My Spring Makeup Menu

I'm confused on whether we are still in Spring or Summer to be honest. The weather this past weekend has been absolutely stunning and I've never been so happy to see the sun. I feel as if my skin has been in serious dire need of Vitamin D and I'm so happy to have finally switched the heavy thick makeup to some serious lightweight and glowy products.

For my base I've been starting with my much loved BareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream. This is now the only liquid product I use on my face. It's a BB cream product which has a light/medium coverage. Rather than actually leaving a thick layer on my face, this really just smoothes and evens the colouring on my face. It's so hydrating and a winner for anyone with dry skin and with an SPF 30 (a serious bonus)it's got everything you need for these sunny days.

For bronzer I've been going ultimate glow up with my No7 Shimmer Palette 'Rose'. This works so effortlessly to add some all round colour to my face and I don't particular care for contouring or harsh bronzer when I'm not wearing full-coverage foundation, so a light dusting of this on my temples and cheeks leaves that natural shimmery glow. I pair the bronzer with an oldie but a goodie, the Clinique Cheek Pop 'Peach Pop' Blush. This is one serious heavy duty blusher and is so pigmented that you definitely need a light hand! It's a beautiful peachy pink shade that compliments the bronzer so well. I also can't not use my Guerlain Météorites* which I apply a little bit over my temples, under my brow bone and cupid bow to add that lighter-toned glow.

For the eyes I've been reaching for my Urban Decay Naked 3 Eyeshadow Palette. This palette does actually get a little bit abandoned during the colder months as to me all these shades are much more wearable in the Spring and Summer time. I love using the shimmery pinks and mauve browns to compliment a lot of my blush and navy toned outfits.

For the lips I've been moving away from the brown toned nudes and back to the pinkier lipsticks to also mirror my Naked 3 palette eye-looks. The Marc Jacobs New Nudes Sheer Gel Lipstick 'Eat Cake' compliments this makeup menu so well. The formula of this lipstick is incredible, extremely comfortable and as the name suggests, gel-like which is great during the warmer months. The packaging is also one of my favourite things about this lipstick. The bullet is magnetic and so luxurious, a beautiful Spring pink lipstick.

Let me know what products you've been using in your Spring makeup menu in the comments below!

  5. The Naked 3 palette was my first high high end palette...I haven't used it in eons...I also have the BareMinerals Tinted Moisturizer too, and I haven't used it in months either! It's such a nice light base that still gives coverage!

  6. That blush looks so incredibly pigmented! For warmer months, I sometimes opt for lighter coverage foundations such as the Chanel Led Beiges cushion foundation - however, it all depends on how much help I feel I need that day! I also have owned the Naked3 palette since it came out and barely ever reach for it these days. it's not my favorite Naked palette as I do have darker skin so the Naked2 or Heat generally work better. But I agree it's great for those pinky nude shades.

  10. Thanks for reminding me to pop out the Naked 3, it's probably the palette I use the least in my entire collection... It'$s god some really good shades in though!

  11. it definitely feels more like summer than spring and I'm loving it. the Guerlain Météorites look so pretty! I've been using my Naked 3 palette a lot more recently as I kind of ditched it throughout autumn and winter! x
