Products I've Forgotten About

Being a makeup hoarder definitely has it's perks. All those blusher options, highlighters and bronzers, there are so many options. Unfortunately with so many options I am sad to say that there are times where products do get forgotten and fall to the bottom of the boxes. By all means this does not mean I don't love the products. Not at all, some were considered my holy grail at one point, but will be making it my mission to be bringing out these products more and more.

Firstly is the Revolution Ultra Blush Palette 'Golden Sugar'. I remember this being one of the products I was so excited about when trying out MUR, I mean how can you not? With a mix of bronzers, highlighters and blushers, you're pretty much all set. I don't actually know what the reason is to why I've stopped using this palette, I guess it's quite a chunky thing and when I'm in a rush in the morning it's easier to grab the stuff that actually fits in my acrylic makeup drawer. Also I do like to bring a couple of the products with me that I used in the morning, to top up with, and this is not one of those palettes! That being said, now that we've come closer to Summer time in the UK (I bet it'll be raining like hell the day I post this) I can get away with wearing the lighter pink shades whereas I wouldn't particularly say this is a "winter palette." I would also say that another reason is that the bronzer is quite dark, and as I'm quite fair, I can pretty much get away with using this as a contour kit during the Summer time when I'm sporting a tan (she says when she's pale af ).

Okay I don't want to be really annoying but my Maybelline The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara has pretty much taken a back seat in my makeup routine. If you're a regular reader you'll remember how this was raved about in numerous favourite posts and on social media, but I'm sad to say my other Maybelline mascara, the Lash Sensation Mascara has pretty much topped it. I much prefer it for my everyday and night out looks, so I'd probably only be wearing the Falsies one if I'm doing a quick run to the shops etc?

The Tarte Maracuja Cheek Tint Stain Blush Sheer Red has definitely taken a back seat as I haven't spoken about this product for an age. My cousin came into my room the other day and had a little rifle through my stuff and was so scared by this product, which I totally get. It's quite an intimidating blush as it's gel and for me, cream and gel products don't particularly work the best as they tend to shift my foundation underneath a lot. I'm also not the biggest fan of the shade, it's more of an Autumnal/Winter shade, as I don't particularly wear red-toned blushers during the Summer. We'll see how I feel about this product then shall we? I also think these may be discontinued so hence why there is no link available!

The Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation has kind of come to a sad end in which there is a tiny bit left in the bottle of a product I'm not quite sure if I like or not. I was an avid lover of the Nars Sheer Glow foundation during the winter time, but my friend recommended I give the Luminous one I try. I'm sad to have to admit that I'm just not the biggest fan? It clings onto all my dry patches and sinks into every pore and crevice on my face. Okay probably the correct beauty word is "fine lines" but this foundation makes me look as if I have crevices. Unfortunately I'm a sucker for a good flatlay and finishing the foundation ultimately means it not being aesthetically please god I'm such a loser. So the reason to forgetting about it? It sucks. Meh.

I feel as if this bronzer was a cult favourite for all beauty kinds. Now that I've started to get into makeup a lot more, and becoming a bit too spendy to the dismay of Lloyds Bank I've kind of started to shove this to the bottom of my everyday makeup products. This is probably the first bronzer I actually ever picked up (obviously have repurchased multiple times otherwise gross) but now with my go-to Urban Decay bronzer has made it's way into my collection, I have preferred a much more of a matte and lighter toned bronzer than a shimmer one. Alas, now that we have reached Summer time...or should do by now, I'm going to start using this a lot more as I definitely cannot get away with that shimmer and shade in the winter time! Plus it smells of chocolate still. So, yeah.

So there we have it, a couple of products that I've forgotten about. Some I love and don't know why the hell they aren't being used on a day to day basis, Golden Sugar, you're definitely coming back to the makeup base asap. However, after raiding my stash I can remember why a couple of these are just going to sit there sadly! Let me know if you have any long-lost forgotten products in the comments below and what your tips are to making sure to give all your products equal amounts of love!

  2. I feel EXACTLY the same about the NARS foundation, I wore it for my friends wedding (keeping it for special occasions) and it made me look wrinkly and showed up all my lines/crevices ;) all over my face *vom* I always felt like it didn't stay on for very long without sliding off! I really must try Sheer Glow though!

    1. To be fair, mine sits right underneath one of my palettes in my drawers and therefore it's so hidden I forget to bring it out! Unorganized messes! xx

  10. I love rediscovering forgotten beauty products as well, because it forces you to experiment with what you already have rather than go out and buy the next new thing.
