Life Lately

It feels like forever since I did my last chatty blog post and seeing as today was a very significant day, I feel as if I would step out of my usual beauty blog posts and catch up.

My dissertation is finally done. At 9:30am this morning my 12,000 word dissertation, worth a whole three modules of my final year, was handed in. I have never been so happy in my whole entire life. Although I don't feel as if I was overly stressed (surprisingly) when it came to my dissertation, it surely loomed over my head since early December! After my placement industrial year at NBCUniversal, my amazing team made me realize my passion for public relations, and in turn, I revolved my dissertation on this. To anyone who is doing their dissertation now, my advice is simply; keep going. At this point, that is all you can do. It's the best feeling ever when it's handed in and you should be proud no matter what grade you receive!  So excuse me whilst I give myself a massive pat on the back for actually completing this darn thing!

What's even more exciting is that I handed my dissertation in early. Mainly due to it being my 22nd birthday in two days. TWO DAYS. I feel so flipping old. I'm so so excited to have my closest uni friends who I've only just recently realised how lucky I am. I mean don't get me wrong, I've always known that I've had amazing friends. But I've become very reflective recently. They are so supporting and honestly, I couldn't be more grateful. I hope they know that. Guys if you're reading, I promise I haven't turned into a massive softy. So tomorrow I will be going out to my union, celebrating in what can only be described as "not-style" and spending my actual birthday hungover in bed. Brilliant plans! As long as I don't wake up the morning in my birthday in a puddle of my boyfriend's (now ex) pee, it can't be any worse than 21? Lols, I can just see the comments now...  I've done some amazing things at 21, and although I don't want to just do the whole blah blah reflecting thing, but I think 22 will be a good'n.

Lastly, Sunday I go back home for the Easter break for a whole month. Not only am I so excited to be going home to see my family and of course, my cats, I'm bringing along two of my university friends with me to show them all things Switzerland. I'm excited to meet up with a couple of my home friends next week for drinks and really just celebrate my dissertation being finished. Oh and perhaps look for jobs. Meh.

So apologies for the non-beauty post today, but I felt as if a couple of big things were happening recently and they were something I wanted to share! Sunday I promise I will be back with a makeup themed blog post! I hope you have all had a wonderful week! I'd love to know one thing this week that was either meaningful or made you smile!
