My Favourite Drugstore Concealers

With late nights studying, late nights out and breakouts (soooo attractive), concealer is fast becoming my best friend. Sorry Emily. It's no surprise that a large amount of my makeup collection is drugstore products (stingy student) and my concealer collection is no exception (ha rhyme!). Although I do own a fair amount of concealers, I've sussed out my favourite three for all of you lovely readers to gawp at! Enjoy!

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair 1:

This is probably one of the most raved about drugstore concealers out there and was my go-to product for a very long time. I use this on days where my under eyes are completely drawn and black where I resemble something out of The Walking Dead - beautiful. This has such great coverage and the shade Fair 1 is extremely light and really brightens my eyes. I love using this to highlight the bridge of my nose too. Because it is so light, it's great for any redness around my nose which is very common during the winter months, and we wonder why we love this time of year? I used to use this under my eyes daily, but because it can crease I only use it on desperate zombie days, when I'm obviously looking my fittest.

Maybelline instant Anti-Age Effect Concealer in 01 Light:

Another one of those "yes we know how good it is" products. I was a little apprehensive when I first bought this and couldn't see how this would match to my collection concealer at all. I was wrong. This has fast become my favourite concealer for my under eyes on a normal daily basis as it's so moisturizing and doesn't crease at all. Although it is quite yellow rather than brightening, it does conceal and lasts all day which is a happy little bonus for me. I've heard a lot of people who don't like the sponge applicator, but I'm actually quite a fan of the whole packaging. I feel as if I will get the most out of the product in it too.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in True Ivory:

Redness and my eyes aren't unfortunately the only thing that need concealing.  Both of the products above are either too light or don't have enough coverage for the hefty little spots that sometimes appear on my face - gosh Caroline. This concealer is the perfect colour to match my skin and therefore doesn't highlight my spots but rather....you know....conceals them?

I will be perfectly honest here. I do not own a high end concealer. I just.....don't see the point? I've heard all the rave about the Nars and the Mac concealers but I think, if a drugstore one which only costs a fiver can get rid of the grossness, why would I spend such a ridiculous amount, especially as I basically go through an entire bottle a week - jokes. I would love to hear from you though if you do think the high end concealers totally trump drugstore ones and if so, which one!?

  9. Omg, yes, yes yes!! I swear by the above concealers, especially the Maybelline concealer. My other total favorite is the L'oreal True Match I use it for highlighting/contouring.
