4 Dry Skin Saviours

No matter what time of year it is, my skin type doesn't change. It's just dry. Sahara desert dry. I've pretty much tried every product under the sun and I'm pretty content to say that I've finally found my dry skin saviours for body/face that just work for me!

For Body

I have quite bad keratosis pilaris on my arms for as long as I can remember and I'm really self conscious about having my arms out. I have searched far and wide for products that help to stop it flaring up. The Lush Buffy Bar is an amazing exfoliation but what works so well with it is the Palmer's Cocoa Butter Formula Butter. Cocoa Butter is such a great ingredient for dry skin as it's quite heavy and a deep moisturiser which helps relieve inflammation. Not only is it an amazing moisturiser but I  can see such a massive difference when I use this all over my body. I have quite a few stretch marks and some cellulite on my bum and legs and honestly, if I use this twice/three times a week I seriously see a difference in it. My body does look a lot firmer and any marks/bumps smooth out and tighten. It's seriously a life saver!!

Although I do love the cocoa butter I find applying body moisturisers such a chore, so I like to find alternative ways to get moisturising products into my routine and bath/shower time is perfect for it. I was gifted the Laura Mercier Almond Coconut Milk Honey Bath by my old boss and I absolutely have fallen in love with it. I usually hate all things Almond and Coconut scented, but because of the honey it really balances out the scent and I absolutely love how nourishing this bubble bath is. It makes your body feel so luxurious and my skin always feels silky soft and smooth after.

For Face

This product comes as no surprise as anyone who reads my blog knows what's coming ahead. I've spoken about this product more times than any other I reckon on this blog because it truly is a holy grail. The First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream is hands down the best face moisturiser I've ever used. I've tried the Clinique Moisture surge and sorry, it is no competition on which one beats dry skin. I can tell a massive difference in my skin when I go a week without using it and even though it is a thick moisturiser it has never broken me out or made me overly oily either. Hands down will never stop using this product!

Lastly is another holy grail which is the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream Skin Protectant. This product actually should go in Face and Body because I pretty much use it everywhere. Sometimes my skin can get so cracked on my face that I'm almost left with a dry scab and nothing can soothe it, apart from this wondrous product. It can heal my dry patches within two days because it is such a heavy duty cream. I use it for dry cracked lips, scabs on my legs that don't heal, sunburn and even on my hands when they get really dry. This product is just one that you need to have in your cupboards if you suffer from dry skin because it heals all!

Let me know in the comments below what your dry skin saviours are! I'm always on the lookout for research!
