Makeup Lately

It's been an absolute age since I've done a recent makeup lately blog post and seeing as I've purchased a couple new bits whilst also beginning to shop my stash some more, I've definitely made a change in the usual foundation/blush routine.

Foundation wise I've been absolutely obsessed with my L'Oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation again. I think I've raved about this constantly, but I honestly cannot fault this formula at all. If you're someone with dry skin looking for that dewy complexion, you HAVE to try this. Although the price tag is hefty for a product that doesn't actually come with that much foundation, I still will continue to damage the piggy bank for this. I love applying this with damp newly purchased EcoTools Ecofoam Makeup Sponge Duo which gives it a flawless finish and means you can really blend it deep into the skin.

I then set my face, as this is dewy, with my  The Beauty Pie One Powder Wonder*, only lightly dusting this so that I don't tamper too much with the dewy complexion. I then apply a dusting of the Bourjois Poudre De Riz De Java all over my face which I am obsessed with. This just gives your face the prettiest sheen to it and re-livening up any of the dewy complexion the setting powder may have taken away. Clinique Cheek Pop Blush 'Peach Pop' has been a product I've constantly loved and I've been giving my Milani Luminoso a break whilst falling back in love with this blusher. Mines looking a little worse for wear but I truly believe that's a sign of how much I love this bright peach pink blush.

On the eyes I've been loving a champagne pink shimmer to really step into Spring with, so I've been heading back to my Nars Alhambra Eyeshadow Duo using the pink-champagne shade all over the lid and using 'Nooner' a muted pink/brown in my Naked 3 palette in the crease. To really widen my eyes and brighten them, I have been using the NYX Wonder Pencil to tight line - if I've also not kept my brows in good form, I love using this to clear them up as well as a sort of concealer as it's not too heavy but still makes them more defined. To finish off on the eyes of course I use my Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara which is one I repurchase time and time again.

On the lips I've not purchased much in the way of new lipsticks as I received some new beauties for my birthday, so I've either been wearing Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk or Bitch Perfect on a day to day basis as I find these tend to go really nicely with the eye makeup.

Let me know if you've mixed up your makeup routine recently and one product that you keep going back to!

  8. I absolutely love the Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in the Pillow Talk shade, it is just the perfect shade. I loved the L'Oréal cushion foundation last year but I haven't been able to convince myself to buy it again as I used it up so quickly last time.
