For the base I'll be taking my trusty BareMinerals Complexion Rescue. I absolutely won't be wearing proper foundation in the 30 degree heat, but I love this complexion rescue because it's so light, provides me with a tiny bit of coverage and also it has SPF 30 in it as well which is so great for a summer base! A product that has been in my drawers for a long time and needs a little bit of love is the Kylie Cosmetics KOKO Collection Face Palette. This palette only really comes out in the summer time because the bronzer is quite dark and the blush is quite an intense coral pink! I love this palette because it's got everything I need for trip away; a bronzer, a blush and two highlighters. However saying that, I have to take my Milani Cosmetics 'Luminiso' blusher with me as it pairs so nicely with one of my lipsticks. A bit excessive I know, but I'll also take my No7 Shimmer Palette 'Rose' with me as the bronzer in the KOKO palette is matte and if I'm going out for dinner I prefer having a bit more of a glow.
For the eyes it's no doubt that I'll be taking the Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerize 'Jean' and 'Bette' with me. This is just an everyday eye staple. I'll be bringing the Colourpop Golden State Of Mind with me and as it's solely shimmery shades it's always good to have a tacky and cream base like Jean for it to adhere to. I'll also take my Tanya Burr 'Birthday Suit' palette as it's an all rounder easy travel palette as you can create both day-time and night-time looks with it.
For the lips I reckon I'll be bringing only two lipsticks with me I'll probably panic add another 5 on the day in my suitcase! The Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G 'Bitch Perfect' lipstick is my favourite summer time lipstick. It's such a comfortable peachy nude and I love that the finish isn't matte but instead a creamsheen sheer formula so it doesn't look harsh as most of the rest of my makeup will be very minimal and I find wearing mattes with a minimal base just looks a bit odd on me. For a bit more colour the Marc Jacobs New Nudes Sheer Lip Gel Lipstick 'Eat Cake' will be my go-to. This is a very pretty summery pink and works so well with the pink blusher in the KOKO palette.
Let me know in the comments below what is a necessity for you to take away with you in your makeup bag whilst on holiday!

How have I never heard of that Koko palette before? It does looks really pretty, and sounds amazing for travelling. I bet it's very lightweight, too, because of the cardboard packaging?
ReplyDeleteLove these photos as well!
