Buxom White Russian on the Rocks Palette

I've never tried anything from Buxom before, but I've heard so so much about this brand (and mostly their lip glosses) that I was so excited to play around with their limited edition Buxom White Russian on the Rocks Palette

First of all, can we just appreciate this packaging?! This has to be one of the most beautiful and slightly garish palettes I own. It sort of reminds me of a very thing glasses case, and is actually so sleek and compact. What I didn't actually know is that you can customize the palette, by pulling out the drawer and purchase individual shadows to add in from Buxom.

It comes with 6 shades all steering on the pink side which I have been wearing on my eyes so much recently. What I like about this palette is that although I have the Naked 3 palette (which is very pink heavy) these are much more true pinks. In the Naked 3 palette there isn't really a matte pure pink shade as they are quite taupe based rather than purely pink whereas the shade '5" Stilleto' is perfect.
Left to Right: Born Glam, Gilt Trip, 5" Stiletto, White Russian with a Twist, Precious Metals, High Society.
They are all shimmers apart from 1 shade, but most of them pack a great punch in pigmentation and are similar in formula as to the Naked shadows.

My favourite shade of course would have to be 'Precious Metals'. Oh my goodness this shade is the most luxurious cocoa shimmery brown. I recently completely finished off my favourite shimmery brown shade 'Push Up' from the Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette so I was in need of a new one for my nights out. I literally can wear this all over my eyes with just a brown matte in the crease, and it looks ah-mazing. There was little-to-no fall out and the colour blended so well without taking away that shine off the shade. 'Born Glam' is beautiful as a inner-corner highlight and for underneath the brow bone. However the only shade that is a little disappointing is 'Gilt Trip' which is really just pure glitter rather than any pigmentation as you can see from the swatch. I reckon you would have to use this with some Fix + spray as a shadow topper on top of the shade 'White Russian with a Twist'  instead. I'm definitely going to be using this palette a lot, especially when going ham on the rose-gold eyes and is perfect to add to my collection just in time for Spring!

Let me know if you've tried anything from Buxom before in the comments below!
