I know that most people will tend to bring out the masses of burgundy and black nails when it hits Autumn time, but at the moment my nails have not been growing and I don't really like dark colours on my stubby nails, so nudes it is! Alas, thank goodness for the mass variety of nude/neutral polishes that are perfect to wear in Autumn.
Firstly is the beautiful Wet 'n Wild Megalast Nail Polish 'Undercover'. When I had first picked this up it was literally the only polish shade I would wear for weeks on end. I would describe this as a lovely taupe pink with a grey/purple undertone. Not only is the shade totally unique to my mass collection of nude polishes, the brush has to be, hands down the best. I love a thick brush applicator because it means that you can get more of an even application whilst also covering most of the nail - there's definitely a correlation with my patchy application and the thickness of the brush. The wear of this polish is really good too, with around 4-5 day wear which is quite a lot for my weak and brittle nails!
A shade that has been spoken about loads on my Instagram and on my blog is the Maybelline Super Stay 7 Day Forever Strong 'Rose Poudre'. I literally cannot fault this polish at all. When it comes to formula, it hands down wins. To me, Essie, Barry M, OPI and Sally Hansen have got nothing on this formula. I can wear it for up to 8 days, and rather than chipping, it kind of fades slightly off the tip of the fingertips which I think looks a bit more decent than completely chipping off. As the name suggests, this is a dusty rose colour, which I think looks so elegant and sophisticated. I think it makes for a great Autumnal shade because it isn't too pink heavy.

Top to Bottom: Essie 'Ladylike', Wet 'n Wild 'Undercover', Maybelline 'Rose Poudre' |
Lastly is Essie 'Ladylike' - a beautiful and another elegant mauve shade. As you can see from the droplets/swatches type thing (basically couldn't find a sheet of paper to swatch on) these is a bit more of a grey undertoned polish but very similar to Rose Poudre. Although Essie isn't my favourite formula, I just love the shade so much as it makes me nails look very dainty. With Essie I kind of wear it and apply it with full knowledge that it will last 2 days max (regardless if I buffer, bottom coat, top coat, dip in coconut oil etc etc) but let me know if you kind of have the same problem with the brand!
Let me know in the comments below if you're more of an Autumn nude or Autumn dark wearer!
