Lush Sleepy

Luckily I'm not someone who has many issues when it comes to sleeping, but when I heard all the talk about Lush's Sleepy Body Lotion I just knew I had to give it a try regardess.

Unfortunately this isn't the easiest product to get your hands on as I know it's been pretty much sold out everywhere and the only way my friend and I managed to pick it up was visiting Stratford's Westfield at 9.30am just as they were replenishing their stock.

Although Lush doesn't claim for this to help insomnia (the guy at Lush made that very clear they don't make those claims) Buzzfeed, Refinery 29 even Vogue have claimed it's the "most effective treatment for Insomnia" - now although I don't have Insomnia, so I can't attest to that, I can agree that this product has all the cosy feels to it that help make you drift off to sleep.

You'll sleep well after dipping into this dreamy lotion, made with a gentle oatmeal infusion, calming lavender flower and comfortingly sweet tonka absolute.

I'm a big fan of lavender scents, the Twilight bath bomb being one of my all-time favourites from Lush, so I knew this lavender water and lavender flower infused body lotion would become a staple. On a Sunday I find it the hardest to get to sleep mainly because I've slept in too much on the weekend so I treat myself to a bath and then lather this on. It makes your skin feel so soft (mainly due to the cocoa jojoba oil) which is great for those with dry skin like myself and the scent is strong yet not overpowering. Although it does have a lavender scent it's not sweet at all because the oatmeal and jojoba oil bring it to more of a musky scent.

If you're a big fan of Twilight, Sleepy Body Lotion is perfect for you, and for you who aren't a big fan of the body lotion, they have a body spray which you can spritz over yourself or on your bed sheets too.

Let me know in the comments below if you've tried Lush Sleep and your thoughts!

  1. My friends recently used some of this on her hands and I thought it smelt a little like cinnamon - which I loved as I'm not really a lavender kind of person. I want to go in and try it myself!:)
