdA1vPmZbIt7kb0saXZVMHIP38V603UpiwL/s16000/IMG_4105.png" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyShLSUr23uZgfVmgmy0IUG-3dWM8o9jhvGxfh4YWYDD9n_vFWy26NbLJC3yMoNfKhlfod-p0kk_P2OHGYorPIwHwdAso6oNeDOOxFG2UAnoqBp3FWl8c7s-tv82mZq6sQ-vYRnhSKP4RX/s1920/IMG_4116.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjyShLSUr23uZgfVmgmy0IUG-3dWM8o9jhvGxfh4YWYDD9n_vFWy26NbLJC3yMoNfKhlfod-p0kk_P2OHGYorPIwHwdAso6oNeDOOxFG2UAnoqBp3FWl8c7s-tv82mZq6sQ-vYRnhSKP4RX/s16000/IMG_4116.png" /></a></div><br /><div><b>Haircare</b></div><div><b><br /></b></div><div>Personally I think haircare is something that a lot of people don't actually gift (<i>mainly because it can be difficult if you aren't sure on everyone's preference) </i>but this year I am actually going to be gifting some. For generic gifting that would work for all hair types, products like the <b><i><a href="https://www.lookfantastic.com/aveda-damage-remedy-daily-hair-repair-100ml/10861199.html">AVEDA Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair</a></i></b> is something that I actually received in a beauty advent calendar and have repurchased multiple times. A great gift to give to anyone who colours their hair or uses a lot of hair tools, another alternative is the <a href="https://www.lookfantastic.com/kerastase-resistance-ciment-thermique-150ml/10988048.html?affil=thggpsad&switchcurrency=GBP&shippingcountry=GB&shoppingpid=EXTRA15K&thg_ppc_campaign=71700000067178067&adtype=pla&product_id=10988048&gclid=CjwKCAiA78aNBhAlEiwA7B76p6q-PDDt-IB-BvqGqzfDwIGK8kxztDKNvKPNcMgj1cEYVtLkO_LyixoCPmkQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds"><b><i>Kérastase Resistance Ciment Thermique</i></b> </a>which is also brilliant for hair breakage. </div><div><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjr27zazeOiXyDrOF77V9Kwy2mckdU51sa2tDUeC6o-A233JbrPQgTbevIkYChxHhun_bonWZF0bOGpiLqrddwicR-APjaFGNtNq8HXYJ1W0UR9O-woGkX46-d07NjtZFiq70rBM2AVgfb2/s1920/IMG_4122.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjr27zazeOiXyDrOF77V9Kwy2mckdU51sa2tDUeC6o-A233JbrPQgTbevIkYChxHhun_bonWZF0bOGpiLqrddwicR-APjaFGNtNq8HXYJ1W0UR9O-woGkX46-d07NjtZFiq70rBM2AVgfb2/s16000/IMG_4122.png" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div>For anyone who colours their hair, specifically blondes, I love anything with purple shampoo. As it tends to be more on the pricier side, it's a nice gift to actually get someone. The <b><i><a href="https://www.kerastase.co.uk/haircare-products/range/blond-absolu/blond-absolu-masque-ultra-violet/KER_00001.html?dwvar_KER__00001_size=200ML#start=2&cgid=Hair-Mask">Kerastase Masque Ultra Violet</a></i></b> is a fantastic nourishing deep purple masque that removes any brassiness and yellow tones from dyed hair. I've actually got this mask for my mum this year. Also the <a href="https://www.boots.com/charles-worthington-colourplex-toning-ultra-violet-shampoo-takeaway-75ml-10282597?cm_mmc=bmm-buk-google-ppc-_-PLAs-_-Toiletries-_-UK_Smart_Shopping_Toiletries_Google&gclid=CjwKCAiA78aNBhAlEiwA7B76p7B8rYCweibzOWNplaXpYUA9VPyD4xHWyb0-8ergaoWwJPkvJmj-ARoCDsQQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds" style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;">Charles Worthington Take Away Colour Plex Toning Shampoo and Conditioner </a>make a fantastic stocking gift for those who love to go away and travel and can take away these on their holidays. </div><div><b><br /></b></div><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcZVlr96G1hHxOIa7s3Aqbwbx4JFac5kiS3yC1qKkxO5nqOKFaT-Bwy4H58RC1CqIGQJ2fs1NAnX9aEhHI3GdB8bsZas3jJRY5-eLxc-glg6KiwCt47QZYxhXL_FNuU8Y6RxZ4IfiF4bRO/s1920/IMG_4119.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgcZVlr96G1hHxOIa7s3Aqbwbx4JFac5kiS3yC1qKkxO5nqOKFaT-Bwy4H58RC1CqIGQJ2fs1NAnX9aEhHI3GdB8bsZas3jJRY5-eLxc-glg6KiwCt47QZYxhXL_FNuU8Y6RxZ4IfiF4bRO/s16000/IMG_4119.png" /></a></div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><b>Makeup </b></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">One of my favourite brands to gift for beauty and makeup has to be bareMinerals. Clinically shown to increase skin hydration by 53%, this is one of my favourites to add into my skin routine when I've added my oil to my routine. I won't ever change it, you can't convince my skin otherwise. It's such an easy go-to and I go through bottles and bottles of this stuff. I don't have necessarily super sensitive skin, but I have been known to break out or get allergic reactions to certain skincare, and although this is a super hydrating and thick moisturiser, I've never suffered anything with it. It's one of the ways to retain the natural moisture your skin products, and strengthens your skin barrier. I notice a massive difference in my skin (<i>in a negative way)</i> if I don't use this everyday. Whilst this is a pricier oil on the market, it's totally worth it. A rave review and one of KathleenLights favourite primers, I had been desperate to try this for ages. Now, I can't go a day without wearing it on my skin if I'm wearing foundation. Not only does it hydrate the skin, but I really do think this helps with evening out my skin so that my foundation sits smoothly, and keeps it lasting all day. I grew up being part of Girl Scouts (the American version of Brownies) and I used to be obsessed with the American snacks that it involved, and more specifically s'mores. Sorry but there is nothing better than the combination of chocolate, roasted marshmallows and biscuits. </div><div><br /></div><div>The 'original' s'mores calls for Graham Crackers and Hershey's Chocolate and whilst I probably could have gotten these, I've never been much of a fan and have swapped those out for my good old Cadbury's Dairy Milk and crushed Digestives. For the base of the cookie I used <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oa5g_3VXexQ">Cupcake Jemma Biscoff Filled New York Cookies</a>, but instead of using biscoff, swapped that out for marshmallows and dairy milk. </div><div><br /></div><div>Before starting, this recipe calls for the cookie dough to sit in the freezer for a minimum of 4 hours. I left mine overnight and it worked perfectly. </div><div><br /></div><div>Ingredients</div><br />190g Cold Butter <div>135g Caster Sugar</div><div>135g Light Brown Sugar 1</div><div>100g Dairy Milk Chocolate [kept in fridge] </div><div>50g Dark Chocolate [kept in fridge] </div><div>100g Crushed Digestives Biscuits </div><div>420g Plain Flour </div><div>10g Baking Powder </div><div>1 tsp Salt </div><div>2 Eggs <div>2 Bags of Mini Marshmallows (separate and use only white ones) </div><div><br /></div><div>Method </div><div><br /></div><div>1. Start by separating your mini marshmallows. I had a mixture of white and pink ones but only wanted to use white ones for this mixture so kept these in a separate bowl. </div><div><br /></div><div>2. Start by adding the cold butter (chopped up), brown and white sugar to an electric mixer. Mix for a couple of minutes (ensuring there are still large bits of butter visible but have lightly softened. </div><div><br /></div><div>3. Chop up your dairy milk and dark chocolate into chunks and add in and mix so it's evenly distributed. </div><div><br /></div><div>4. Add the flour, smashed digestives [try to crush these into small chunks rather than into fine powder]. Mix to combine.</div><div><br /></div><div>5. Using a fork whisk your two eggs before adding to the mixture. Add in the marshmallows and mix until all combined into a dough like mixture.</div><div><br /></div><div>6. Using a scale, measure each ball of dough into approx 100g and put into a plastic container to freeze overnight (try and make sure they aren't touching as they will stick together)</div><div><br /></div><div>7. One you're ready to bake them after they've been in the freezer, preheat your oven to 180 degrees. Ensure it's totally heated up. Place them on a baking tray (keeping them far apart to ensure they don't combine into one large cookie). </div><div><br /></div>10. Cook for 10 minutes until they have a light golden brown crunchy looking topping. <br /><br />11. Allow for them to cool and then devour the entire batch in 10 minutes from excitement. Or share with friends, that's okay too! These are best eaten a little bit warm for the real s'mores effect, but the marshmallow will still remain melted and gooey days after. <br /><br />**You can keep the cookie dough up to three months in the freezer meaning you can always fresh bake some whenever you fancy! <br /><div><br /></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvzIOISuCg67jwIQWt0nPVMQ1SVHaM4YG9SLFXs2e5dPYyTRtmMxhlgpX_OE0l6Ksdx2BgHN_wPHS99nMmbDqQh_L5nq65QjXIzh6iakE9hNucBjJk-6EAxgR1p2UTyLjx7HWsueVmTVD4/s1920/IMG_3770.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvzIOISuCg67jwIQWt0nPVMQ1SVHaM4YG9SLFXs2e5dPYyTRtmMxhlgpX_OE0l6Ksdx2BgHN_wPHS99nMmbDqQh_L5nq65QjXIzh6iakE9hNucBjJk-6EAxgR1p2UTyLjx7HWsueVmTVD4/s16000/IMG_3770.png" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEvTWqACrhyvw02cxX2RNgYgy8DeHoRGkKs5c_UtqCfZXrHB9qtwBBmAdYm7uHIKiEEIBZ27FbBr4YLNDksfSAEwCinmlD2Z375eQRV-99wLlorudwz9OJAeycsSDCWzOhhIdz_By1we-3/s1920/IMG_3759.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgEvTWqACrhyvw02cxX2RNgYgy8DeHoRGkKs5c_UtqCfZXrHB9qtwBBmAdYm7uHIKiEEIBZ27FbBr4YLNDksfSAEwCinmlD2Z375eQRV-99wLlorudwz9OJAeycsSDCWzOhhIdz_By1we-3/s16000/IMG_3759.png" /></a></div><br /><p></p></div></div>Iridescent Placeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18431798832975351014noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7518997597964601572.post-87982234651372580582021-09-28T09:41:00.001+01:002021-09-28T09:41:13.557+01:004 Haircare Products I've Been Loving <p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyTzQIqEEGiuxj56UTBDJGeAzFcp5Zibe7lyUqHKeLG2-pCsSnfvXcoXa230P49nmiSCP67fJQF0x1oQ7ZYWYIvAp0z_VuYEFDzV7gThe71FpeTrU5zmNTnhxz0M2Akx6mRUtw5dmFuPPk/s1920/IMG_3926.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyTzQIqEEGiuxj56UTBDJGeAzFcp5Zibe7lyUqHKeLG2-pCsSnfvXcoXa230P49nmiSCP67fJQF0x1oQ7ZYWYIvAp0z_VuYEFDzV7gThe71FpeTrU5zmNTnhxz0M2Akx6mRUtw5dmFuPPk/s16000/IMG_3926.png" /></a><br /><i><span></span></i></p><a name='more'></a><p></p><p><i><b><a href="https://www.allbeauty.com/gb/en/1232211-kerastase-blond-absolu-duo-set-bain-ultra-violet-shampoo-250ml-cicaflash-conditioner-250ml">Kerastase Bain Ultra-Violet Shampoo & Conditioner </a></b>- </i>After getting my hair done a while back I was really hoping to keep it looking brighter for longer so invested in this little duo. My flatmate who dyed her hair from brunette to blonde swore by it and my hairdresser uses it as well, so had to give it a try. I use this around twice or three times a week and leave both the conditioner and shampoo sitting on my hair for around 5 minutes each. It completely eradicates the yellow-tone to my blonde hair but doesn't leave it looking grey and dull. I also can't believe how soft the conditioner leaves my hair because usually they dry out my hair. </p><p>These purple shampoos can be quite spenny, but decided to invest in both the shampoo and conditioner and got it for a bargain price for £35 which was a really good idea so highly recommend taking a look for the best deal as you can get a better deal than buying them separately. </p><p><i style="font-weight: bold;"><a href="https://www.lookfantastic.com/aveda-damage-remedy-daily-hair-repair-100ml/10861199.html?affil=thggpsad&switchcurrency=GBP&shippingcountry=GB&shoppingpid=15ESTEE&thg_ppc_campaign=71700000026979856&adtype=pla&product_id=10861199&gclid=CjwKCAjw-sqKBhBjEiwAVaQ9ax6TLCI3Sb3IsfeWnNCUEIL-QzHpBuop60lTmiJHjJtGOT08TG7AFRoCJ1sQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds">Aveda Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair -</a> </i>I first received this in my ASOS beauty calendar last year and have been obsessed with it since. This product aims to provide visible repair from heat styling (<i>which seeing as I blowdry my hair everyday, is much needed). </i>I 100% see a big difference in my lack of split ends and overall quality of my hair ever since I've been using this product. The front of my hair has a lot less breakage and it leaves it feeling <i>so soft. </i></p><p><i style="font-weight: bold;"><a href="https://www.allbeauty.com/gb/en/1237885-olaplex-treatment-no-3-hair-perfector-100ml?abref=GoogleShoppingCsGoogleUkSandgoogleUkB&utm_source=pla&utm_medium=cpc&ref=%7Badtype%7D&utm_campaign=%28GB%3AWhoop%21%29_All_Products_-_ME_-_Brand&utm_adgroup=&gclid=CjwKCAjw-sqKBhBjEiwAVaQ9az_ozN3yMYgxMW7_CI09neZh9Sf5TXSuRpNBShRFkXZ5YjlL1ZnDshoCi4EQAvD_BwE">Olaplex Treatment No3 </a>- </i>Another hairdresser recommendation, I was so torn which Olaplex product to buy as there are just <i>so many </i>and to be frank I didn't actually know what half of them even did. A little bit of research into balayaged hair, I decided that the Bonding treatment No3 was the best for the overall care of my hair. They are so creamy and as you cans see I really love using those two shimmery eyeshadow shades as my everyday. I actually love mixing the two of these together, using the lighter shimmery one for the inner part of my eye-lid and then blending in the darker shimmery shade to the outer corners. Or many things in my case. My flatmate and I recently went to the shop to pickup some new bits (<i>due to unfortunate circumstances where a lot of our makeup was stolen</i>) and firstly, I wanted to say a massive thank you to Hailey and Matt who helped us and honestly were absolute gold when we were flapping around picking up bits. </p><p><b><i><a href="https://www.charlottetilbury.com/uk/product/beauty-light-wand-pillow-talk-light">Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Touch Light Wand 'Pillow Talk' </a>-</i></b> My flatmate previously had this and because I needed a new highlighter I thought I just had to get this. These light wants are almost liquid/cream highlighters but with colour undertones. Wee also got properly shade matched which was super helpful. I've been using this for a couple of days, and I have to say I'm not entirely sold which is so unlike me because I love all CT stuff. It's not the best formula for my dry skin and find that it disappears and gets patchy around my nose and chin throughout the day. I've tried it with a couple of primers, but am going to get it with my Smashbox Primerizer and see if that makes a difference. If you swear by this foundation, let me know the best primers/applications please! </p><p>We also got a some amazing little miniatures as well from the team who were just super kind including mini Magic Creams which I will absolutely be taking away with me at some point and the teeny flawless powder which are so handy to have in your handbag for emergency powder!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4_9Jkl_XMwpkLljymfWMjr5gjjhvyrkUOu6QXJFDYT3liKsfczN3NrnfzFn9FCLZnFQHK7WiWBVgPkymyZGTaJ8Y25olGU9rH47_Y537v3k7NpF0KKhS1FQMxsTY1T5bjPzuPZ5N4pRLx/s1920/IMG_3905.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4_9Jkl_XMwpkLljymfWMjr5gjjhvyrkUOu6QXJFDYT3liKsfczN3NrnfzFn9FCLZnFQHK7WiWBVgPkymyZGTaJ8Y25olGU9rH47_Y537v3k7NpF0KKhS1FQMxsTY1T5bjPzuPZ5N4pRLx/s16000/IMG_3905.png" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcEXIoCA8Ux7UKpJgYwdfYA48Ohx6rFjxY8qxh7d1O0eD8SPOGLY-FmGgGRYTDt_lvL1CMTSDGBA-36hD4vV7UoS9_6H044QplOh_WpTwVgZAibSENsfKTLfcfQK-wvM1c7ok1KJ191Tx4/s1920/IMG_3901.jpeg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcEXIoCA8Ux7UKpJgYwdfYA48Ohx6rFjxY8qxh7d1O0eD8SPOGLY-FmGgGRYTDt_lvL1CMTSDGBA-36hD4vV7UoS9_6H044QplOh_WpTwVgZAibSENsfKTLfcfQK-wvM1c7ok1KJ191Tx4/s16000/IMG_3901.jpeg" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNrUf-Zj5rlDTsTqM8rbUbt9dcxW12b9rw2c_PbTt1hwaRJFBZjOEV_c1s-5xwWYPyXN6l63GzV0dauKAlTZU6vkxNgbdqlKQt0Mo_DZUdUXwf7DtNziBq5Rmxmvy1_Y1NmNUWm5S_aBL5/s1920/IMG_3909.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1280" data-original-width="1920" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNrUf-Zj5rlDTsTqM8rbUbt9dcxW12b9rw2c_PbTt1hwaRJFBZjOEV_c1s-5xwWYPyXN6l63GzV0dauKAlTZU6vkxNgbdqlKQt0Mo_DZUdUXwf7DtNziBq5Rmxmvy1_Y1NmNUWm5S_aBL5/s16000/IMG_3909.png" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br /></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">Left to Right: Light Wand 'Pillow Talk', Eyes to Mesmerise 'Champagne', Lipstick 'Pillow Talk' </div><p></p>Iridescent Placeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18431798832975351014noreply@blogger.com12tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7518997597964601572.post-12832917943218670782021-08-23T09:33:00.006+01:002021-08-23T09:33:58.456+01:00A Day Out in Whitstable <p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwIpPGkmC20K-v89i214WuzlkUV4Sqxr0VIY22WEkMecMkrnq7TiExAHAR7aHDqhp167BmrRCGrews9s014TSJH9KrjTPCD6PSwAkkrZ4-rRrTb4-2kMh29i7qfRY9Z6fVBVxwdivKua2N/s1920/IMG_3843.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwIpPGkmC20K-v89i214WuzlkUV4Sqxr0VIY22WEkMecMkrnq7TiExAHAR7aHDqhp167BmrRCGrews9s014TSJH9KrjTPCD6PSwAkkrZ4-rRrTb4-2kMh29i7qfRY9Z6fVBVxwdivKua2N/s16000/IMG_3843.png" /></a></p><p><span></span></p><a name='more'></a><p></p><p>I've barely been to the British seaside, which is incredibly odd seeing as I absolutely LOVE being by the sea and day trips. So this weekend, my flatmate and I went off on a day trip to Whitstable, Kent for a bit of R&R fresh air. </p><p>We took the train from Victoria station early in the morning which was about an hour and a half, so all in all, from London Bridge took us about 2 hours to journey in which really wasn't that long. First things first, we headed down to the harbour to try and get our bearings of the place, Afterwards I actually ended up meeting up with an old colleague who moved to Whitstable for a cup of tea and catch-up up by the castle which was lovely. </p><p>We didn't have extensive plans in Whitstable, but instead just planned to meander. For lunch we headed to <i style="font-weight: bold;"><a href="https://www.thelobstershack.co.uk/">The Lobster Shack Whitstable </a>. </i>Between us we had a plate of scampi and chips and mushy peas (obvs) and chose the Chorizo Lobster with chips and did a bit of tapas sharing style. The scampi was delicious as was the mushy peas. Truth be told, the Lobster was a bit overcooked in the middle and whilst the claw meat was delicious, it was a bit of a shame seeing as it's well known for being a Lobster shack and the actual amount of meat wasn't massive either. I would suggest the scampi though 100% as it was delish. </p><p><br /></p><p><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzj4cJosKkJcXpheCsuyHzSui6swIrrGvHfkER4tIj_rQviKtwrumYeMUUN2n-o7RuS0Q1W6uTEKhEt17Nvbi_HSHWDEooIkZIzso9tIIsY9IIQ_UrkvIpxuIh1uzByLMvHhS3z1yzXCE8/s1920/IMG_3825.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjzj4cJosKkJcXpheCsuyHzSui6swIrrGvHfkER4tIj_rQviKtwrumYeMUUN2n-o7RuS0Q1W6uTEKhEt17Nvbi_HSHWDEooIkZIzso9tIIsY9IIQ_UrkvIpxuIh1uzByLMvHhS3z1yzXCE8/s16000/IMG_3825.png" /></a></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><p style="text-align: left;">After that we took a long walk down to Tankerton which has loads of gorgeous little beach huts and you could see so many people who had either rented them or visited their own celebrating birthdays in there which was just so lovely. After our long walk, we decided to head back into town, and get ourselves an ice cream. We went to <b><i><a href="https://www.facebook.com/lottiessweetcreams/">Lottie's Sweeet Creams</a></i></b> because it had such amazing variety, including Biscoff flavoured Ice Cream. Obviously I had to get a very <i>extra </i>Cookie Dough ice cream in a snazzy cone and we enjoyed it on the beach, albeit right before it chucked it down with rain. </p><p style="text-align: left;">We also headed down the highstreet where I couldn't not get a sale purchase from Joules! By 5pm we were ready to get back to London! I would love to go visit more seaside towns so if anyone has any must-go recommendations close to London please let me know in thee comments below! </p><p style="text-align: left;">Have you ever been to Whitstable? </p></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; I took to Insta and asked the people, and <b><i><a href="http://www.daniellesbeautyblog.com/">Danielle's Beauty Blog</a></i></b> came back and reminded me of this foundation! I didn't do <i>mass </i>research into it, but decided to get this one off Amazon as it had great reviews and I've been loving using it. I use it around two to three times a week. and it works really well for when you've got a headache, or weirder when you've spent all day with a ponytail and need a bit of a massage. </p><p style="text-align: justify;">I got this <i style="font-weight: bold;"><a href="https://www.psychicsisters.co.uk/products/rose-quartz-mini-roller">Physic Sisters Rose Quartz Mini Roller</a> </i>in my ASOS beauty calendar and I tell you what, in this heat, this is <i>glorious. </i>I pop mine in the fridge door and when my face is feeling a tad puffy, or just generally boiling from this heatwave. I use this pretty much all over my face, but I have decided I am desperate to try and buy a gua sha as well for my full face, so any recommendations please do let me know! </p><p style="text-align: justify;"><b><i><a href="https://www.kikocosmetics.com/en-gb/accessories/brushes/brush-cleanser/BRUSH-CLEANSING-PAD/p-KA000000007001B">KIKO Brush Cleansing Pad</a></i></b> - I purchased this a while ago and not only is it an amazing bargain, but they are <i>so </i>helpful when it comes to cleaning. I used to honestly only use the back of my hand and some shampoo to clean my brushes and it's no surprise that that didn't really deep clean the very deep bristles of my brushes, so I'm loving using this a lot more to clean my brushes. It's easy to use as it's got two different types of patterned ridges on it which help you get deep into your brushes!</p><p></p><div style="text-align: justify;">Let know in the comments below some beauty tool must-haves, like I said I need a Gua Sha recommendation! </div><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnSU2PAGY-zXr1MCQV8btmKDjnzVRRPRNFOCuwjHar_o2o4hCpI92zZl_j_X4nYGuM1MMqE5k9D_pA2kjk5wD9ENBv-SIiC7yfBcAK7VG6RPaeMdcdW_fZGOfq2P6xFNTGxdGHXdO_0dpD/s1920/IMG_3667.png" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em; text-align: center;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1920" data-original-width="1280" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnSU2PAGY-zXr1MCQV8btmKDjnzVRRPRNFOCuwjHar_o2o4hCpI92zZl_j_X4nYGuM1MMqE5k9D_pA2kjk5wD9ENBv-SIiC7yfBcAK7VG6RPaeMdcdW_fZGOfq2P6xFNTGxdGHXdO_0dpD/s16000/IMG_3667.png" /></a><p></p>Iridescent Placeshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18431798832975351014noreply@blogger.com4
