Pancake Day - With Robinsons | ad

Shrove Tuesday could possibly be up there with one of my favourite holidays. Obviously Christmas first. Then my Birthday. My family have always taken Shrove Tuesday very seriously, and this year is no exception. Firstly for Shrove Tuesday, a solid pancake recipe is a must. Now I have to say, I'm not an American pancake kind of gal. I'm all about the crepes. I am a firm believer that crepes are lighter, which therefore means you can eat twice as many. This is what we call #StrategyShroveTuesday.

I of course made my way swiftly down to Sainsbury's and picked up the below ingredients, perfect for making crepes.

1 cup flour
1 1/2 cups of milk
2 Eggs (free range of course)
1 tsp Vegetable oil
Pinch of Salt
butter for frying

Method

1. Combine flour, milk, eggs and oil
2. Add Salt
3. Heat the pan and add a small amount of butter
4. I'm pretty sure you all know how to  make a pancake.

When it comes to pancake toppings. the choices are literally endless. Endless. I'm much more of a lemon and sugar kind of girl which is the perfect combination between sour and sweet which pairs so well with the Robinson's Real Fruit 'Lemon' Squash* . Because Robinson's squash has so few calories (3 calories per serving) I use it as justification to pretty much add more nutella etc onto my pancakes My flatmate can agree that I'm one of those people who hates drinking water, I've never really drunk enough of it, and the only time I will actively want to is when squash is involved, so it makes the perfect addition to any meal.

My friend Kate has opted for more of a nutella chocolate con berries including strawberries, raspberries and blackberries which is paired with the Robinson's Real Fruit 'Strawberry & Kiwi'* drink.

Let me know in the comments below what you'll be having on pancake day and your favourite Robinson's flavour!
