The Glow

I don't know why, but I have been obsessed with 'the glow'. I used to be a die hard matte face, matte lip kind of girl, but I think at some point I realized it wasn't doing anything for my dry skin and the glow was the way to go.

You can't talk about the perfect glow and not mention the beautiful Sleek Soltice Highlighting Palette. I went through a phase of loving this highlighter and then also forgetting about it, however recently it's just all I've been wearing everyday. Ecliptic (the top left shade) is all I've been wearing as a brow bone highlighter, it's a cream champagne finished highlighter and the pigmentation is out of this world. I've also been loving Equinox, the bottom right shade in the palette. This is such a BAM highlighter for your cheek bones as well as your cupids bow.

For foundation, I've been obsessed with a very dewy look which is why the Loreal True Match Foundation has suddenly become one of my go-to highlighters. I wrote a full review on the foundation here  but all I can really say without repeating myself is that this is perfect for those with dry skin looking for a medium foundation ahead of Spring time!

The Bourjois Radiance Concealer is perfect for under the eyes and brightening. I also love using this to highlight the bridge of my nose and because the concealer isn't cakey at all, it just adds a bit of a glow!

Next is the Mac Strobe Cream. I mentioned this a while ago in my Best of 2016 post and I can't go a day without using it. I either like using it as a primer underneath my foundation or I mix it in and it just adds such a healthy look to your foundation. It's not glittery at all for a strobe cream, but instead is pure sheen.

Originally when I tried out the BareMinerals Invisible Light Translucent Powder Duo I thought I would hate it. Personally I don't think it's really THAT amazing, but I am really loving the matte powder more than the highlighter. The powder is a great alternative to a setting powder because it isn't too matte but also can still set your face whilst also adding some sort of dimension to your face.

Lastly is the product that I completely forgot about for an absolute age, but the I Heart Makeup Blushing Hearts Peachy Pink Kiss has been something I've been wearing everyday since rediscovering it. It's a product that is a little bit too highlightery to be a blush, but too pink for it to just be a blush so this is what I call my go-to 'blush topper'. I add a little bit of this on top of a matte peach/pink blush and it just adds more of a glow!

  7. I always see the I Heart Makeup blushes on the superdrug website and I always have to stop myself from buying a couple as they are all so beautiful and dupes for the Too Faced ones! Using it as a blush topper is such a good idea!

  10. I have Solstice and for some reason I've never tried the top left shade, I'll definitely give it a go on my brow bone. I need to try those heart shaped blushers, I'm not a fan of copying cult products but they seem to have done a good job there! Lovely post as always xx

    1. Oh no I totally agree I think it's really bad how they have been copying a lot of the high end products, but I actually didn't know that the Too Faced ones existed prior to buying this, and now I've been opened up to a lot more of their makeup copying I don't purchase from them xx
