Colourpop Haul

I've had my eye on Colourpop as a brand for absolutely forever. I contemplated using a third party to ship but was a little concerned with them either being dodgy or my products arriving broken which wouldn't be replaced by Colourpop. Then Colourpop decided to announced that they were doing international delivery and I felt as if I was going to have withdraw my life savings. Until I found out what they were charging which is apparently done by different bands through how much you spend (Thank you Jasmine from Jasmine Talks Beauty for letting me know re shipping! :) ) Regardless I was like hm no, I didn't want to spend $15  (£12) for buying only two products, it just didn't seem worth it.

After losing what felt like all hope they announced they were doing an exciting promotion in which international delivery was $4.99 under $50 and free for all orders above $50 around a week ago. Naturally I finally decided this was my moment to get a hold of some items.

First on my list were of course the Lippie Stix. I've had these on my list for ages as I've just heard how amazing the formula is. I of course had to get the shade 'Lumiere'. KathleenLights is one of my all time favourite YouTubers and when she first released her collab I knew Lumiere would have to be mine. It's a stunning dusty mauve pink which just adds a bit more of a feminine feel than a normal nude lip which I really love. I also knew that the shade 'Poison' would have to bee mine too. I'm very into my dark lips at the moment but I don't own a shade like this. I have quite a few bright red or deep red lipsticks, but none this stunning deep brown/red shade. Because it's such a unique shade I also decided to get the lip pencil in 'Poison' to match it as well as I wasn't sure if I would find a lip liner over here to match with it. What I love about this shade is how white it makes my teeth look as well!

Of course I couldn't not order a couple of the Colourpop Super Shock Eyeshadows. I've just heard such amazing things about their pigmentation and quality so I picked up two shades 'La La' and another KathleenLights collab 'Weenie'. 'La La' is a beautiful rose gold shimmery eyeshadow. Although they may look very similar 'La La' has a much more copper and brown undertone to it which I absolutely love! The formula of these eye-shadows is so creamy I actually couldn't believe it when I first swatched them.

Left to Right: 'Wisp', 'La La' and 'Weenie'
I have enough blushers and bronzers to last a lifetime (well can you really have enough) but I am always happy to extend my highlighter collection. Golden champagne highlighters are by far my favourite and am so happy that I picked up 'Wisp'. Although this looked scarily darker to how I thought it would in the pan, when you apply it, it's more wearable. It's so creamy and not powdery at all, and because of the texture, it really blends into the skin without leaving you with an awkward streak on your face which can happen with some highlighters!
If I could I would have 100% picked up more, but alas with moving house I had to restrict myself to only picking up one Ultra Matte Lip. 'Bumble' really caught my eye because it's a shade unlike any in my collection (I feel like this is my one line excuse to my purchases). Bumble is a light terracota shade, which I think could look stunning on such an array of different skin shades. With most liquid lipsticks I have found them to be extremely drying and not a single drugstore liquid lipstick has really been mildly 'good' in my opinion. I'm still playing around with this formula as I've been wearing and testing out the Lippie Stix.

Left to Right: 'Bumble', 'Lumiere', 'Poison Lippie Stix', 'Poison Lippie Pencil'
So there we have it! My first ever Colourpop haul. I'm so impressed with Colourpop and if they ever do another $4.99 international shipping deal I will of course be making the most of it. The total cost for all the products and international shipping came to $38.99 (I had $5 off from susbscribing to their newnewsletter). So this was around £32. I then had to pay £13 once it had entered the UK for royal mail and customs (wahhh).

Let me know what products I need to have on my shopping list next when I shop at Colourpop!

  16. I love ColourPop and La La and Wisp are two of my favourites :) the regular ColourPop shipping isn't a flat rate, by the way, it's banded. If you order 2 products it's $15 and as their products are so cheap your order will be under £15 so you won't have to pay customs. It's still pricey but I sometimes do it if I just HAVE to have something haha
