Mini Superdrug Haul

Yes Mum, I promise I'm trying to save...sort of. So I made a cheeky Superdrug order online during the 3 for 2 offer and managed to pick up some newbies.

My Real Techniques Complexion Sponge was looking a little haggered and worse-for-wear so I needed a replacement. However instead of buying a new one I decided to mix things up and instead buy the Ecotools Ecofoam Makeup Sponge Duo which I have heard non-stop good things about. I have heard that these are even closer of a dupe than the Real Techniques to the beauty blender so safe to say I'm pretty excited and the fact that you get two in the packet is pretty fab, as the smaller sponge will be great for my under eye concealer. I've actually gotten round to using this and although it is denser that a Real Techniques sponge, I actually....prefer this! With my RT sponge I didn't ever dampen it (I know) because I didn't like using it damp, but I actually love using this sponge damp - my foundation looks so flawless - loveeee!

I've also been seeing a lot about the Bourjois Rice Powder Java which I know is by all means not a new product on the market but have heard it's an amazing alternative to a face powder if you're looking for dewier and illuminating skin, which I definitely am. I was actually very surprised with the colour of this, it's definitely a nude pink shade so I'm not going to lie I was a little apprehensive. First of all, do not use this as a setting powder. Woops. I used it all over my face and no, it's more like a finishing powder, that you apply on top of a mattifying one just to give it a bit more life. I adore this so far and it's definitely made my foundation look more radiant!

Of course I couldn't not pick up my favourite Maybelline Lash Sensational Intense Black Mascara as I could always do with a back up. I don't think I've actually picked up a new mascara since I first started using this around a year ago I swear. I just love how full and voluminous my lashes look after using this and don't think I will actually....stop using this!

Let me know in the comments below what you've got your eyes on in Superdrug!

  1. So I accidentally picked up the waterproof version of that mascara and I was so disappointed! It clumped my lashes together into one big lump, not pretty! When I realised my mistake I picked up the original and now I see what all of the hype is about! It's really lovely xx

  7. Oo I definitely need to try the Bourjois powder, I think it would work nicely over the top of my Laura Mercier powder to give it a bit more of a glowy finish x
