Rose Gold Eyes

Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you're not as hungover as I am and are actually managing to function today!

I'm so glad that the term 'rose gold' was created because otherwise I would have to call this post something horrific like 'pink eye look' which we both know may be clickbait, but also totally and utterly wrong. I watched a recent video by KathleenLights which featured a Rose Gold & Vampy lips look and although I skipped out on the vampy lips and went for more of a nude lipstick.

Originally, I picked up the Tanya Burr Birthday Suit Palette and didn't think much from it but as you can see I've definitely made a dent into a couple of shades (mainly toast and marzipan) because I have to say I think this is just such a pretty palette. To begin with I start with Toast in my entire crease as a transition shade.

I then apply the Colourpop SuperShock Eyeshadow La La  using my fingers all across the lid. I then go back in with Toast in the crease to make sure there aren't any harsh lines.

To add a bit more 'pink' into the look as LaLa can look quite coppery, I apply the pink champagne shade from my Nars Duo 'Alhambra' in the inner corner of my eyelids. Finally I go back to the Tanya Burr palette and take marzipan to highlight the inner corner of my eye and under my brow bone.

Lastly I think that black eyeliner looks far to harsh with a rose gold eye look and opt for a NYX Slim Eye Pencil in 'Bronze Glitter' which is a stunning copper eyeliner. I tight-line my lashes on the bottom and top with this and smudge it out which just adds a bit more depth to my eyes.

Let me know in the comments below if you use any of the products or have been loving the rose-gold eye look recently! Maybe I'm just a little bit eager for Spring...

  1. Beautiful post!I'm in love with everything rose gold. It's no different with the eyeshadows. I haven't used any of these products but I love Essence Mono Eyeshadow in 20 rosy happiness. It's a beautiful copper rose shade. xo

  8. These are such beautiful shades! I'm trying to use up my Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Pink Gold, so am definitely towards a rose gold eye look at the moment. I've pulled out a few different palettes to play with so that I have variety. I haven't tried any of the products you've mentioned above, but I do have the 'Silk Road' Nars eyeshadow duo. It looks quite similar to 'Alhambra'. Xx

  10. These types of shades are so so pretty, I'm seriously amazed at how many of those eyeshadows you've hit pan on! I wish I was better about using eye products other than liners. I really only use one eyeshadow and that's the Burberry Pale Barley shade which is a nice and gorgeous neutral color! I do wish Tanya Burr products were more easily available in the states, a lot of her products look incredible!
