My Christmas Party Go-To Products

The Christmas parties are in full swing and as I've already attended two so far I know, it's only the 8th I thought I'd give a rundown on all the products I pick up for the festive party season.

Firstly on the lips I have two choices, one bold and one much more natural. If I want to go proper bold Christmas lips, my Mac Russian Red lipstick is a true staple for me. The colour is a proper true red, with more of a blue undertone so it isn't berry-toned but a true Christmas red. It's matte so is long wearing which is very important when you're drinking champagne and scoffing canapes all night. If I want more of a lower-maintenance lip I'll wear my trusty Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk and because it's Christmas, I'll layer a bit of Colourpop Ultra Glossy Lip Fairy Floss on top too and it makes your lips look a little fuller and glossier.

The Mac Nutcracker Collection Eyeshadow Pigments from the last year were probably one of my best purchases. I never really got on board with loose pigments before, but I constantly use these now whenever I'm going out and want a really bold intense eye. They are not only incredibly pigmented hence the obvious name but just add that little bit more glitter to an everyday eyeshadow. Although this collection was limited edition, Mac has a load of pigments anyway to chose from and their ones from this years Snowball range are stunning! The Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Palette has a special place in my heart as I purchased it as a little pre-Christmas gift for myself last year, and to me these colours are just everything. The palette is so luxurious and with all the golds and burgundies it makes for a perfect smokey Christmas look.

For me Christmas time is the time to bring out all the glitter and no palette does this better than the Sleek Solstice Highlighter Palette . This palette truly gives you that blinding highlight and although I don't really use the yellow and purple shades in the palette, Ecliptic and Equinox are so wearable and look so smooth on the skin without being chunky at all.

Let me know in the comments below when your next Christmas party is and what your go-to product is!

  2. I loved MAC's Nutcracker collection last year - it included so many great products that I wish were permanent! I've actually never tried a loose pigment, but they do look fab for party looks, so I'll have to check out MAC's range next time I'm beauty shopping!

  9. I'm a massive fan of the colour pop ultra glossy lipsticks - they other formulas are far too drying for me.
