My Colourpop Collection

Although not the easiest drugstore brand to get a hold of, Colourpop is definitely up there as my favourite budget-friendly makeup brand. I've only made around 3x orders but I've definitely built up a little happy collection of some outstandingly amazing products that I thought I'd share with you.

Super Shock Eyeshadows - These have to be my favourite of Colourpops products as I think they've done an outstanding job differentiating themselves in the eyshadow game. I always found that there were really only two options out there; powder and cream shadows, but when I got my hands on my first ever Super Shock shadow I was blown away by the consistency. These are bouncy, smoothe and the application is flawless, their pigmentation never fails to impress me and the colour range is incredible! I have the below shades:

SuperModel - Sadly Super Model is no longer available *cry* because this is one of my all time favourite eyeshadow bases. This was described as a soft golden ivory in smooth Satin shade, perfect to act as a base under any shimmery-champagne eye

La La - The perfect shade for Autumn, a glittery coppery shade where you only need one swipe to create the ultimate shimmery eye.

Porter - A bit out of my comfort zone, but perfect for this time of the year is another sadly discontinued product, a pearl/satin finished berry shade, great to apply in the crease of a smokey coppery-eye.

Cornelious - Probably the only product I've ever been disappointed by is this matte light-toffee shade. sadly this just doesn't give the pigmentation that the shimmery shadows do, and dries up a lot quicker than my other ones. I've used this as a base a couple of times, but sadly think I need to get rid of it.

Weenie - The one and only true rose-gold shade I've ever come across. Perfect as an all over the lid-colour, it's shiny, pigmented and has the perfect undertone balance of both pink, rose, silver and gold.

Super Hard CoreVery similar to super model, Super Hard Core is a bit more yellow-toned and steers slightly on the golden side. Unfortunately I don't think you can buy this individually anymore but it is part of a KathleenLights collection.

Super Shock Highlighter - I've never been a cream or liquid highlighter kind of girl as I just tend to stick with more of the powdered products as I find they work best with my bases, however after being so impressed with the super shock shadows, I knew the highlighters would equally have that amazing bouncy consistency for a flawless application. I have the below shades:

Wisp - The ultimate champagne/pearl highlighter that you need in your collection to really get that BAM glowey look.

Churro - Sadly far too dark for me to wear as a highlighter even when tanned this tie-dye bronze highlighter will be incredibly beautiful for those with medium to dark skin. I love the tie-dye effect because it adds an extra dimension when you apply it. Sadly I think this was limited edition so not available anymore - Yo Colourpop what's the deal?

Super Shock Blush 'Between the Sheets' I then of course had to pick up a blusher as these are definitely my weak spot when it comes to my makeup hoarding. Exactly like the highlighters, the blush consistency is outstanding, I personally find it works best to apply it with a dampened beauty blender or your fingers. Between the Sheets is a dusky pink shade which is perfect for those who are looking for a more natural blush and aren't too keen on peach-toned blushers.

Lippie Stix - I personally love the application of these lippie stix, the fact that the nib is smaller means you get much more of a precise application. You tend to only need one layer as the pigmentation is really there and they have such a matte yet smooth finish. I have the below shades:

Lumiere - When KathleenLights announced this collaboration with Colourpop I knew I had to get my hands on it. Lumiere is such a pretty mauvey pink and one that I think works on so many skintones and is just a pretty-pink for everyday.

Poison - This shade really caught my eye because it was that little bit more blood and Autumn leaf red than a lot of my bluer toned ones. I love wearing this with stripes because it doesn't look overly 'put together' but is another take on a bold lip.

Creature - Wah another one that is discontinued. Once I picked up Poison I fell in love with the rich pigmentation that Colourpop's darker shades gave, so went for Creature, an incredibly deep/purple red which is probably my most wearable and most-loved deep dark lipstick, quite vampy. I even have the matching Lip Liner because I knew this was too unique of a shade to not have the exact matching lip liner.

Ultra Matte Lips 'Bumble'- Although I tend to hate anything that dries my lips out, I knew I couldn't resist picking up 'Bumble'. I wanted a very unique Autumnal shade last year, something I wouldn't be able to get in the drugstores here and Bumble spoke out to me. It's a stunning burnt terracotta rose shade. Although these are very drying and very matte, I have to say Bumble is still extremely comfortable to war and doesn't crack and crumble like some other liquid lipsticks I've had.

Ultra Satin Lip 'Alyssa'- When these launched I knew I had to get my hands on a shade because if I liked the Ultra Matte Lips, I knew I would like the Ultra Satin Lips. Alyssa a muted pink shade which is perfect for every day. I prefer the satin lip formula as it is that little bit more comfortable to wear yet still gives you that matte finish.

Ultra Glossy Lip 'Fairy Floss'- I am not a big fan of lipgloss as I find it overly tacky and sticky and just a lot of maintenance to uphold to throughout the day to ensure my hair doesn't get stuck to my face. However saying that, when KathleenLights raved on and on about 'Fairy Floss' being the all time amazing lipgloss, I picked it up and have to say I wear this constantly. I love wearing it on it's own, or on top of a lipstick like Charlotte Tilbury's 'Pillow Talk' and it just makes your lips look fuller.

Colourpop is a brand that I'm definitely going to keep buying from, the only thing that stops me from making an order every week is those pesky customs charges.

Let me know in the comments below what 1 product I need to get from Colourpop!

  21. Love all these tones and always wear the nude to nude/pink shades through the day but the dark vampish tone of Creature should be your next purchase. I like to step out of my comfort zone every now and then and thisshade is great for impact.
