5 Product Makeup Look

I've seen this post floating around for quite a while and have been itching to do it myself. Mainly because I can't imagine only using 5 products on my face. I was actually quite surprised I managed to attempt a half-acceptable makeup look with just five products, without blush, bronzer, highlight and eyeshadow. It was a tough decision.

I started off with a medium to heavy coverage foundation, The Vichy Dermablend Foundation* in Opal. I wanted something that would cover up any blemishes and under eye circles as I won't be using concealer wah. I didn't want to apply a coverage too thick as it would look unnatural if I weren't able to give it back some life with bronzer and blush, so only applied one layer.

I then of course powdered, which is a must step for me as otherwise my foundation will not stick. I applied the Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in transparent.

Can't believe I was already two products down. Eyebrow filling is an absolute must. Ever since the woman who did them last butchered my left eyebrow, I've been letting them grow out, but this also means I can't get away with not filling them in. I opted for my Wet 'n Wild Eyebrow Kit. It's easy and quick to use, which is perfect if you're looking for a five product easy makeup look.

I'm one of those people who also can't be without eyeliner. Some people can get away with it, but I generally think I look about 13 years old and my eyes look so small! So my trusty Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Eyeliner which has great pigmentation and I think really opens up my eyes. I do think this eyeliner works best with an eyeshadow underneath, but alas, I can't afford not to wear mascara. So my Benefit Roller Lash was my last product I chose.

I have to say, I'm impressed I managed five products. I do feel as if my face looks a little flat, and needs some more colour (I actually pinched my cheeks to see if that would help) but if in a rush or someone who doesn't like wearing a lot of thick makeup, five products may just work!

I would love to know what your five essential products would be to feature on your face? Have you done this post too? Link it below!

    1. I know what you mean, concealer was the one product that I found really hard to let go, if I hadn't needed eyeliner, I would've chosen concealer! I mean those eye bags aren't cute! xx

  6. I'd probably also skip the lipstick, I might have a tough time choosing between foundation or concealer, then I think I would set my face with a light bronzer or something - I just NEED some colour.
Then something on the brows, mascara as well, and maybe after all I'll go for blush as the fifth one...

    1. Lipstick is usually a must for me, but I thought I would embrace my natural colour in aid of having eyeliner haha! I have to say I do wish I could have used bronzer, as I think I do look a little paler than usual, but can get away with it because of the freckles! xx

  7. You're so pretty and these five products produce such a lovely, simplistic make-up look, great for spring and summer. I need a couple of months to think about what five products I'd use haha!
