Unboxing: Benefit Cheekathon Palette

Oh my goodness. Oh my goodness. This little beauty is finally all mine! This is a product that I have had on my wish list for an absolute age and I finally thought that I would treat myself with this little beauty. The Benefit Cheekathon Palette came out a little while ago and I finally bit the bullet and picked it up.

Benefit is a brand that I haven't really delved that much into mainly because of the price. Like damn some of their products are hella expensive. However saying that, what struck me to buying this product was the fact that it is such a good bargain. The box retails at £44.50 online, and luckily with my student discount still on the go, I was able to get this at £40.05. I know what you're thinking, hell you spent that much on this. What's great about this palette is that it contains 5 full sized benefit products. This includes two bronzers, Hoola and Dallas, along with three blushers; Coralista, Rockateur and Dandelion. When sold individually these products are £23.50 each. That means this palette has a total of £117.50 pounds. So you're actually getting 5 products for the price of 2 (and with that little discount of 10% just a little bit better of a deal). Have I justified my purchase yet?

The palette comes in a cardboard packaging (although feels a little bit more luxurious and heavy than most cardboard packaging) along with a nice sized mirror and brush. I'm in total awe with the outside packaging and although yes it is a little bulky, not recommended for travel that's for sure, it's just something I can't believe I've lived without. The Hoola Bronzer and Dandelion blush have been on my wishlist for ages, but it made much more sense to buy this than them individually!

So what does this palette of utter gorgeousness include, - excuse me whilst I do steal a couple of lines from the Benefit website and insert them here.

Hoola Bronzer: "Dust this award-winning bronzing powder over your chin, cheeks and forehead for a healthy, natural-looking "tan" year-round. It's pure matte colour...no sparkle or shine!"

Dallas Bronzer: "Give your complexion a natural-looking glow that will have you appearing younger and more vibrant. This sheer wash of color dusted across your cheeks, forehead and chin gives any complexion a sunkissed radiance... it's a glow that defies even Mother Nature."

Coralista Blush: "It's your blush for a tropical flush! This warm coral-pink shade cheers up every skintone in seconds."

Dandelion Blush: "This sheer, ballerina-pink face powder takes your complexion from dull to radiant. Sweep it on cheeks as a soft blush or dust it all over face as a brightening finishing powder"

Rockatuer Blush: "This rockin' rose gold cheek powder gives a famously provocative flush that turns heads on-stage and off. The specialized formula combines the best features of baked, powder, cream and fluid textures for brighter results. The crowd will go wild for its sexy faceted design, accented in luxe gold."

For me the products I'm most excited for are Hoola, Rockateur (I mean rose-gold blush?! Come on!!) and Dandelion (it's so pretty I might cry!).

Don't take my word for it, take a look at the swatches! Aren't they dreamy?

Left to Right: Dandelion, Dallas, Hoola, Coralista, Rockateur
Now the product is as far as I know only available online at either Benefit.co.uk or House of Fraser and I'm someone who does NOT like paying for postage so bare in mind that if you go economy, it can take a little while to arrive!

I'm super excited to try this out and let you know how I get on in a couple of weeks! Let me know if you own this palette or any of the individuals and what you think!

    6. Such a pretty palette! I have the Christmas version they released the year before and am nowhere near finishing it, such good value! I don't think I've ever bought a full size benefit product because their minis last ages so with this being the full size version of the blushes you have definitely justified it :P

      1. Isn't it amazing value! I thought it was probably better to just bite the bullet and by all the expensive products in one rather than separately, and like you said, I can imagine this will last me a hell of a long time! xx

    10. Thisis such an exicting palette. The one thing I hate about benefit box products is the bulkiness when travelling so this is perfect

      1. This is actually pretty darn bulky and quite big but I guess because you get so many products in it it's not too horrendous! xx
