10 Things You Know When You're On A Spending Ban

Blogging had provided me with so many great things including the ability to justify purchasing new products and trying them out. Unfortunately with this comes my inability to control my spending habits. I've been put on a spending ban by myself before but with my savings account being easily linked to my card, it was too easy to delve into. This time it's real. I have sent it all to my dad to hold on to and am on a strict no-spending ban. So here it is. 10 things you know when you're on a spending ban.

1. Having to go cold turkey off Youtube Haul videos incase they show you something inevitably cute that you just need to own.

2. Bringing your own tea to a coffee meet up with your friends because £3 for a Chai Latte is practically extortion when you're on a spending ban.

3. Wondering how many days you can go without buying milk. 89p is also extortion.

4. Questioning all those moisturizers you purchases and never finished. I bet they could pay for a Wagamamas.

5. Wondering if it's actually a crime to buy a top, wear it once, and return it.

6. Creating a wishlist of all the things you can't have and realizing it's just absolute torture.

7. Dealing with another night of baked beans on toast, just so you can afford to replace your eyeliner

8. Refusing to visit FeelUnique or Sephora because of their 'Just Arrived' section being so full of lovely goodness

9. Hoping your birthday will somehow come round a few months early so you can ask for #AllTheGiftcards to justify any spending

10. Creating complicated algorithmic and mathematical solutions to see how much money you could save this week if you just had no social life and retreated into a cave.

  4. Loved this post! I'm going to have to stop cutting out Boots trips and Space NK splurges soon, as my boyfriend and I are saving up to buy a house! I always make the mistake of online window shopping when I'm trying to save, though and it only makes the withdrawal symptoms a whole lot worse!
