The Body Shop 3 for 2 Haul

Okay so you're probably like, Caroline what the hell, it's been a week since you've posted on your blog. Unfortunately something happened-  my camera broke. I was so gutted and it's going to take 10 days to fix. So bare with my whilst I use my iphone (thank god for the 6s quality). I also just moved out of my uni flat, and have had the busiest week ever and have just had zero time, and cannot apologize enough. But I am now back and ready to give you more and more blog posts that I've had planned for ages!

Now onto the blog post I finally managed to post! It isn't often that I buy anything from The Body Shop. I don't particularly know why, I just usually shop from the same old places for my skincare, Kiehl's, Lush and FeelUnique. So instead, I decided to pick up a couple of product, as they had a 3 for 2 offer (small print: cheapest you get free) from the Oxford Street Body Shop store where I was welcomed by the loveliest Sales Advisor ever. I knew I wanted to try the Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Butter for quite a while as I had seen so many of you bloggers (yes I blame you for my initial purchase) raving about the awesomeness of this product. Firstly, what totally struck me about this product is that it's like a weird wax texture, rather than a sort of buttery/moisturiser consistency. I absolutely love the scent of this product, it's so subtle and seriously, if I could have a candle that smells like this, I would buy it.

Next I picked up the Vitamin E Sink-In Moisture Sleeping Mask. I've never used a sleeping mask in my life, but I really wanted to branch out to products that I don't usually use or don't currently have in my giant skincare drawer. I spoke to the lovely sales advisor about my overly dry (god you cannot stop talking about your dry skin can you Caroline?) skin and that I really need something to boost up the hydration. What I essentially should do, is apply a thick layer of this onto my face, and wear it overnight (without getting it all over your pillow). To me this product smells of just, is it weird to say babies? It smells like baby powder and wipes, in a really lovely way? Like I'm someone who actually prefers this sort of subtle soft smell than a harsh coconut/cocoa butter scent. I am seriously excited to try this product, and cannot wait to let you know what I think of it after using it for a couple of weeks!

Lastly (my free product eep!) is the Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet. This is supposedly the lightest formula of moisturiser, ideal for dry and sensitive skin. It has the same scent as the sleeping mask, but has this gel-like formula that is to quench my skin. Anything that promises to quench I am like yes, give it to me now! I have started to run out of all of my moisturisers, so I'm very excited to give this a try, perhaps this will mean a whole new skincare routine if my skin cooperates? What makes this product that little bit more luxurious is that it comes in a glass tub rather than plastic, which is a little bit more of a bonus hahaha!

I really loved picking up some stuff from The Body Shop finally! I'd love to know if you've tried any of the above, first impressions? Or if there are any more products I desperately need to try from them!

  1. I also rarely shop at The Body Shop, I don't know why, probably because, just like you, I mostly choose FeelUnique or BeautyBay for my beauty purchases and always forget about checking TBS. I definitely need to plan a visit to their shop :) x

    1. I know right, it's so weird because i feel like they've been doing a massive PR push recently with bloggers so perhaps that's why it's more on my radar! If you do, I totally recommend the Cleanser, it's the best think I got out of the whole haul! xx

    1. I have to say the balm cleanser isn't great at getting eye makeup off as much so perhaps I'd need to try the waterproof one! xx

  3. It's been a long time since I bought anything from The Body Shop because there's is no store where I live. I usually will do a haul end of the year when I visit the nearby city and I usually stock up on the body butter.

    1. I have to say, I don't think I'm that impressed with the mask, personally I haven't seen a massive difference in my skin and it doesn't feel rehydrated, softer but not more moisturized! xx

  12. I love the Cleansing Butter, I've repurchased it so many times! I've tried the moisture sorbet I liked how refreshing it felt but it wasn't hydrating enough for me :( I'm intrigued by the sleep in mask, I'd love a review :) I recently tried one from the superdrug vitamin E range but i'm not a massive fan xx

    1. The cleansing butter to be honest with you, is the only product I liked from this haul! I'm going to do a full review on the other two, but spoiler, I wasn't a fan! As someone with such dry skin they didn't really moisturize or hydrate at all! xx
