Drugstore Haul & Review

Hahaha, oh goodness me the irony of posting this after only just posting a "my spending ban" post. Oops. In all fairness, these purchases have been made over the course of a couple of months, prior to my spending ban. Therefore it doesn't count. Cool. Glad we cleared that up.

Of course the one time I'm absolutely stinged for cash, is the time that my mascara runs out. Basically was an absolute tragedy. I picked up the Maybelline Push Up Drama Mascara Very Black as it seemed like a more sensible and cheaper alternative to repurchasing my much loved Too Faced Better than Sex mascara. So far I have been very impressed with this mascara. I'm one of those people who isn't too bothered by mildly clumpy mascara, obviously not where I have massive black bits clinging onto my eyes, but I'm not a fan of spider webbed eyelashes either. This mascara dries really well, gives both a curl, length and volume. Totally loving this so far! Hey, who knows, maybe I will be a drugstore convert!

I'll be perfectly honest here. I don't particularly know why I picked up these KIKO products as they weren't exactly something I wanted that desperately or needed at the time. But alas, my friend was running late for our coffee catch-up and therefore I popped into the shop and came out with these two products. I picked up firstly the KIKO Cream Crush Lasting Colour Eyeshadow in the shade 01 in hopes that it would match up to my Maybelline colour tattoos. So far so good! This hmakes for the perfect cream base for my Wet 'n Wild Walking on Eggshells palette and has been a real go to for me. I then picked up a KIKO Water Eyeshadow in the shade 208 after hearing KathleenLights talk about how gorgeous they are. She was right. Pretty darn gorgeous. I have to say, I should have really picked up a shade that wasn't gold as I have a lot of gold eyeshadows, but nonetheless the pigmentation is stunning. Also can we talk about that packaging?!

Oh look nude lipsticks. Because who the hell needs more nude lipsticks. Not me. In all fairness, but not really they were on offer. I had my eye on the L'Oreal Paris Color Riche Exclusive Nudes for quite a while now. More specifically the shades, Barely Golden By Eva Longoria and Barely Greige By JLo. These are a bit more opaque of a lipstick than I thought they would be, but they make for such gorgeous everyday basic nude lipsticks. Although I was a little bit disappointed that I didn't magically turn into looking like Eva but ya know, what can you do? The packaging is absolutely divine and I love the indentation of "Loreal" on the lipsticks themselves, ugrh I wish all lipsticks did that!

Left To Right: Eva's Nude, J Lo's Nude, KIKO Water Eyeshadow 208, KIKO Cream Crush 01
So there we have it! A couple of bits I've picked up over the course of my pre-spending ban! I would love to know if you've picked up anything recently (leave your drugstore haul links below!) as once I'm off this spending ban, Boots and Superdrug await!
