My Autumnal Makeup Look

It's been a long time since I've posted a makeup look with a series of posey photos in which I really do look like an absolute idiot,  so thought it was about time. Also I literally put on an entire face of makeup on a Sunday purely for this post, and we all know what a commitment that is! Also just realised this is the first official photography of my dyed and cut-off hair! This has been my current go-to Autumnal makeup look, a nude smokey brown eye with a bold vampy berry lip!

When it starts getting dark and colder during the Autumn months I feel as if my skin just loses a bit of light and energy. I love using the Mac Strobe Cream as a primer, which just adds a bit more life to my foundation as well as acts as a great base for holding my foundation as well. I then go in with my trust Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation 'Ivory' which is just my go-to foundation from the drugstore because it has great coverage and lasts all day whilst I'm at work.

Now that I'm resembling a couch potato and finding it hard to sleep in my un-decorated un-homely flat, I've been painting on the Bourjois Radiance Concealer under my eyes so I look more awake and aware at work!

I always opt for bronzer, even in the Autumn time because otherwise I feel as if my face just looks very two dimensional, I go in with the Benefit Hoola Bronzer from my Benefit Cheekathon Palette which is just one of my all time favourite products to wear with this look. Mac's Mineralize Blush 'Gleeful'  compliments the berry lip as well, tying the look together.

A product very new to my collection is the Hi Impact Brow Palette*. Finally I own an eyebrow product in my shade! Finding a shade that matches my brows is possibly the hardest thing ever. I picked up a Rimmel powder a while ago and the shade was totally wrong so I kind of gave up on having normal looking brows. When I first took a look at the palette I was convinced the 'Mocha' shade would be mine, but thought I should try out the 'Ash' blonde shade first, which gives me such a natural looking brow shape and colour!

We then go into the eyes. I find that I need to go for a subtle and effortless smokey brown/nude eye with this look, because I don't want to focus too much attention away from the lips (which are of course the main showstopper in this look!)

I start by priming my lids and then using the Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette I apply 'Nudie' all across my lid and blend out. Then using 'Cashmere Bunny' which is only a shade slightly darker, I use a fluffy crease brush to add more dimension.

Then comes the main beauty product in this Autumn look. Charlotte Tilbury 'Glastonberry' is fast becoming my all time favourite Autumnal lip colour. I first spoke about Glastonberry here on my blog and literally cannot stop wearing it. It's a beautiful dark purple berry lip, which is very comfortable to wear. Although it does need a couple of coats for full opacity, it's worth it because the formula is creamy and applies like a dream.
