A Transitional Haul

Yup, there it is, the clichΓ© word.... 'transitional'. It's happening people. I am fully refusing to believe that Summer is ending as I still have a Summer holiday booked, but alas it is getting colder, I am having to carry around a cardigan with me and let's just say, I'm glad I already did Summer purchases as it's pretty much 'Fa la la la' on the high street. Did you know that Selfridges already have their Christmas floor open?!

Although I'm not ready for Summer to end, I am excited to finally get back into Autumn/Winter clothing where I can cozy up and slouch whilst still trying to remain mildly presentable by just slapping on a red lip. I picked up a couple of bits in the shops over the past few weeks so thought I'd do a little haul even though I'm rubbish when it comes to fashion.

Neutrals are clearly going to be my thing this year. Last year I was stuck on the mustards, oranges and burgundy's but this year I'm gravitating to the cream, white, blush tones and grey. I saw this gorgeous H&M Oversized Rib Knit Jumper on Alix from ICovetThee's instagram story and I knew I had to have it. I was umming and ahhing over what size to get as great that H&M normalizing their sizing is, pain in the arse to figure out my new size but settled on a small and it's the perfect size between oversized but not engulfing (I'm a size 10 if it helps anyone out there!). It's a little cropped but perfect for me as I only wear high-waisted skinny jeans/ mom jeans and skirts so great for a small tuck.

Another neutral purchase is this gorgeous cream H&M Satin Cami. H&M I find is usually v. pricey when it comes to their camis so I was thrilled to know this was in the sale...down by £2.99. What a bargain hey, but of course I still purchased it because I'm a sucker. I love these tops for nights out as it's great for over a pair of jeans or tucked into a skirt and gives you that underwear for outerwear look.

It takes a lot for me to fall in love with a bag and I don't really own THAT many. I'm usually very picky with the size, colour, the fact it has to have a zip my mother constantly imprinting this into my brain when I moved to London and that it needs to work with multiple outfits. I spotted this beautiful Accessorize Camille Leather Cross Body Bag which I have now just seen in navy....WANT and knew I had to have it. I think Accessorize can be quite pricey so I waited until I went to the airport to get that duty free discount, and I have not stopped using this bag. It's such a pretty blush pink nude that just works with so many outfits and has three compartments and can fit quite a decent amount in it - and yes mum, all compartments have a zip!

Another big purchase for me are these absolutely divine Allstar Low Leather Papyrus Bio Beige White Exclusive Converse. What a mouthful. Originally I wanted to get the Superga suede Hummus shoes I know how millenial is that, hummus shade shoes, but sadly I just found Superga shoes too wide and uncomfortable so found a near identical shade and style but in Converse and I'm obsessed. I know I won't be able to wear these in the rain and yes, as great as Autumn is with crunchy leaves and hot chocolate, let's not forget RAIN. I love that these have gold hardware detailing and although they are expensive, I did get a sneaky student discount thank you Kate! and I just love them so so much.

Other products I've got my eyes on, well carrying on with the neutral I adore this Newlook Wide Sleeve Jumper  this adorable Pull&Bear Chunky Cardigan  and a Monki Coin Pendant Necklace . Hi my name is Caroline and I'm a shopaholic.

  3. So many lovely bits! Summer is still holding its ground here, so I've been holding off my transitional/autumnal shopping for now, but I've been browsing nontheless and I've got a couple neutral pieces similar to these on my list too. Loving the hummus coloured shoes, how appropriate! Beige is out, hummus is in then XD
