My Everyday Makeup

1) The first thing I do before putting on any make-up is shower. During my shower routine (without TMI), I use the Simple Kind To Skin Refreshing Facial Wash Gel everyday. I never used to wash my face with cleanser as I didn't really think it made a difference. Was I wrong! After using this I barely get any spots and furthermore it makes my make-up application more flawless. I have really sensitive skin and if I used any moisturisers or cleansers, I either broke out or had horrendous rashes (TMI?). With Simple's face wash, there are no harsh ingredients to make my skin break out and I am clearly seeing a difference.

2) I've been using the Olay double action nourishing and regeneration night cream moisturiser for just over a year now as my friend recommended it after complaining that I had really dry patchy skin (hmm lovely). Ever since using this moisturiser every night before I go to sleep as well as in the morning after I've showered I haven't been experiencing those dry patches. It seeps into my skin quickly enough to be able to put my make-up on straight after. Love Love Love!

3) Next is my trusty new Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in the shade Mont Blanc. I apply this with the Real Techniques Beauty Blender from the back of my hand. I've found the best way to apply this foundation is little by little to ensure that it doesn't look too cakey. I have a full review of the foundation here!

4) After applying my foundation I apply the Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer, in the shade ivory, to the dark circles under my eyes, on any red blemishes and on any spots. I love this concealer because it blends so easily and really brightens up my skin.

5) Next I apply the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in peach glow with the real techniques face powder brush. This not only sets my foundation but stops me from looking oily throughout the day, It's really important to tap off any excess powder before applying to your face otherwise it looks overly cakey.

6) Next it's time to contour! Using the real techniques Buffing brush, I contour the hollows of my cheeks with the Sleek Face Contour Kit in Light. The contour kit includes both the bronzer and highlight which is absolutely beautiful. Hilariously, before I even knew the concept of make-up, I used to apply foundation and that's it which left me with a pale and sickly looking face (beautiful).

7) I then apply my blusher which is the beautiful and stunning, I Heart Blush Hearts Blushing Heart. This is a great dupe for those who don't want to pay £25 for the Too Faced Sweetheart blusher. Yet again, not using a brush for it's real use, I apply it with the Contour brush as the blush brushes tend to be too big for my small cheek apples. I was so pleasantly surprised when I first bought this because the pigmentation is so good it really does last all day. 

8) For the eyes I start off with the Rimmel Exaggerate Waterproof Eye Definer. I'm absolutely useless when it comes to liquid or pencil liner and a crayon is the only alternative and it's so creamy it applies so easily.

9) I don't think your make-up look is complete without mascara. I finally purchased the beautiful Too Faced, Better Than Sex Mascara which was one of the best purchases in my life. I gave a long review on the beautiful mascara here!

10) Lastly, the lips. My go-to lip product was the clinique chubby stick in curviest caramel, but I'm so sad to say that i've run out of this beautiful product! Therefore, i found an alternative, although not as moisturizing, I bought the Rimmel London Kate Lasting Finish lipstick in shade 03. I have to say I wear this colour nearly everyday as I tend to stay away from dramatic red lips as I find it a very hard upkeep during the day to maintain.
