I never really bulk by makeup and when it comes to purchasing it, I find that once I find my "everyday look" I wear it everyday. I do mean, everyday. I never really understood the point in buying four slightly different shades of nude lipsticks, sixteen blushes where they vary from peach to well...pink and having twelve bronzes...I mean how different can brown actually be? That is until well...I started becoming a tad obsessed with makeup and the other week I went on a bit of a spending spree on www.feelunique.com and treated myself to some products that were one hundred percent necessary.
This was the second priciest item that I bought in the haul, which to be fair as it was £13 isn't too bad. This blusher is so pigmented so you have to be quite careful and use a light hand when applying it. There is a faint shimmer to it which makes it the perfect summer blusher.
Secondly I picked up the Maybelline New York Brow Drama Sculpting Brow Mascara 7.6ml in the shade Dark Blonde. I have heard so many people raving about this brow mascara and seeing as I've never tried a brow mascara before I thought it would be a great investment. My everyday Soap and Glory Archery pen actually dried out so I was in need of a replacement. When first using it, I felt like it was a bit greasy but if you are careful with applying it, it acts sort of as a eyebrow gel too which is basically two products in one. £4.99
I picked up my trusty Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer 7ml but this time in the colour True Ivory. I've been wanting a darker shade of concealer for my blemishes £5.49
I then picked up the much loved Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in the shade fair. I use this as a highlighter on the bridge of my nose and more importantly under my eyes to brighten them up and I really have seen a difference when using this product. £4.19
This bronzer has been raved about from bloggers, vloggers, beauty reviewers and my friends. So naturally the Bourjois Délice de Poudre Bronzing Powder 16.5g in the shade Gold slipped its way into my basket. Woops! I am now totally obsessed. My Rimmel bronzer has been completely replaced and basically this mildly makes me look tanned. £7.99
KathleenLights mentioned the Clinique Cheek Pop 3.5g in the shade Peach Pop in one of her videos and how beautifully pigmented it was. This was actually my most expense purchase of the haul at £16.50 and although it is a very small product, the swatches and pigmentation is so beautiful I don't feel at all guilty for buying it. It takes a bit of build up, unless you want a very natural look, but when you do it is stunning.
My last purchase was the Bourjois Colorband 2-in-1 Eyeshadow and Liner 9g in the shade Rose Fauviste T04. I have recently started wearing eyeshadow whenever I am wearing quite a simple outfit to make it look like I've put a bit more effort in myself. I do love pallettes but I sometimes find that it is easier to blend powder eyeshadows ontop of a creamy/pencil eyeshadow as it lasts a lot longer. The Rose Fauviste is very light and subtle. £5.99
