My Night-Out Makeup

When it comes to going out and choosing makeup, I stick to what I know. There's nothing worse than 'trying out a new look' right before you're about to go out and hating it and then having to quickly rush and re-do your face. This had happened on my birthday. Never again. Therefore I've found my staple night-out makeup bits that I know won't fail me.

For the base I like more of a full-coverage foundation, so I opt for the L'Oreal True Match Foundation. I love this stuff as it makes my skin look flawless in photos and gives it a bit more dimension that a regular matte foundation. It stays in place and is just a perfect canvas. For that extra coverage I use the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer on any spots and my dark under-eyes as it's just a faultless product. For bronzer I tend to go in with my Benefit Hoola Bronzer as I can do a bit more of a harsh and defined contour which I like for a night out, along with the Benefit Rockateur Blush as it tends to work with nearly every eyeshadow look.

Highlighter of course is a definite must on a night out. During the day I like to go subtle with my highlight, opting for either theBalms Mary Lou but I tend to go for more of a bam highlighter and chose my Sleek Solstice Palette and use my favourite shade Equinox to highlight my cheeks, bridge of my nose and my cupids bow.

Onto the eyes I know that I can always count on my Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Palette to create a smokey bronze/copper eyelook. To highlight my brow bone I love going in with the shade 'hemisphere' from the Sleek palette as well, as it's beautiful to lift and add more glam to your look.  I always wear eyeliner and my favourite is the L'Oreal SuperLiner SuperStar. I can easily create a small winged liner that is even and actually fully opaque. I don't wear falsies as I find they look really odd on me, plus I don't have the patience but I do like big voluminous lashes, so I always wear my Maybelline Lash Sensation Mascara for length and volume.

Bold lips are a definite no, no for me. It's hard enough for me to not get red lipstick all over my shirt and face when I'm sober, let alone after a few vodka oranges. Therefore it's best I go for a very neutral shade and mostly opt for Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk as it's really 'my lips but better/plumper'.

Finally I have to set my makeup so a couple spritz of the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray ensures that my makeup sits in place for the entire evening!

    1. The urban decay one for me is the only one that does actually make my foundation last longer. It's also great for foundation because it adds a bit more life into it and just makes your makeup look more refreshed xx
