I raved heavily about the Bourjois Radiance Reveal Concealer on the blog, including it in numerous favourites post as I had felt as if I had finally found the perfect concealer. It was moisturizing, brightening and colour correcting. However when I found out about the new Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealers I knew I had to get my hands on it.
I'm a big fan of the bourjois healthy mix foundation as it's perfect for dry skin and feels so lightweight whilst still having coverage. However the question is...which one is the best?
Packaging - Okay not the most important thing when it comes to products but I think it has to be mentioned somewhere right? Now I think the Radiance Reveal Concealer definitely hands down wins here. It comes in a very sophisticated and luxurious looking frosted glass bottle and to me just looks more expensive.
Hydration - Hydration wise I would say the healthy mix wins when it comes to application. It takes the least amount of time out of the two to blend, however this may be down to it's coverage.
Colour - Now this is where it's a complete game changer. I picked up the two lightest 'fair' and 'light shades' from the two ranges and as you can tell in the swatches, they are completely different. The radiance concealer is much more pink toned which is perfect for cancelling out the dark blue under my eyes I've been suffering with recently! However, the Healthy Mix is almost very orange and in fact, too orange for my skintone even as the lightest shade out of the range. Therefore, Radiance hands down wins in my books for colour correction!
So as you can probably tell, the Bournois Radiance Reveal wins in my books all around. I'm gutted I don't like the healthy mix concealer but the colour just isn't right and let's just say, I'm a sucker for cute packaging

I bought the Radiance Reveal concealer a while ago, tried it a couple of times and I don't remember why but I didn't fall in love with it. It's now sat in my drawer unused, but I keep seeing people saying it's their holy grail so I'm thinking I really need to give it another shot. The way you've described it ticks all my boxes for a concealer so I have no idea what I didn't like about it! xx

Great review! I always hear so many good things about the health mix foundation, I had no idea there was a concealer too! But the radiance concealer sounds more up my street as anything that can hide my dark circles is a winner in my book haha!

It's been so long since I used Bourjois! I used to really like the Healthy Mix Foundation, didn't even know they came out with concealers. I think it's good they have a more yellow/orange toned one, especially for my skin tone!

I just purchased both these concealers along with a bunch of other bourjois goodies from feel unique yesterday as they were having a 3 for 2. I'm keen to try out both. I have gotten quite tanned over summer so hopefully i can make the shade work for me.

ReplyDeleteI never tried their concealers just their matte liquid lipsticks. But as I'm always on the hunt for some good concealers I definitely have to have a closer look at them and I will go for the Radiance Reveal as it sounds just like a lovely product.
