Here I Am.....

Gosh it seems like so long ago now that I wrote my lifestyle blog post update on me heading back to University. I wanted to give an update as you were all so sweet in your comments wishing my luck and I really appreciate it - you all calmed my nerves!

Being back here has been STRANGE. I'm back to relying on my parents for money (student loan why you so small?), purchasing countless bottles of washing up liquid...and other bottles... and wondering why my voice has disappeared. Freshers' week was a crazy time, I went out far too much but had an amazing time out with all my friends who I've missed dearly. There was Krept & Konan, Milkshake, Headphone Disco, Popworld and Example and lots of lazy days in bed.  Is it sad to have Freshers' Flu if you're a final year? I met up with some old friends who I haven't seen for a while and even bumped into my ex quite a few times, which hey, guess what, wasn't as awkward or weird as I thought it would be!  I've joined a few societies, even hit the gym three times this week (I know - went a bit cray didn't I?) It's been productive/unproductive depending on how I'm feeling and I've even had some successful course meetings with my program directors.

I've started my classes which was actually thoroughly interesting and I'm becoming a lot more settled here. I've got quite a bit going on as I'm now my course representative, a committee member for a society and to top it off am looking for a new part-time job closer to my accommodation. Stress!
My new flatmates are really lovely and friendly which is always a bonus!

I just wanted to send you all hugs and let you know I'm okay, because I know I sounded a little stressed out and once again thank you all for being so kind and helping me relax. Next thing I know I'll be standing on the steps of Guildford Cathedral with my cap and gown and *fingers crossed* my diploma!

  1. It's definitely not sad to have freshers flu in your final year, I didn't even go out during "freshers" this year and somehow ended up catching it. It's always the way! The last two years have gone so quickly, I can't believe in a matter of months I'll (hopefully) be graduating too. Good to hear everything is going well for you! x

  6. No way is it bad to get freshers flu in third year, it's a sign you had a bloomin' good freshers week!
I can relate with you on so much of what you have said as I've just gone into my third year too. It's good to hear that it's all going well, and enjoy it, lets make the most of final year!
